They ask thee concerning wine and gambling. Say: "In them is great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit." They ask thee how much they are to spend; Say: "What is beyond your needs." Thus doth Allah Make clear to you His Signs: In order that ye may consider-

Say: "O Allah! Lord of Power (And Rule), Thou givest power to whom Thou pleasest, and Thou strippest off power from whom Thou pleasest: Thou enduest with honour whom Thou pleasest, and Thou bringest low whom Thou pleasest: In Thy hand is all good. Verily, over all things Thou hast power.

They ask thy instruction concerning the women say: Allah doth instruct you about them: And (remember) what hath been rehearsed unto you in the Book, concerning the orphans of women to whom ye give not the portions prescribed, and yet whom ye desire to marry, as also concerning the children who are weak and oppressed: that ye stand firm for justice to orphans. There is not a good deed which ye do, but Allah is well-acquainted therewith.

They ask thee for a legal decision. Say: Allah directs (thus) about those who leave no descendants or ascendants as heirs. If it is a man that dies, leaving a sister but no child, she shall have half the inheritance: If (such a deceased was) a woman, who left no child, Her brother takes her inheritance: If there are two sisters, they shall have two-thirds of the inheritance (between them): if there are brothers and sisters, (they share), the male having twice the share of the female. Thus doth Allah make clear to you (His law), lest ye err. And Allah hath knowledge of all things.

Say: "What thing is most weighty in evidence?" Say: "Allah is witness between me and you; This Qur'an hath been revealed to me by inspiration, that I may warn you and all whom it reaches. Can ye possibly bear witness that besides Allah there is another Allah?" Say: "Nay! I cannot bear witness!" Say: "But in truth He is the one Allah, and I truly am innocent of (your blasphemy of) joining others with Him."

Say "It is Allah that delivereth you from these and all (other) distresses: and yet ye worship false gods!"

No just estimate of Allah do they make when they say: "Nothing doth Allah send down to man (by way of revelation)" Say: "Who then sent down the Book which Moses brought?- a light and guidance to man: But ye make it into (separate) sheets for show, while ye conceal much (of its contents): therein were ye taught that which ye knew not- neither ye nor your fathers." Say: "Allah (sent it down)": Then leave them to plunge in vain discourse and trifling.

Are they waiting to see if the angels come to them, or thy Lord (Himself), or certain of the signs of thy Lord! the day that certain of the signs of thy Lord do come, no good will it do to a soul to believe in them then if it believed not before nor earned righteousness through its faith. Say: "Wait ye: we too are waiting."

Have they feet to walk with? Or hands to lay hold with? Or eyes to see with? Or ears to hear with? Say: "Call your 'god-partners', scheme (your worst) against me, and give me no respite!

They ask thee concerning (things taken as) spoils of war. Say: "(such) spoils are at the disposal of Allah and the Messenger: So fear Allah, and keep straight the relations between yourselves: Obey Allah and His Messenger, if ye do believe."

The Hypocrites are afraid lest a Sura should be sent down about them, showing them what is (really passing) in their hearts. Say: "Mock ye! But verily Allah will bring to light all that ye fear (should be revealed).

When We make mankind taste of some mercy after adversity hath touched them, behold! they take to plotting against Our Signs! Say: "Swifter to plan is Allah!" Verily, Our messengers record all the plots that ye make!

Say: "Of your 'partners', can any originate creation and repeat it?" Say: "It is Allah Who originates creation and repeats it: then how are ye deluded away (from the truth)?"

Say: "Of your 'partners' is there any that can give any guidance towards truth?" Say: "It is Allah Who gives guidance towards truth, is then He Who gives guidance to truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? what then is the matter with you? How judge ye?"

Say: "Behold all that is in the heavens and on earth"; but neither Signs nor Warners profit those who believe not.

Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for worship) protectors other than Him, such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with light?" Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "Allah is the Creator of all things: He is the One, the Supreme and Irresistible."

Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for worship) protectors other than Him, such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with light?" Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "Allah is the Creator of all things: He is the One, the Supreme and Irresistible."

"Or created matter which, in your minds, is hardest (to be raised up),- (Yet shall ye be raised up)!" then will they say: "Who will cause us to return?" Say: "He who created you first!" Then will they wag their heads towards thee, and say, "When will that be?" Say, "May be it will be quite soon!

