The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve (in a year)- so ordained by Him the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred: that is the straight usage. So wrong not yourselves therein, and fight the Pagans all together as they fight you all together. But know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves.

"If not Him, ye worship nothing but names which ye have named,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah hath sent down no authority: the command is for none but Allah: He hath commanded that ye worship none but Him: that is the right religion, but most men understand not...

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him is duty due always: then will ye fear other than Allah?

So set thou thy face steadily and truly to the Faith: (establish) Allah's handiwork according to the pattern on which He has made mankind: no change (let there be) in the work (wrought) by Allah: that is the standard Religion: but most among mankind understand not.

Is it not to Allah that sincere devotion is due? But those who take for protectors other than Allah (say): "We only serve them in order that they may bring us nearer to Allah." Truly Allah will judge between them in that wherein they differ. But Allah guides not such as are false and ungrateful.

你们当反抗他们，直到迫害消除，而宗教专为真主；如果他们停战，那末，除不义者外，你们绝不要侵犯任何人。

依真主的判断，月数确是十二个月，真主创造天地之日，已记录在天经中。其中有s四个禁月，这确是正教。故你们在禁月里不要自欺。以物配主的人群起而进攻你们，你们也就应当群起而抵抗他们。你们应当知道，真主是和敬畏者在一起的。

你们舍真主而崇拜的，只是你们和你们的祖先所定的一些（偶像的）名称，真主并未加以证实，一切判决只归真主。他命令你们只崇拜他。这才是正教。但世人大半不知道。

天地万物只是他的，顺从常常只归于他。难道你们舍真主而敬畏他物吗？

你应当趋向正教，（并谨守）真主所赋予人的本性。真主所创造的，是不容变更的；这才是正教，但人们大半不知道。

真的，应受诚笃的顺服者，只有真主。舍真主而以偶像为保护者的人说：“我们崇拜他们，只为他们能使我们亲近真主。”真主将判决他们所争论的是非。真主必定不引导说谎者、孤恩者。
