the covenant
(from) the Children
(of) Israel,
'You will not worship

Allah,
and with [the] parents
(be) good
and (with) relatives
and [the] orphans
and the needy,
and speak
to [the] people
good,
and establish
the prayer
and give
the zakah.'

you turned away,
except
a few
of you,
and you (were)
refusing.

witnesses

he said
to his sons,

after me?'

And remember We took a covenant from the Children of Israel (to this effect): Worship none but Allah; treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practise regular charity. 你们舍真主而崇拜的，只是你们和你们的祖先所定的一些（偶像的）名称，真主并未加以证实，一切判决只归真主。他命令你们只崇拜他。这才是正教。但世人大半不知道。
你们可以吃真主赏赐你们的合法而佳美的食物，你们应当感谢真主的恩惠，如果你们只崇拜他。
呸，你们不崇拜真主，却崇拜这些东西，难道你们不理解吗？”

除真主外，你们只崇拜偶像，你们只捏造妄言。你们舍真主而崇拜的（偶像），不能主持你们的给养，所以，你们应当到真主那里寻求给养，你们应当崇拜他，你们应当感谢他，你们只被召归他。

易卜拉欣和他的教徒，是你们的好模范。当时，他们曾对自己的宗族说：“我们对於你们，和你们舍真主而崇拜的，确是无干的，我们不承认你们。我们彼此间的仇恨，永远存在。直到你们只信仰真主。”但易卜拉欣对他父亲所说的话，不可做你们的模范。他曾说：“我必定为你求饶，我不能为你抵御真主的一些刑罚。”他们曾说：“我们的主啊！我们只信托你，我们只依归你，只有你是最後的归宿。
