And remember, We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh: They set you hard tasks and punishments, slaughtered your sons and let your women-folk live; therein was a tremendous trial from your Lord.

Behold! when they meet the men of Faith, they say: "We believe": But when they meet each other in private, they say: "Shall you tell them what Allah hath revealed to you, that they may engage you in argument about it before your Lord?"- Do ye not understand (their aim)?

It is never the wish of those without Faith among the People of the Book, nor of the Pagans, that anything good should come down to you from your Lord. But Allah will choose for His special Mercy whom He will - for Allah is Lord of grace abounding.

O ye who believe! the law of equality is prescribed to you in cases of murder: the free for the free, the slave for the slave, the woman for the woman. But if any remission is made by the brother of the slain, then grant any reasonable demand, and compensate him with handsome gratitude, this is a concession and a Mercy from your Lord. After this whoever exceeds the limits shall be in grave penalty.

It is no crime in you if ye seek of the bounty of your Lord (during pilgrimage). Then when ye pour down from (Mount) Arafat, celebrate the praises of Allah at the Sacred Monument, and celebrate His praises as He has directed you, even though, before this, ye went astray.

And (further) their Prophet said to them: "A Sign of his authority is that there shall come to you the Ark of the covenant, with (an assurance) therein of security from your Lord, and the relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron, carried by angels. In this is a symbol for you if ye indeed have faith."

"And (appoint him) a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with this message): "'I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah's leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe;

"'(I have come to you), to attest the Law which was before me. And to make lawful to you part of what was (Before) forbidden to you; I have come to you with a Sign from your Lord. So fear Allah, and obey me.

"And believe no one unless he follows your religion." Say: "True guidance is the Guidance of Allah: (Fear ye) Lest a revelation be sent to someone (else) Like unto that which was sent unto you? or that those (Receiving such revelation) should engage you in argument before your Lord?" Say: "All bounties are in the hand of Allah: He granteth them to whom He pleaseth: And Allah careth for all, and He knoweth all things."

Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous,-

O Mankind! The Messenger hath come to you in truth from Allah: believe in him: It is best for you. But if ye reject Faith, to Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth: And Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.

O mankind! verily there hath come to you a convincing proof from your Lord: For We have sent unto you a light (that is) manifest.

Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.

"Now have come to you, from your Lord, proofs (to open your eyes): if any will see, it will be for (the good of) his own soul; if any will be blind, it will be to his own (harm): I am not (here) to watch over your doings."

Or lest ye should say: "If the Book had only been sent down to us, we should have followed its guidance better than they." Now then hath come unto you a clear (sign) from your Lord,- and a guide and a mercy: then who could do more wrong than one who rejecteth Allah's signs, and turneth away therefrom? In good time shall We requite those who turn away from Our signs, with a dreadful penalty, for their turning away.

Say: "Shall I seek for (my) Cherisher other than Allah, when He is the Cherisher of all things (that exist)? Every soul draws the meed of its acts on none but itself: no bearer of burdens can bear of burdens can bear the burden of another. Your goal in the end is towards Allah: He will tell you the truth of the things wherein ye disputed."

Follow (O men!) the revelation given unto you from your Lord, and follow not, as friends or protectors, other than Him. Little it is ye remember of admonition.

"Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive His Mercy?"

"Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord through a man of your own people, to warn you? call in remembrance that He made you inheritors after the people of Noah, and gave you a stature tall among the nations. Call in remembrance the benefits (ye have received) from Allah: that so ye may prosper."

He said: "Punishment and wrath have already come upon you from your Lord: dispute ye with me over names which ye have devised - ye and your fathers,- without authority from Allah? then wait: I am amongst you, also waiting."

To the Thamud people (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren: He said: "O my people! worship Allah: ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! This she-camel of Allah is a Sign unto you: So leave her to graze in Allah's earth, and let her come to no harm, or ye shall be seized with a grievous punishment.

To the Madyan people We sent Shu'aib, one of their own brethren: he said: "O my people! worship Allah; Ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! Give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due; and do no mischief on the earth after it has been set in order: that will be best for you, if ye have Faith.