Say: "Call on those - besides Him - whom ye fancy: they have neither the power to remove your troubles from you nor to change them."

They ask thee concerning the Spirit (of inspiration). Say: "The Spirit (cometh) by command of my Lord: of knowledge it is only a little that is communicated to you, (O men!)"

Say: "Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman: by whatever name ye call upon Him, (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. Neither speak thy Prayer aloud, nor speak it in a low tone, but seek a middle course between."

Say: "Allah knows best how long they stayed: with Him is (the knowledge of) the secrets of the heavens and the earth: how clearly He sees, how finely He hears (everything)! They have no protector other than Him; nor does He share His Command with any person whatsoever.

Say: Praise be to Allah, and Peace on his servants whom He has chosen (for his Message). (Who) is better?- Allah or the false gods they associate (with Him)?

And if indeed thou ask them who it is that sends down rain from the sky, and gives life therewith to the earth after its death, they will certainly reply, "Allah!" Say, "Praise be to Allah!" But most of them understand not.

If thou ask them, who it is that created the heavens and the earth. They will certainly say, "Allah". Say: "Praise be to Allah!" But most of them understand not.

Say: "Call upon other (gods) whom ye fancy, besides Allah: They have no power,- not the weight of an atom,- in the heavens or on earth: No (sort of) share have they therein, nor is any of them a helper to Allah.

Say: "Who gives you sustenance, from the heavens and the earth?" Say: "It is Allah; and certain it is that either we or ye are on right guidance or in manifest error!"

Say: "It is Allah I serve, with my sincere (and exclusive) devotion:

Say: "O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth! Knower of all that is hidden and open! it is Thou that wilt judge between Thy Servants in those matters about which they have differed."

Say: "It is Allah Who gives you life, then gives you death; then He will gather you together for the Day of Judgment about which there is no doubt": But most men do not understand.

他们问你饮酒和赌博（的律例），你说：“这两件事都包含著大罪，对於世人都有许多利益，而其罪过比利益还大。”他们问你他们应该施舍甚麽，你说：“你们施舍剩余的吧。”真主这样为你们阐明一切迹象，以便你们思维今世和後世的事务。

你说：“真主啊！国权的主啊！你要把国权赏赐谁，就赏赐谁；你要把国权从谁手中夺去，就从谁手中夺去；你要使谁尊贵，就使谁尊贵；你要使谁裨贱，就使谁裨贱；福利只由你掌握；你对于万事，确是全能的。

他们请求你解释关于女子的律例，你说：“真主将为你们解释关于她们的律例，此经中常对你们宣读的明文内，（有若干律例），有关于你们既不愿交付其应得的遗产，又不愿娶以为妻的孤女的，有关于被人欺负的儿童的，有教你们公平地照管孤儿的。无论你们所行的是什么善事，真主确是全知的。

他们请求你解释律例。你说：“真主为你们解释关于孤独人的律例。如果一个男人死了，他没有儿女，只有一个姐姐或妹妹，那末，她得他的遗产的二分之一；如果他她没有儿女，那他就继承她。如果他的继承人是两个姐姐或妹妹，那末，她们俩得遗产的三分之二；如果继承人是几个兄弟姐妹，那末， 一个男人得两个女人的份子。真主为你们阐明律例，以免你们迷误。真主是全知万物的。”

你说：“什么事物是最大的见证？”你说：“真主是我与你们之间的见证。这部《古兰经》，被启示给我，以便我用它来警告你们，和它所达到的各民族。难道你们务必要作证还有别的许多主宰与真主同等吗？”你说：“我不这样作证。”你说：“真主是独一的主宰。你们用来配主的（那些偶像），我与他们确是无关系的。”

你说：“真主拯救你们脱离这些苦难，和－切忧患。然后，你们又以物配他。”

他们对于真主没有真正的认识，当时，他们说：“真主没有把任何物降示给任何人。”你说：“谁降示了穆萨所传授的、可以做世人的光明和向导的天经呢？你们把那部天经抄录在一些散纸上，你们发表一部分，隐藏大部分。你们曾受过自己和祖先所未认识的教训。”你说：“是真主。”然后，任随他们在妄言中游戏。

他们只有等待众天神的降临，只有等待你的主（的刑罚）来临，或你的主的一部分迹象的降临。你的主的一部分迹象降临之日，凡以前未曾信道，或虽信道而未行善的人，在那日，即使信道，也无益了。你说：“你们等待吧！我们确是等待的。”

