He said: "O my Lord! I have power only over myself and my brother: so separate us from this rebellious people!"

Say: "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah willeth. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good, and no evil should have touched me: I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith."

Say: "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except as Allah willeth. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation)."

There is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides Allah: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone": But not when Abraham said to his father: "I will pray for forgiveness for thee, though I have no power (to get) aught on thy behalf from Allah." (They prayed): "Our Lord! in Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal.

Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to right conduct."

"Why bringest thou not angels to us if it be that thou hast the Truth?"

Their Prophet said to them: "Allah hath appointed Talut as king over you." They said: "How can he exercise authority over us when we are better fitted than he to exercise authority, and he is not even gifted, with wealth in abundance?" He said: "Allah hath Chosen him above you, and hath gifted him abundantly with knowledge and bodily prowess: Allah Granteth His authority to whom He pleaseth. Allah careth for all, and He knoweth all things."

They said: "We broke not the promise to thee, as far as lay in our power: but we were made to carry the weight of the ornaments of the (whole) people, and we threw them (into the fire), and that was what the Samiri suggested.

Nor would he instruct you to take angels and prophets for Lords and patrons. What! would he bid you to unbelief after ye have bowed your will (To Allah in Islam)?

Even if We did send unto them angels, and the dead did speak unto them, and We gathered together all things before their very eyes, they are not the ones to believe, unless it is in Allah's plan. But most of them ignore (the truth).

We send not the angels down except for just cause: if they came (to the ungodly), behold! no respite would they have!

He doth send down His angels with inspiration of His Command, to such of His servants as He pleaseth, (saying): "Warn (Man) that there is no god but I: so do your duty unto Me."

The Day they see the angels,- no joy will there be to the sinners that Day: The (angels) will say: "There is a barrier forbidden (to you) altogether!"

Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)?

And thou wilt see the angels surrounding the Throne (Divine) on all sides, singing Glory and Praise to their Lord. The Decision between them (at Judgment) will be in (perfect) justice, and the cry (on all sides) will be, "Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!"

And they make into females angels who themselves serve Allah. Did they witness their creation? Their evidence will be recorded, and they will be called to account!

Those who believe not in the Hereafter, name the angels with female names.

And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: "Tell me the names of these if ye are right."

Remember thou saidst to the Faithful: "Is it not enough for you that Allah should help you with three thousand angels (Specially) sent down?

"Yea, - if ye remain firm, and act aright, even if the enemy should rush here on you in hot haste, your Lord would help you with five thousand angels Making a terrific onslaught.

Remember ye implored the assistance of your Lord, and He answered you: "I will assist you with a thousand of the angels, ranks on ranks."

Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them."

Has then your Lord (O Pagans!) preferred for you sons, and taken for Himself daughters among the angels? Truly ye utter a most dreadful saying!

Allah chooses messengers from angels and from men for Allah is He Who hears and sees (all things).

Praise be to Allah, Who created (out of nothing) the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels, messengers with wings,- two, or three, or four (pairs): He adds to Creation as He pleases: for Allah has power over all things.

And (further) their Prophet said to them: "A Sign of his authority is that there shall come to you the Ark of the covenant, with (an assurance) therein of security from your Lord, and the relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron, carried by angels. In this is a symbol for you if ye indeed have faith."

While he was standing in prayer in the chamber, the angels called unto him: "Allah doth give thee glad tidings of Yahya, witnessing the truth of a Word from Allah, and (be besides) noble, chaste, and a prophet,- of the (goodly) company of the righteous."

Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee- chosen thee above the women of all nations.

Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah;

When angels take the souls of those who die in sin against their souls, they say: "In what (plight) Were ye?" They reply: "Weak and oppressed Were we in the earth." They say: "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to move yourselves away (From evil)?" Such men will find their abode in Hell,- What an evil refuge! -

他说：“我的主啊！除我自己和我哥哥外，我不能作主，我求你使我们和犯罪的民众分开。”

你说：“除真主所意欲的外，我不能掌握自己的祸福。假若我能知幽玄，我必多谋福利，不遭灾殃了。我只是一个警告者和对信道的民众的报喜者。”

你说：“我不能为我自己主持祸福，除非真主意欲，每个民族各有一个期限，当他们的期限来临的时候，他们不能耽延一会儿；（当其未来临的时候，）他们不能提前的一会儿。”