One for whom it is right to say nothing but truth about Allah. Now have I come unto you (people), from your Lord, with a clear (Sign): So let the Children of Israel depart along with me."

And remember We rescued you from Pharaoh's people, who afflicted you with the worst of penalties, who slew your male children and saved alive your females: in that was a momentous trial from your Lord.

When Moses came back to his people, angry and grieved, he said: "Evil it is that ye have done in my place in my absence: did ye make haste to bring on the judgment of your Lord?" He put down the tablets, seized his brother by (the hair of) his head, and dragged him to him. Aaron said: "Son of my mother! the people did indeed reckon me as naught, and went near to slaying me! Make not the enemies rejoice over my misfortune, nor count thou me amongst the people of sin."

When some of them said: "Why do ye preach to a people whom Allah will destroy or visit with a terrible punishment?"- said the preachers:" To discharge our duty to your Lord, and perchance they may fear Him."

If thou bring them not a revelation, they say: "Why hast thou not got it together?" Say: "I but follow what is revealed to me from my Lord: this is (nothing but) lights from your Lord, and Guidance, and mercy, for any who have faith."

O mankind! there hath come to you a direction from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts,- and for those who believe, a guidance and a Mercy.

Say: "O ye men! Now Truth hath reached you from your Lord! those who receive guidance, do so for the good of their own souls; those who stray, do so to their own loss: and I am not (set) over you to arrange your affairs."

Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; is firmly established on the throne (of authority); He has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law)! Each one runs (its course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the signs in detail, that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord.

他们遇见信士们，就说：“我们已信道了。”他们彼此私下聚会的时候，他们却说：“你们把真主所启示你们的告诉他们，使他们将来得在主那里据此与你们争论吗？难道你们不了解吗？”

不信道者──信奉天经的和以物配主的──都不愿有任何福利从你们的主降於你们。真主把他的慈恩专赐给他所意欲的人，真主是有宏恩的。

信道的人们啊！今以杀人者抵罪为你们的定制，公民抵偿公民，奴隶抵偿奴隶，妇女抵偿妇女。如果尸亲有所宽赦，那末，一方应依例提出要求，一方应依礼给予赔偿，这是你们的主所降示的减轻和慈恩。事後，过分的人，将受痛苦的刑罚。

寻求主的恩惠，对於你们是无罪的。你们从阿赖法特结队而行的时候，当在禁寺附近记念真主，你们当记念他，因为他曾教导你们，从前你们确是迷误的。

他们的先知对他们说：“他的国权的迹象，是约柜降临你们，约柜里有从主降下的宁静，与穆萨的门徒和哈伦的门徒的遗物，众天神载负著它。对於你们，此中确有一种迹象，如果你们是信士。”

他要使他去教化以色列的后裔。（尔撒说）：我确已把你们的主所降示一种迹象，带来给你们了。我必定为你们用泥做一个象鸟样的东西，我吹口气在里面，它就奉真主的命令而飞动。我奉真主的命令，能医治天然盲、大麻疯，又能使死者复活，又能把你们所吃的和你们储藏在家里的食物告诉你们。对于你们，此中确有一种迹象，如果你们是信道的人。

（我奉命来）证实在我之前降示的《讨拉特》，并为你们解除一部分禁令。我已昭示你们从真主发出的一种迹象，故你们应当敬畏真主，应当服从我。

你们只可以信任你们的教友。”你说：“引导确是真主的引导，难道因为别人获得象你们所获得的启示，或他们将在真主那里与你们辩论，（你们就这样用计）吗?”你说：“恩惠确是由真主掌握，他把它赏赐他所意欲的人。”真主是宽大的,是全知的。

你们当争先趋赴从你们的主发出的赦宥，和那与天地同宽的、已为敬畏者预备好的乐园。

众人啊！使者确已昭示你们从你们的主降示的真理，故你们当确信他，这对于你们是有益的。如果你们不信道，（那末，真主是无需求你们的），因为天地万物，确是真主的。真主是全知的，是至睿的。

