But they will never seek for death, on account of the (sins) which their hands have sent on before them. and Allah is well-acquainted with the wrong-doers.

Hast thou not Turned thy vision to the Chiefs of the Children of Israel after (the time of) Moses? they said to a prophet (That was) among them: "Appoint for us a king, that we May fight in the cause of Allah." He said: "Is it not possible, if ye were commanded to fight, that that ye will not fight?" They said: "How could we refuse to fight in the cause of Allah, seeing that we were turned out of our homes and our families?" but when they were commanded to fight, they turned back, except a small band among them. But Allah Has full knowledge of those who do wrong.

Say: "If what ye would see hastened were in my power, the matter would be settled at once between you and me. But Allah knoweth best those who do wrong."

If they had come out with you, they would not have added to your (strength) but only (made for) disorder, hurrying to and fro in your midst and sowing sedition among you, and there would have been some among you who would have listened to them. But Allah knoweth well those who do wrong.

But never will they express their desire (for Death), because of the (deeds) their hands have sent on before them! and Allah knows well those that do wrong!

他们因为曾经犯罪，所以绝不希望早死。真主对於不义的人，是全知的。

你不知道穆萨死後以色列人中的领袖吗？当时他们对一个同族的先知说：“请你替我们立一个国王，我们就为主道而战斗。”他说：“如果战斗成为你们的定制，你们会不战斗吗？”他们说：“我们已被敌人逐出故乡，父子离散，我们怎能不为主道而战斗呢？”战斗已成为他们的定制的时候，他们除少数人外，都违背命令了。真主是全知不义的人的。

你说：“假若我能主持你们要求早日实现的刑罚，那末，我与你们之间的事情，必定被判决了。”真主是最了解不义者的。

假若他们同你们一起出征，那末，他们只会在你们中间进行捣乱，他们必定在你们中间挑拨离间，你们中间有些人替他们作侦探。真主是全知不义者的。

他们因为曾经犯过罪，所以永远不希望早死。真主是全知不义者的。
