Allah did confer a great favour on the believers when He sent among them a messenger from among themselves, rehearsing unto them the Signs of Allah, sanctifying them, and instructing them in Scripture and Wisdom, while, before that, they had been in manifest error.

With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a record clear (to those who can read).

Lo! Abraham said to his father Azar: "Takest thou idols for gods? For I see thee and thy people in manifest error."

The leaders of his people said: "Ah! we see thee evidently wandering (in mind)."

In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur'an,- and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing,- We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear record.

There is no moving creature on earth but its sustenance dependeth on Allah: He knoweth the time and place of its definite abode and its temporary deposit: All is in a clear Record.

And we sent Moses, with Our Clear (Signs) and an authority manifest,

They said: "Truly Joseph and his brother are loved more by our father than we: But we are a goodly body! really our father is obviously wandering (in his mind)!

Ladies said in the City: "The wife of the (great) 'Aziz is seeking to seduce her slave from his (true) self: Truly hath he inspired her with violent love: we see she is evidently going astray."

Their messengers said: "Is there a doubt about Allah, The Creator of the heavens and the earth? It is He Who invites you, in order that He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a term appointed!" They said: "Ah! ye are no more than human, like ourselves! Ye wish to turn us away from the (gods) our fathers used to worship: then bring us some clear authority."

A. L. R. These are the Ayats of Revelation,- of a Qur'an that makes things clear.

So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see.

How plainly will they see and hear, the Day that they will appear before Us! but the unjust today are in error manifest!

He said, "Indeed ye have been in manifest error - ye and your fathers."

Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest,

(Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?"

"'By Allah, we were truly in an error manifest,

In the perspicuous Arabic tongue.

These are verses of the Qur'an,-a book that makes (things) clear;

"I will certainly punish him with a severe penalty, or execute him, unless he bring me a clear reason (for absence)."

Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record.

Verily He Who ordained the Qur'an for thee, will bring thee back to the Place of Return. Say: "My Lord knows best who it is that brings true guidance, and who is in manifest error."

Such is the Creation of Allah: now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created: nay, but the Transgressors are in manifest error.

The Unbelievers say, "Never to us will come the Hour": Say, "Nay! but most surely, by my Lord, it will come upon you;- by Him Who knows the unseen,- from Whom is not hidden the least little atom in the heavens or on earth: Nor is there anything less than that, or greater, but is in the Record Perspicuous:

Say: "Who gives you sustenance, from the heavens and the earth?" Say: "It is Allah; and certain it is that either we or ye are on right guidance or in manifest error!"

Verily We shall give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before and that which they leave behind, and of all things have We taken account in a clear Book (of evidence).

"I would indeed, if I were to do so, be in manifest Error.

And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)?- Ye are in nothing but manifest error."

Is one whose heart Allah has opened to Islam, so that he has received Enlightenment from Allah, (no better than one hard-hearted)? Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against celebrating the praises of Allah! they are manifestly wandering (in error)!

Of old We sent Moses, with Our Signs and an authority manifest,

真主确已施恩于信士们，因为他曾在他们中派遣了一个同族的使者，对他们宣读他的迹象，并且熏陶他们，教授他们天经和智慧，以前，他们确是在明显的迷误中的。

真主那里，有幽玄的宝藏，只有他认识那些宝藏。他认识陆上和海中的一切；零落的叶子，没有一片是他不认识的，地面下重重黑暗中的谷粒，地面上一切翠绿的，和枯槁的草木，没有一样不详载在天经中。

当时，易卜拉欣对他的父亲阿宰尔说：“你把偶像当作主宰吗？据我看来，你和你的宗族，的确在明显的迷误中。”

他的宗族中的众领袖说：“我们的确认为你是在明显的迷误中的。”

无论你处理什么事物，无论你诵读《古兰经》哪一章经文，无论你们做什么工作，当你们著手的时候，我总是见证你们的。天地间微尘重的事物，都不能逃避真主的鉴察，无论比微尘小还是比微尘大，都记载在一本明显的天经中。

大地上的动物，没有一个不是由真主担负其给养的，没有一个不是真主知道其住所 和贮藏处的。一切事物都记载在一本明确的天经中。

我确已派遣穆萨带著我的许多迹象和明证去

当时，他们说：“优素福和他弟弟，在我们的父亲看来，是比我们还可爱的，而我们是一个（强壮的）团体，我们的父亲确是在明显的迷误之中。”

都城里的一些妇女说：“权贵的妻子勾引她的仆人，他迷惑了她，我们认为她确是在明显的迷误之中的。”

他们族中的使者说：“难道对于真主--天地的创造者--还有怀疑吗？他号召你们行善，以便他饶恕你们的罪过，并对你们缓刑到一个定期。”他们说：“你们只是像我们一样的凡人，你们欲阻止我们崇拜我们的祖先所崇拜的（偶像），你们昭示我们一个明证吧！”

艾列弗，俩目，拉仪。这些是天经--明白的《古兰经》的节文。

故我惩治了他们。这两个地方都在平坦的路上。

他们来见我的那日，他们的耳真聪，他们的眼真明，但不义者，今天确在明显的迷误之中。

他说：“你们和你们的祖先，确已陷于明显的迷误之中。”

然后，我派遣穆萨和他哥哥哈伦，把我的许多迹象和明证，

他说：“要是我昭示你一个明证呢？”

“指真主发誓，以前，我们确实在明显的迷误中。

以明白的阿拉伯语。

塔，辛。这些是《古兰经》--判别真伪的经典--的节文，

我必定严厉地惩罚它，或杀掉它，除非它带一个明证来给我。”

天上地下，没有一件隐微的事物，不记录在一本明白的天经中。

把《古兰经》降示给你，必使你复返故乡。你说：“我的主知道谁是昭示正道的，谁是在明显的迷误中的。”

这是真主所创造的，你们指示我吧。你们舍真主而崇拜的（偶像）究竟创造了什么呢？不然，不义的人是在明显的迷误中的。

不信道的人们说：“复活时不会来临我们。”你说：“不然。指我的主发誓，它必来临你们。我的主是全知幽玄的，天地间微尘重的重物，不能远离他；比那更小的，和更大的，无一件不记录在一本明白的经典中。”

你说：“谁从天上和地下供给你们？”你说：“真主。我们或你们，是在正道上的、或是在显著的迷误中的。”

我必定要使死人复活，我必定要记录他们所作的善恶，和他们的事迹；我将一切事物，详明地记录在一册明白的范本中。

如果那样，我确是在明显的迷误中。

如果有声音对他们说：“你们应当分舍真主所赐予你们的。”那末，不信道者将对信道者说：“真主欲供养谁就供养谁，我们何必供养他呢？你们只是在明显的迷误中。”

真主为伊斯兰而开拓其胸襟，故能接受主的光明者，难道跟胸襟狭隘的人一样吗？悲哉为记忆真主而心硬者，这等人是在明显的迷误中的。

我确已派遣穆萨带着我的迹象和明证，