众人啊！从你们的主派遣来的明证确已来临你们， 我已降示你们一种明显的光明。

你说：“信奉天经的人啊!你们没有什么信仰，直到你们遵守《讨拉特》和《引支勒》，以及你们的主所降示你们的经典。”你的主降示你的经典，必使他们中多数的人更加横暴，更加不信道；故你不要哀悼不信道的民众。

从你们的主发出的许多明证，已降临你们；谁重视那些明证，谁自受其益；谁忽视那些明证，谁自受其害；我不是监护你们的。

或者说：“假若天经被降示于我们，那末，我们必定比他们更能遵循正道。”从你们的主发出的明证.正道和慈恩，确已降临你们了。否认真主的迹象，而加以背弃的人，有谁比他还不义呢？背弃我的迹象的人，我耐因他们的背弃而以最严厉的刑罚报酬他们。

你说：“真主是万物的主，我能舍他而另求一个主吗？”各人犯罪，自己负责。一个负罪的人，不负别人的罪。然后，你们将来要归于你们的主，而他将把你们所争论的是非告诉你们。

你们当遵循从你们的主降示的经典，你们不要舍真主而顺从许多保佑者。你们很少觉悟。

从你们的主发出的教训，借你们族中一个人的口而降临你们，以便他警告你们，以便你们敬畏，以便你们蒙主的怜悯，难道你们对于这件事觉得惊讶吗？”

从你们的主发出的教训，借你们族中一个人的口降临你们，以便他警告你们，难道你们对于这件事觉得惊讶吗？你们要记忆那时，他在努哈的宗族灭亡之后，以你们为代治者，他使你们的体格更加魁梧，你们要铭记真主的恩典，以便你们成功。”

他说：“刑罚和谴怒，必从你们的主来临你们。你们和你们的祖先所定的许多名称，真主并未加以证实，难道你们要为那些名称与我争论吗？你们等待著吧！我的确是与你们一起等待的。”

（我确已派遣）赛莫德人的弟兄撒立哈去教化他们，他说：“我的宗族啊！你们要崇拜真主，除他之外，绝无应受你们崇拜的。从你们的主发出的明证确已降临你们，这只真主的母驼可以作你们的迹象。故你们让它在真主的大地上随便吃草，不要伤害它，否则，痛苦的刑罚必袭击你们。”

（我确已派遣）麦德彦人的弟兄舒阿卜去教化他们说：“我的宗族啊！你们要崇拜真主，除他之外，绝无应受你们崇拜的。从你们的主发出的明证，确已来临你们了，你们当使用充足的斗和秤，不要克扣别人所应得的货物。在改善地方之后，你们不要在地方上作恶，这对你们是更好的，如果你们是信道者。

我只应该借真主的名义而宣言真理。我确已从你们的主那里给你们带来了一个明证，所以，你应该释放以色列的后裔，让他们同我一起离去。”

当时，我使你们脱离法老的臣民，他们使你们遭受酷刑，屠杀你们的儿子，保全你们的女子。此中有从你们的主降下的大难。

当穆萨愤怒而又悲伤地去见他的宗族的时候，他说：“我不在的时候，你们替我做的事真恶劣！难道你们不能静候你们主的命令吗？”他扔了法版，揪住他哥哥的头发，把他拉到身边。他说：“胞弟啊！宗族们确已欺负我，他们几乎杀害了我，你不要使我的仇敌称快，不要把我当作不义者。”

当时，他们中有一伙人说：“真主要加以毁灭，或加以严惩的民众，你们何必劝戒他们呢？”他们说：“因为求得你们主的原谅，而且希望他们能敬畏。”

当你未昭示种迹象的时候，他们说：“你怎么不创造一种呢？”你说：“我只遵守我的主所启示我的经典，这是为信道的民众而从你们的主降示的明证和引导和慈恩。”

人们啊！确已降临你们的，是从你们的主发出的教诲，是治心病的良药，是对信士们的引导和慈恩。

你说：“众人呀！从你们的主发出的真理，确已降临你们。谁遵循正道，谁自受其益；谁误入歧途，谁自受其害，我不是监护你们的。”

真主建立诸天，而不用你们所能看见的支柱。随后他端坐在宝座上，制服日月，使其各自运行到一个定期。他处理万事，解释迹象，以便你们确信将与你们的主相会。
