They will swear
by Allah
to you
when
you returned
to them,
that you may turn away
from them.
So turn away
from them,
indeed, they
(are) impure
and their abode
(is) Hell,
a recompense
for what
they used (to)
earn.
And say,
`Do,
then Allah will see
your deed
and His Messenger,
and the believers.
And you will be brought back
to
(the) Knower
(of) the unseen
and the seen,
then He will inform you
of what
you used (to)
do.`
And on
the three
(of) those who
were left behind,
until
when
(was) straitened
for them
the earth,
though
it was vast.
And (was) straitened
for them
their own souls
and they were certain
that
(there is) no
refuge
from
Allah
except
to Him.
Then
He turned (in mercy)
to them
that they may repent.
Indeed,
Allah,
He
(is) the Acceptor of repentance,
the Most Merciful.
To Him,
(will be) your return
[all].
Promise
(of) Allah
(is) true.
Indeed, He
originates
the creation,
then
He repeats it,
that He may reward
those who
believed
and did
the good deeds,
injustice.
But those who
disbelieved,
for them
(will be) a drink
of
boiling fluids
and a punishment
painful,
because
they used (to)
disbelieve.
Those
their abode
(will be) the Fire,
for what
they used (to)
earn.
And they worship
other than Allah
that (which)
(does) not
harm them
and not
benefit them,
and they say,
`These
(are) our intercessors
with
Allah.`
Say,
`Do you inform
Allah
of what
He does not know
in
the heavens
and not
in
the earth?
Glorified is He
and Exalted
above what
they associate (with Him).
But when
He saved them,
behold!
They
rebel
in
the earth
without
[the] right.
O mankind!
Only
your rebellion
(is) against
yourselves,
(the) enjoyment
(of) the life
(of) the world.
Then
to Us
(is) your return
and We will inform you
of what
you used (to)
do.
And not
follow
most of them
except
assumption.
Indeed,
the assumption
(does) not
avail
against
the truth
anything.
Indeed,
Allah
(is) All-Knower
of what
they do.
Nay,
they denied
what
not
they could encompass
(of) its knowledge
and not
has come (to) them
its interpretation.
Thus
denied
those
before them,
then see
how
was
(the) end
(of) the wrongdoers.
Then
it will be said
to those who
wronged,
`Taste
punishment
the everlasting.
And you (being) recompensed
except
for what
you used (to)
earn?`
An enjoyment
in
the world,
then
to Us
(is) their return,
then
We will make them taste
the punishment
the severe
because
they used to
disbelieve.
Then
We sent
after him
Messengers
to
their people,
and they came to them
with clear proofs.
But not
they were
to believe
what
they had denied
[it]
before.
Thus
We seal
[on]
the hearts
(of) the transgressors.
And not
I say
to you
(that) with me
(are the) treasures
(of) Allah,
and not
I know
the unseen,
and not
I say
that I am
an Angel,
and not
I say
for those whom
look down upon
your eyes,
never
will Allah give them
any good.
Allah
knows best
what
(is) in
their souls.
Indeed, I
then
(will be) surely of
the wrongdoers.`
They said,
`O Nuh!
Indeed,
you disputed with us
and you (have been) frequent
(in) dispute with us.
So bring us
what
you threaten us (with),
if
you are
of
the truthful.
And it was revealed
to
Nuh,
`That
will never
believe
from
your people
except
(those) who
have already
believed.
So (do) not
(be) distressed
by what
they have been
doing.
He said,
`O my people!
is my family
mightier
on you
than
Allah?
And you have taken Him,
behind your
backs.
Indeed,
my Lord
of what
you do
(is) All-Encompassing.
And indeed,
to each [when]
surely will pay them in full
your Lord
their deeds.
Indeed, He
of what
they do
(is) All-Aware.
So stand firm
as
you are commanded
and (those) who
turn (in repentance)
with you,
and (do) not
transgress.
Indeed, He
of what
you do
(is) All-Seer.
We
relate
to you
the best
of the narrations
in what
We have revealed
to you
(of) this
the Quran,
although
you were,
before it,
surely among
the unaware.
And there came
a caravan
and they sent
their water drawer
then he let down
his bucket.
He said,
`O good news!
This
(is) a boy.`
And they hid him
(as) a merchandise.
And Allah
(is) All-Knower
of what
they do.
And when
they entered
upon
Yusuf,
he took
to himself
his brother.
He said,
`Indeed, I
[I] am
your brother
so (do) not
grieve
for what
they used (to)
do.`
They said,
`If
he steals -
then verily
stole
a brother
of his
before.`
But Yusuf kept it secret
within
himself,
and (did) not
reveal it
to them.
He said,
`You
(are the) worse
(in) position,
and Allah
knows best
of what
you describe.`
Return
to
your father
and say,
`O our father!
