O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.

Those who believed, and adopted exile, and fought for the Faith, with their property and their persons, in the cause of Allah, as well as those who gave (them) asylum and aid,- these are (all) friends and protectors, one of another. As to those who believed but came not into exile, ye owe no duty of protection to them until they come into exile; but if they seek your aid in religion, it is your duty to help them, except against a people with whom ye have a treaty of mutual alliance. And (remember) Allah seeth all that ye do.

The Unbelievers are protectors, one of another: Unless ye do this, (protect each other), there would be tumult and oppression on earth, and great mischief.

The Believers, men and women, are protectors one of another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil: they observe regular prayers, practise regular charity, and obey Allah and His Messenger. On them will Allah pour His mercy: for Allah is Exalted in power, Wise.

They will be of no use to thee in the sight of Allah: it is only Wrong-doers (that stand as) protectors, one to another: but Allah is the Protector of the Righteous.

Say: "O ye that stand on Judaism! If ye think that ye are friends to Allah, to the exclusion of (other) men, then express your desire for Death, if ye are truthful!"

信道的人们啊!你们不要以犹太教徒和基督教徒为盟友。他们各为其同教的盟友。你们中谁以他们为盟友，谁是他们的同教。真主必定不引导不义的民众。

信道而且迁居，并以自己的财产和生命为真主而奋斗的人和款留（使者），赞助（正道）的人，这等人互为监护者。信道而未迁居的人，绝不得与你们互为监护人，直到他们迁居；如果他们为宗教事而向你们求援，那末，你们应当援助他们，除非他们的敌人与你们有盟约关系。真主是明察你们的行为的。

不信道的人互为监护人。如果你们不遵守这个命令，那末，地方上将要发生迫害和大乱。

信道的男女互为保护人，他们劝善戒恶，谨守拜功，完纳天课，服从真主及其使者，这等人真主将怜悯他们。真主确是万能的，确是至睿的。

他们必定不能为你抵御真主的刑罚一丝毫。不义者必定互相监护；真主是监护敬畏者的。

你说：“信奉犹太教的人们啊！如果你们自称是真主的选民，而排斥众人，那你们就希望早死吧，如果你们是诚实者。”
