and the matter is decreed?
surely (would) have been decided;
respite would be granted to them.

Will they wait until Allah comes to them in canopies of clouds, with angels (in His train) and the question is (thus) settled? but to Allah do all questions go back (for decision).
They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them.
Say: "If what ye would see hastened were in my power, the matter would be settled at once between you and me. But Allah knoweth best those who do wrong."
Then the word went forth: "O earth! swallow up thy water, and O sky! Withhold (thy rain)!" and the water abated, and the matter was ended. The Ark rested on Mount Judi, and the word went forth: "Away with those who do wrong!"
To Allah do belong the unseen (secrets) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him goeth back every affair (for decision): then worship Him, and put thy trust in Him: and thy Lord is not unmindful of aught that ye do.
"O my two companions of the prison! As to one of you, he will pour out the wine for his lord to drink: as for the other, he will hang from the cross, and the birds will eat from off his head. (so) hath been decreed that matter whereof ye twain do enquire"...
If there were a Qur'an with which mountains were moved, or the earth were cloven asunder, or the dead were made to speak, (this would be the one!) But, truly, the command is with Allah in all things! Do not the Believers know, that, had Allah (so) willed, He could have guided all mankind (to the right)? But the Unbelievers,- never will disaster cease to seize them for their (ill) deeds, or to settle close to their homes, until the promise of Allah come to pass, for, verily, Allah will not fail in His promise.
And Satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but ye listened to me: then reproach not me, but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty."
But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe!
Within a few years. With Allah is the Decision, in the past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice-
Were it to obey and say what is just, and when a matter is resolved on, it were best for them if they were true to Allah.
Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge.
他们只等待真主在云荫中与众天神同齐降临,事情将被判决。一切事情,只归真主安排。
他们说:“为什么没有一个天神降临他呢?”假若我降下一个天神,那末,他们的毁灭,必成定案,而他们不蒙宽待了。
你说:“假若我能主持你们要求早日实现的刑罚,那末,我与你们之间的事情,必定被判决了。”真主是最了解不义者的。
有人说:“地啊!汲乾你上面的水吧!云啊!散开吧!”于是洪水退去了,事情就被判决了。船停舶在朱迭山上。有人说:“不义的人们已遭毁灭了。”
天地的幽玄只是真主的,一切事情只归他,故你应当崇拜他,应当信赖他。你的主绝不忽视你们的行为。
同监的两位朋友啊!你们俩中有一个要替他的主人斟酒,有一个要被钉死在十字架上,而众鸟飞到他的头上来吃他。你俩所询问的事情,已被判决了。”
假若有一部《古兰经》,可用来移动山岳,或破裂大地,或使死人说话,(他们必不信它)。不然,一切事情只归真主,难道信道的人们不知道吗?假若真主意欲,地必引导全人类。不信道的人们还要因自己的行为而遭受灾殃,或他们住宅的附近遭受灾殃,直到真主的应许到来。真主确是不爽约的。
当事情已被判决的时候,恶魔说:“真主确已真实地应许你们,我也曾应许你们,但我对你们爽约了。我对你们本来没有什么权力,不过是我召唤你们,而你们响应我的号召。所以你们不要责备我,应当责备自己,我不能援救你们,你们也不能援救我。我不承认以前你们曾把我配主,不义者必受痛苦的刑罚。”
你应当警告他们悔恨之日,当日一切事情已被判决,而他们现在还在疏忽之中。他们不信正道。
于数年之间。以前和以后,凡事归真主主持。在那日,信道的人将要欢喜。
服从和婉辞,于他们是更相宜的。当战争被决定的时候,假若他们忠于真主,那对于他们是更好的。
真主创造了七层天,和同样层数的大地,天命通过七层天而下降,以便你们知道,真主对于万事是全能的,真主是周知万物的。