Indeed,
your son
has stolen,
and not
we testify
except
of what
we knew.
And not
we were
of the unseen
guardians.
(Saying), `Peace
(be) upon you
for what
you patiently endured.
And excellent
(is) the final attainment
(of) the Home.
And if
that was
the Quran,
could be moved
by it
the mountains,
or
could be cloven a sunder
by it
the earth,
or
could be made to speak
by it
the dead.
Nay,
with Allah
(is) the command
all.
Then do not
know
those who
believe
that
if
Allah had willed
surely, He would have guided
all of the mankind?
And not
will cease
those who
disbelieve
to strike them
for what
they did
a disaster,
or
it settles
close
from
their homes
until
comes
(the) Promise of Allah.
Indeed,
Allah
(will) not
fail
(in) the Promise.
Is then He Who
(is) a Maintainer
of
every
soul
for what
it has earned?
Yet they ascribe
to Allah
partners.
Say,
`Name them.
Or
(do) you inform Him
of what
not
He knows
in
the earth
or
of the apparent
of
the words?`
Nay,
(is) made fair-seeming
to those who
disbelieve
their plotting,
and they are hindered
from
the Path.
And whoever
Allah lets go astray
then not
for him
any
guide.
Is then He Who
(is) a Maintainer
of
every
soul
for what
it has earned?
Yet they ascribe
to Allah
partners.
Say,
`Name them.
Or
(do) you inform Him
of what
not
He knows
in
the earth
or
of the apparent
of
the words?`
Nay,

rejoice
at what
has been revealed
to you,

the groups
(those) who
deny
a part of it.
Say,
`Only
I have been commanded
that
I worship
Allah,
and not
I associate partners
with Him.
To Him
I call
and to Him
(is) my return.`
Has not
come to you
(the) news
(of) those who
(were) before you,
the people
of Nuh,
and Aad
and Thamud
and those who
(were) after them?
None
knows them
except
Allah.
Came to them
their Messengers
with clear proofs
but they returned
their hands
in
their mouths
and they said,
`Indeed we
[we] disbelieve
in what
you have been sent
with [it],
and indeed, we
(are) surely in
doubt
about what
you invite us
to it
suspicious.`
And will say
the Shaitaan,
when
has been decided
the matter,
`Indeed,
Allah
promised you
a promise
(of) truth.
And I promised you,
but I betrayed you.
But not
I had
over you
any
authority
except
that
I invited you,
and you responded
to me.
So (do) not
blame me,
but blam
yourselves.
Not
(can) I
(be) your helper
and not
you (can)
(be) my helper.
Indeed, I
deny
[of what]
your association of me (with Allah)
before.
Indeed,
the wrongdoers,
for them
(is) a punishment
painful.
They will swear to you by Allah, when ye return to them, that ye may leave them alone. So leave them alone: For they are an abomination, and Hell is their dwelling-place,-a fitting recompense for the (evil) that they did.
And say: "Work (righteousness): Soon will Allah observe your work, and His Messenger, and the Believers: Soon will ye be brought back to the knower of what is hidden and what is open: then will He show you the truth of all that ye did."
(He turned in mercy also) to the three who were left behind; (they felt guilty) to such a degree that the earth seemed constrained to them, for all its spaciousness, and their (very) souls seemed straitened to them,- and they perceived that there is no fleeing from Allah (and no refuge) but to Himself. Then He turned to them, that they might repent: for Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
To Him will be your return- of all of you. The promise of Allah is true and sure. It is He Who beginneth the process of creation, and repeateth it, that He may reward with justice those who believe and work righteousness; but those who reject Him will have draughts of boiling fluids, and a penalty grievous, because they did reject Him.
Their abode is the Fire, because of the (evil) they earned.
They serve, besides Allah, things that hurt them not nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do ye indeed inform Allah of something He knows not, in the heavens or on earth?- Glory to Him! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!"
But when he delivereth them, behold! they transgress insolently through the earth in defiance of right! O mankind! your insolence is against your own souls,- an enjoyment of the life of the present: in the end, to Us is your return, and We shall show you the truth of all that ye did.
But most of them follow nothing but fancy: truly fancy can be of no avail against truth. Verily Allah is well aware of all that they do.
Nay, they charge with falsehood that whose knowledge they cannot compass, even before the elucidation thereof hath reached them: thus did those before them make charges of falsehood: but see what was the end of those who did wrong!
"At length will be said to the wrong-doers: 'Taste ye the enduring punishment! ye get but the recompense of what ye earned!'"
A little enjoyment in this world!- and then, to Us will be their return, then shall We make them taste the severest penalty for their blasphemies.
Then after him We sent (many) messengers to their peoples: they brought them Clear Signs, but they would not believe what they had already rejected beforehand. Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors.
