Their messengers said: "Is there a doubt about Allah, The Creator of the heavens and the earth? It is He Who invites you, in order that He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a term appointed!" They said: "Ah! ye are no more than human, like ourselves! Ye wish to turn us away from the (gods) our fathers used to worship: then bring us some clear authority."

"Thou art no more than a mortal like us: then bring us a Sign, if thou tellest the truth!"

"Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar!

The (people) said: "Ye are only men like ourselves; and (Allah) Most Gracious sends no sort of revelation: ye do nothing but lie."

他们族中的使者说：“难道对于真主--天地的创造者--还有怀疑吗？他号召你们行善，以便他饶恕你们的罪过，并对你们缓刑到一个定期。”他们说：“你们只是像我们一样的凡人，你们欲阻止我们崇拜我们的祖先所崇拜的（偶像），你们昭示我们一个明证吧！”

你只是象我们一样的凡人。你应当昭示一个迹象，如果你是诚实的。”

你只是一个象我们一样的凡人。我们的确认为你是一个说谎的。

他们说：“你们只是象我们一样的凡人。至仁主没有降示任何物，你们只是说谎的。”