他们有脚能行呢？还是有手能擒呢？还是有眼能见呢？还是有耳能听呢？你说：“你们呼吁你们的配主，然后你们合力来谋害我，你们不用宽恕我。

他们问你战利品（应该归谁），你说：“战利品应该归真主和使者，你们应该敬畏真主，应该调停你们的纷争，应当服从真主及其使者，如果你们是信士。”

伪信的人们恐怕为他们而降示一章经，把他们的心事告诉信士们。你说：“你们嘲笑吧！真主必定要揭露你们所畏惧的事情。”

在众人遭遇灾害之后，当我使他们尝试慈恩的时候，他们忽然图谋诽谤我的迹象。你说：“真主的计谋是更迅速的。”我的使者们确是记录你们的计谋的。

你说：“你们的配主，有能创造万物，而且加以再造的吗？”你说：“真主能创造万物，而且能加以再造。你们怎么混淆黑白呢？”

你说：“你们的配主有能导人于真理的吗？”你说：“真主能导人于真理。是能导人于真理的更宜于受人顺从呢？还是须受引导才能遵循正道的，更宜于受人顺从呢？你们怎么啦？你们怎么这样判断呢？”

你说：“你们要观察天地之间的森罗万象。一切迹象和警告者，对于不信道的民众是毫无裨益的。

你说：“谁是天地的主？”你说：“真主。”你说：“难道你们舍真主而把那些不能自主祸福者当作保佑者吗？”你说，”盲人与非盲人是一样的吗？黑暗与光明是一样的吗？”他们为真主树立了许多伙伴，难道那些伙伴能像真主那样创造万物，以致他们分辨不出两种创造吗？你说：“真主是万物的创造者，他确是独一的，确是万能的。”

你说：“谁是天地的主？”你说：“真主。”你说：“难道你们舍真主而把那些不能自主祸福者当作保佑者吗？”你说，”盲人与非盲人是一样的吗？黑暗与光明是一样的吗？”他们为真主树立了许多伙伴，难道那些伙伴能像真主那样创造万物，以致他们分辨不出两种创造吗？你说：“真主是万物的创造者，他确是独一的，确是万能的。”

或你们认为更难于接受生命的什么东西。”他们将说：“谁使我们复活呢？”你说：“初次创造你们的主。”他们将对你摇头说：“这件事将在何时发出呢？”你说：“这件事或许是临近了。”

你说：“你们舍真主而称为神明者，你们祈祷他们吧！他们不能替你们消灾，也不能替你们嫁祸。

他们问你精神是什么？你说：“精神是我的主的机密。”你们只获得很少的知识。

（你说：）”你们可以称他为真主，也可以称他为至仁主。因为他有许多极优美的名号，你们无论用什么名号称呼他，（都是很好的）。”你在拜中不要高声朗诵，也不要低声默读，你应当寻求一条适中的道路。

真主是最知道他们逗留的时间的。唯有他知道天地的幽玄。他的视觉真明！他的听觉真聪！除真主外，他们绝无援助者，真主不让任何人参与他的判决。

你说：“一切赞颂，全归真主。祝他所选的众仆平安。”究竟是真主更好呢？还是他们用来配真主的更好呢？

如果你问他们：“谁从云中降下雨水？而借雨水使已死的大地复活呢？”他们必定说：“真主。”你说：“一切赞颂全归真主！”不然，他们大半是不了解的。

如果你问他们：“谁创造了天地？”他们必定说：“真主。”你说：“一切赞颂，全归真主！”不然，他们大半不知道。

你说：“你们舍真主而认作神灵的，你们祈祷他们吧：他们不能管理天地间微尘之重的事物，他们丝毫不能参与天地的造化。真主不以他们中的任何一个为助手。”

你说：“谁从天上和地下供给你们？”你说：“真主。我们或你们，是在正道上的、或是在显著的迷误中的。”

你说：“我只崇拜真主，而且诚心归顺他。

你说：“真主啊！天地的创造者啊！全知幽明者啊！你将为你的众仆而判决他们所争论的是非。”

你说：“真主使你们生，然后使你们死，然后在毫无疑义的复活日集合你们；但世人大半不知道。”