"I tell you not that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor do I know what is hidden, nor claim I to be an angel. Nor yet do I say, of those whom your eyes do despise that Allah will not grant them (all) that is good: Allah knoweth best what is in their souls: I should, if I did, indeed be a wrong-doer."
They said: "O Noah! thou hast disputed with us, and (much) hast thou prolonged the dispute with us: now bring upon us what thou threatenest us with, if thou speakest the truth!?"
It was revealed to Noah: "None of thy people will believe except those who have believed already! So grieve no longer over their (evil) deeds.
He said: "O my people! is then my family of more consideration with you than Allah? For ye cast Him away behind your backs (with contempt). But verily my Lord encompasseth on all sides all that ye do!
And, of a surety, to all will your Lord pay back (in full the recompense) of their deeds: for He knoweth well all that they do.
Therefore stand firm (in the straight Path) as thou art commanded,- thou and those who with thee turn (unto Allah); and transgress not (from the Path): for He seeth well all that ye do.
We do relate unto thee the most beautiful of stories, in that We reveal to thee this (portion of the) Qur'an: before this, thou too was among those who knew it not.
Then there came a caravan of travellers: they sent their water-carrier (for water), and he let down his bucket (into the well)...He said: "Ah there! Good news! Here is a (fine) young man!" So they concealed him as a treasure! But Allah knoweth well all that they do!
Now when they came into Joseph's presence, he received his (full) brother to stay with him. He said (to him): "Behold! I am thy (own) brother; so grieve not at aught of their doings."
They said: "If he steals, there was a brother of his who did steal before (him)." But these things did Joseph keep locked in his heart, revealing not the secrets to them. He (simply) said (to himself): "Ye are the worse situated; and Allah knoweth best the truth of what ye assert!"
"Turn ye back to your father, and say, 'O our father! behold! thy son committed theft! we bear witness only to what we know, and we could not well guard against the unseen!
"Peace unto you for that ye persevered in patience! Now how excellent is the final home!"
If there were a Qur'an with which mountains were moved, or the earth were cloven asunder, or the dead were made to speak, (this would be the one!) But, truly, the command is with Allah in all things! Do not the Believers know, that, had Allah (so) willed, He could have guided all mankind (to the right)? But the Unbelievers,- never will disaster cease to seize them for their (ill) deeds, or to settle close to their homes, until the promise of Allah come to pass, for, verily, Allah will not fail in His promise.

Nay! to those who believe not, their pretence seems pleasing, but they are kept back (thereby) from the path. And those whom Allah leaves to stray, no one can guide.
Is then He who standeth over every soul (and knoweth) all that it doth, (like any others)? And yet they ascribe partners to Allah. Say: "But name them! is it that ye will inform Him of something he knoweth not on earth, or is it (just) a show of words?" Nay! to those who believe not, their pretence seems pleasing, but they are kept back (thereby) from the path. And those whom Allah leaves to stray, no one can guide.
Those to whom We have given the Book rejoice at what hath been revealed unto thee: but there are among the clans those who reject a part thereof. Say: "I am commanded to worship Allah, and not to join partners with Him. Unto Him do I call, and unto Him is my return."
Has not the story reached you, (O people!), of those who (went) before you? - of the people of Noah, and 'Ad, and Thamud? - And of those who (came) after them? None knows them but Allah. To them came messengers with Clear (Signs); but they put their hands up to their mouths, and said: "We do deny (the mission) on which ye have been sent, and we are really in suspicious (disquieting) doubt as to that to which ye invite us."
And Satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but ye listened to me: then reproach not me, but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty."