易卜拉欣和他的教徒，是你们的好模范。当时，他们曾对自己的宗族说：“我们对於你们，和你们舍真主而崇拜的，确是无干的，我们不承认你们。我们彼此间的仇恨，永远存在。直到你们只信仰真主。”但易卜拉欣对他父亲所说的话，不可做你们的模范。他曾说：“我必定为你求饶，我不能为你抵御真主的一些刑罚。”他们曾说：“我们的主啊！我们只信托你，我们只依归你，只有你是最後的归宿。

你说：“我不能为你们主持祸福。”

你怎不昭示我们一些天神呢？如果你是说实话的。”

他们的先知对他们说：“真主确已为你们立塔鲁特为国王了。”他们说：“他怎麽配做我们的国王呢？我们是比他更配做国王的，况且他没有丰富的财产。”他说：“真主确已选他为你们的领袖，并且加赐他渊博的学识和健壮的体魄。”真主常常把国权赏赐自己所意欲的人。真主是宽大的，全知的。

他们说：“我们没有自愿地违背对你的约言， 但我们把（埃及人的）许多首饰携带出来，觉得很沉重，我们就抛下了那些首饰，撒米里也同样抛下了（他所携带的首饰）。”

他也不致教你们以众天神和众先知为主宰。你们既归顺之后，他怎能教你们不信道呢？

即使我命众天神降临他们，即使死人能对他们说话，即使我把万物集合在他们的面前，除非真主意欲，否则，他们不会信道；但他们大半是无知的。

我只凭真理而降天神，到那时，他们是不蒙缓刑的。

他使天神们奉他的命令，偕同精神，降临他所意欲的仆人，说：“你们应当警告世人说：除我之外，绝无应受崇拜的，所以你们应当敬畏我。”

他们看见众天神的日子，犯罪者将没有好消息，众天神要对他们说：“（乐园对于你们）是应为严禁的。”

还是我曾将众天神造成女性的，他们曾眼见我的创造呢？

你将见众天神环绕在宝座的四周，颂扬他们的主，他们将被秉公裁判。或者说：“一切赞颂，全归真主--全世界的主！”

众天神本是真主的奴仆，他们却以众天神为女性。他们曾见证真主创造众天神吗？他们的见证将被记录下来，他们也将被审问。

不信么世的人们，的确以女性的名称称呼天神们。

他将万物的名称，都教授阿丹，然後以万物昭示众天神，说：“你们把这些事物的名称告诉我吧，如果你们是诚实的。”

当时，你对信士们说：“你们的主降下天神三千来援助你们，还不够吗？

不然，如果你们坚忍，并且敬畏，而敌人立刻来攻你们，那末，你们的主，将使袭击的天神五千来援助你们。”

当时，你们求援于你们的主，他就答应了你们：”我要陆续降下一千天神去援助你们。”

当时，你的主启示众天神：”我是与你们同在的，故你们当使信道者坚定。我要把恐怖投在不信道的人的心中。”故你们当斩他们的首级，断他们的指头。

难道你们的主把男儿赏赐你们，而以众天神为自己的女儿吗？你们的确说出荒谬的话。

真主从天神中，于人类中拣选若干使者，真主确是全聪的，确是全明的。

一切赞颂，全归真主--天地的创造者！他使每个天神具有两翼，或三翼，或四翼。他在创造中增加他所欲增加的。真主对于万事确是全能的。

他们的先知对他们说：“他的国权的迹象，是约柜降临你们，约柜里有从主降下的宁静，与穆萨的门徒和哈伦的门徒的遗物，众天神载负著它。对於你们，此中确有一种迹象，如果你们是信士。”

正当宰凯里雅站在内殿祈祷的时候，天神喊叫他说：“真主以叶哈雅向你报喜，他要证实从真主发出的一句话，要长成尊贵的、克己的人，要变成一个善良的先知。”

当时，天神说：“麦尔彦啊！真主确已拣选你，使你纯洁，使你超越全世界的妇女。

当时，天神说：“麦尔彦啊！真主的确把从他发出的一句话向你报喜。他的名子是麦尔彦之子麦西哈.尔撒，在今世和后世都是有面子的，是真主所亲近的。

在自欺的情状之下众天神使其死亡的人，众天神必定问他们说：“生前你们是在什么情状之下呢！”他们说：“我们在地方上被人欺负的。”他们问：”难道真主的大地不是宽阔的、能容你们迁移的吗？”这等人的归宿是火狱，那是一个恶劣的归宿。
