But those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what hath been revealed to thee and what was revealed before thee: And (especially) those who establish regular prayer and practise regular charity and believe in Allah and in the Last Day: To them shall We soon give a great reward.

Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth. And Allah loveth not those who do mischief.

Thou seest many of them turning in friendship to the Unbelievers. Evil indeed are (the works) which their souls have sent forward before them (with the result), that Allah's wrath is on them, and in torment will they abide.

If only they had believed in Allah, in the Prophet, and in what hath been revealed to him, never would they have taken them for friends and protectors, but most of them are rebellious wrong-doers.

Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.'

Now then hath come unto you a clear (sign) from your Lord,- and a guide and a mercy: then who could do more wrong than one who rejecteth Allah's signs, and turneth away therefrom? In good time shall We requite those who turn away from Our signs, with a dreadful penalty, for their turning away.

As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: their affair is with Allah: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did.

(Allah) said: "Get out from this, disgraced and expelled. If any of them follow thee,- Hell will I fill with you all.

The leaders of the arrogant party among his people said to those who were reckoned powerless - those among them who believed: "know ye indeed that Salih is a messenger from his Lord?" They said: "We do indeed believe in the revelation which hath been sent through him."

So We exacted retribution from them: We drowned them in the sea, because they rejected Our Signs and failed to take warning from them.

But the transgressors among them changed the word from that which had been given them so we sent on them a plague from heaven. For that they repeatedly transgressed.

When some of them said: "Why do ye preach to a people whom Allah will destroy or visit with a terrible punishment?"- said the preachers:" To discharge our duty to your Lord, and perchance they may fear Him."

Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them."

They are those with whom thou didst make a covenant, but they break their covenant every time, and they have not the fear (of Allah).

But if they have treacherous designs against thee, (O Messenger!), they have already been in treason against Allah, and so hath He given (thee) power over them. And Allah so He Who hath (full) knowledge and wisdom.

The only reasons why their contributions are not accepted are: that they reject Allah and His Messenger; that they come to prayer without earnestness; and that they offer contributions unwillingly.

Those who slander such of the believers as give themselves freely to (deeds of) charity, as well as such as can find nothing to give except the fruits of their labour,- and throw ridicule on them,- Allah will throw back their ridicule on them: and they shall have a grievous penalty.

信道的人们啊!你们不要以犹太教徒和基督教徒为盟友。他们各为其同教的盟友。你们中谁以他们为盟友，谁是他们的同教。真主必定不引导不义的民众。

你看见他们中有许多人，急于作恶犯罪，超过法度，吞食贿赂，他们的行为真恶劣!

犹太教徒说：“真主的手是被拘束的。”但愿他们的手被拘束，但愿他们因为自己所说的恶言而被弃绝!其实，他的两只手是展开的；他要怎样费用，就怎样费用。从你的主降示你的经典，必定要使他们多数的人更加横暴，更加不信道。我将仇视和怨恨，投在他们之间，直到复活日。每逢他们点燃战火的时候，真主就扑灭它。他们在地方上肆意作恶。真主不喜爱作恶的人。

假若他们遵守《讨拉特》和《引支勒》和他们的主所降示他们的其他经典，那末，他们必得仰食头上的，俯食脚下的。他们中有一伙中和的人；他们中有许多行为恶劣的人。

他们猜想没有祸害，故他们变成瞎的、聋的。嗣后，真主赦宥了他们。嗣后，他们中许多人又变成了瞎的、聋的。真主是明察他们的行为的。

妄言真主确是三位中的一位的人，确已不信道了。除独一的主宰外，绝无应受崇拜的。如果他们不停止妄言，那末，他们中不信道的人，必遭痛苦的刑罚。

你将看见他们中有许多人，以不信道的人为盟友；他们所为自己预备的，真恶劣。那就是自召真主的厌恶，他们将永遭刑罚。

假若他们确信真主和先知，以及降示他的经典，他们必定不以不信道的人为盟友，但他们多数是犯罪的。

你必定发现，对于信道者仇恨最深的是犹太教徒和以物配主的人；你必定发现，对于信道者最亲近的是自称基督教徒的人；因为他们当中有许多牧师和僧侣，还因为他们不自大。

那时，真主将说麦尔彦之子尔撒啊!你当记忆我所赐你和你母亲的恩典。当时，我曾以玄灵扶助你，你在摇篮里，在壮年时，对人说话。当时，我曾教你书法、智慧、《讨拉特》和《引支勒》。当时，你奉我的命令，用泥捏一只像鸟样的东西，你吹气在里面，它就奉我的命令而飞动。你曾奉我的命令而治疗天然盲和大麻疯。你又奉我的命令而使死人复活。当时，我曾阻止以色列的后裔伤害你。当时，你曾昭示他们许多迹象，他们中不信道的人说：“这只是明显的魔术。”

在你之前，有许多使者，确已被人嘲笑，但嘲笑者所嘲笑的（刑罚），已降临他们了。

或者说：“假若天经被降示于我们，那末，我们必定比他们更能遵循正道。”从你们的主发出的明证.正道和慈恩，确已降临你们了。否认真主的迹象，而加以背弃的人，有谁比他还不义呢？背弃我的迹象的人，我耐因他们的背弃而以最严厉的刑罚报酬他们。

分离自己的宗教而各成宗派的人，你与他们毫无关系；他们的事，只归真主。然后，他将把他们的行为告诉他们。

主说：“你被贬责地，被弃绝地从这里出去吧！他们中凡是顺从你的，我必以你和他们一起充满火狱。”

他的宗族中骄做的贵族们对本族中被欺压的人们，即信道的人们说：“你们知道撒立哈是他的主派来的使者吗？”他们说：“我们是确信他的使命的。”

于是，我惩治了他们，使他们沉沦在海里，因为他们否认我的迹象，并且忽视它。

但他们中不义者改变了他们所奉的嘱言，故我因他们的不义而降天灾于他们。

当时，他们中有一伙人说：“真主要加以毁灭，或加以严惩的民众，你们何必劝戒他们呢？”他们说：“因为求得你们主的原谅，而且希望他们能敬畏。”

当时，你的主启示众天神：”我是与你们同在的，故你们当使信道者坚定。我要把恐怖投在不信道的人的心中。”故你们当斩他们的首级，断他们的指头。

你和他们中的某些人缔结盟约，而他们每次都违反他们的盟约，他们并不敬畏。

如果他们想欺骗你，那末，他们以前对于真主确已表示欺骗了；但真主使你战胜他们。真主是全知的，至睿的。

他们的捐献之所以不被接受，只是因为他们不信仰真主及其使者，他们不做礼拜则已，但做礼拜时总是懒洋洋的；他们不捐献则已，捐献时总是不情愿的。

信士中有人慷慨捐献，有人（因为贫穷）只能出力，对于嘲笑他们的伪信者，真主将以嘲笑的刑罚报答他们。