当你们转回去见到他们的时候，他们要以真主发誓，以便你们避开他们。你们就避开他们吧。他们确是污秽的；他们的归宿是火狱。那是因为报酬他们的营谋。
你说：“你们工作吧！真主及其使者和信士们都要看见你们的工作；你们将被送到全知幽明者那里去，而他要将你们的工作告诉你们。”
他也允许那三个人悔过，他们留待真主的命令，感到大地虽广，他们觉得无地自容；心境也觉得很狭隘，相信除向真主悔过外，无法逃避真主的震怒。此后，他允许了他们悔过，以便他们自新。真主确是至恕的，确是至慈的。
你们都只归于他，真主的诺言是真实的。他确已创造了万物，而且必加以再造，以便他秉公地报酬信道而且行善者。不信道者，将因自己的不信道而饮沸水，并受痛苦的刑罚。
他们将因自己的营谋而以火狱为归宿。
除真主外，他们崇拜那对他们既无福又无祸的东西，他们说：“这些（偶像）是在真主那里替我们说情的。”你说：“难道真主不知道天地间有此事，而要你们来告诉他吗！赞美真主，他超乎万物！他超乎他们在他之外所崇拜的东西！”
当他拯救了他们的时候，他们忽然在地方上无理地侵害（他人）。人们啊！你们的侵害只有害于自身，那是今世生活的享受，然后，你们只归于我，我要把你们的行为告诉你们。
他们大半是只凭猜想，猜想对于真理是毫无裨益的。真主确是全知他们的行为的。
不！他们否认他们所未通晓，而其解释尚未降临的经典。在他们之前的人，曾这样把他们族中的使者称为说谎者。你看看！不义者的结局，是怎样的！
然后，有人要对不义的人们说：“你们尝试永久的刑罚吧！你们只因自己的谋求而受报酬。”
这只是今世的享受，然后他们只归于我，然后我将因他们不信道而使他们尝试严厉的刑罚。
在他之后，我曾派遣许多使者，去教化他们自己的宗族。他们曾用许多明证昭示他们，但他们不会相信自己以前所否认的东西。我这样封闭过分者的心。
我不对你们说我有真主的宝藏，也不说我知道幽玄，也不说我确是一个天神，也不说你们所藐视的人，真主绝不赏赐他们任何福利--真主是知道他们的事情的--否则，我必是一个不义的人。”
他们说：“努哈啊！你确已和我们争论，而且争论得太多了，你昭示我们你用来吓唬我们的惩罚吧，如果你是一个诚实的人。”
努哈奉到启示说：“你的宗族中除已归信者外，绝不会再有人归信你，故你不要为他们的行为而悲伤。
他说：“我的宗族啊！难道我的家族对于你们骐u主还尊贵吗？你们把真主当作你们背后的弃物，我的主确是彻知你们的行为的。
你的主必使每个人都得享受自己行为的完全的报酬，他确是彻知他们的行为的。
你应当按照天命而遵循正路，与你一起悔过的人，也当遵循正路。你们不要过分，他确是明察你们的行为的。
我借著启示你这部《古兰经》而告诉你最美的故事，在这以前，你确是疏忽的。
旅客们来了，他们派人去汲水，他把水桶缒下井去，他说：“啊！好消息！这是一个少年。”他们秘密地把他当作货物，真主是全知他们的行为的。
当他们进去见优素福的时候，他拥抱他弟弟，他说：“我确是你哥哥，你不要为他们过去的所作所为而悲伤吧。”
他们说：“如果他偷窃，那末，他有一个哥哥从前就偷窃过。”优素福把这句话隐藏在心中，没有对他们表示出来，他暗暗他说：“你们的处境是更恶劣的。真主是知道你们所叙述的事情的。”
你们回去见父亲，然后对他说：我们的父亲啊！你的儿子确已偷窃，我们只作证我们所知道的。我们不是保证幽玄的。
（说）：”祝你们平安！这是你们因坚忍而得的报酬，后世的善果真优美。”
假若有一部《古兰经》，可用来移动山岳，或破裂大地，或使死人说话，（他们必不信它）。不然，一切事情只归真主，难道信道的人们不知道吗？假若真主意欲，地必引导全人类。不信道的人们还要因自己的行为而遭受灾殃，或他们住宅的附近遭受灾殃，直到真主的应许到来。真主确是不爽约的。
监视每个灵魂的谋求者，难道像那不能监视的吗？他们为真主树立了许多伙伴，你说：“你们指出他们的名称吧。难道你们把真主在大地上所不知道的告诉他吗？不然，你们据浮辞而称他们为真主的伙伴。”不然，不信道者，已为自己的计谋所迷惑了。他们被阻挠而不能入正道。真主使谁迷误，谁就没有向导。
监视每个灵魂的谋求者，难道像那不能监视的吗？他们为真主树立了许多伙伴，你说：“你们指出他们的名称吧。难道你们把真主在大地上所不知道的告诉他吗？不然，你们据浮辞而称他们为真主的伙伴。”不然，不信道者，已为自己的计谋所迷惑了。他们被阻挠而不能入正道。真主使谁迷误，谁就没有向导。
蒙我赏赐经典的人喜欢降示给你的经典，同盟者当中，有人否认这经典的一部分。你说：“我只奉命崇拜真主，而不以物配他，我只号召人崇拜他，我只归依他。”
你们以前的民族--努哈的宗族、阿德人、赛莫德人和他们以后的人，只有真主能知道他们--难道这等人的消息没有来临你们吗？他们族中的使者昭示他们许多明证，但他们把自己的手指插入口内，说：“我们必定不信你们所奉的使命，我们对于你们所宣传的事情，确是在使人不安的疑惑之中。”
当事情已被判决的时候，恶魔说：“真主确已真实地应许你们，我也曾应许你们，但我对你们爽约了。我对你们本来没有什么权力，不过是我召唤你们，而你们响应我的号召。所以你们不要责备我，应当责备自己，我不能援救你们，你们也不能援救我。我不承认以前你们曾把我配主，不义者必受痛苦的刑罚。”
