Can ye (o ye men of Faith) entertain the hope that they will believe in you?- Seeing that a party of them heard the Word of Allah, and perverted it knowingly after they understood it.

Those who listen (in truth), be sure, will accept: as to the dead, Allah will raise them up; then will they be turned unto Him.

To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear?

Many are the Jinns and men we have made for Hell: They have hearts wherewith they understand not, eyes wherewith they see not, and ears wherewith they hear not. They are like cattle,- nay more misguided: for they are heedless (of warning).

Have they feet to walk with? Or hands to lay hold with? Or eyes to see with? Or ears to hear with? Say: "Call your 'god-partners', scheme (your worst) against me, and give me no respite!

Nor be like those who say, "We hear," but listen not:

He it is That hath made you the night that ye may rest therein, and the day to make things visible (to you). Verily in this are signs for those who listen (to His Message).

And Allah sends down rain from the skies, and gives therewith life to the earth after its death: verily in this is a Sign for those who listen.

They will not there hear any vain discourse, but only salutations of Peace: And they will have therein their sustenance, morning and evening.

There, sobbing will be their lot, nor will they there hear (aught else).

Not the slightest sound will they hear of Hell: what their souls desired, in that will they dwell.

Do they not travel through the land, so that their hearts (and minds) may thus learn wisdom and their ears may thus learn to hear? Truly it is not their eyes that are blind, but their hearts which are in their breasts.

Or thinkest thou that most of them listen or understand? They are only like cattle;- nay, they are worse astray in Path.

And among His Signs is the sleep that ye take by night and by day, and the quest that ye (make for livelihood) out of His Bounty: verily in that are signs for those who hearken.

Does it not teach them a lesson, how many generations We destroyed before them, in whose dwellings they (now) go to and fro? Verily in that are Signs: Do they not then listen?

Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not.

The Day when they will hear a (mighty) Blast in (very) truth: that will be the Day of Resurrection.

Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,-

No vanity shall they hear therein, nor Untruth:-

你们还企图他们会为你们的劝化而信道吗？他们当中有一派人，曾听到真主的言语，他们既了解之後，便明知故犯地加以篡改。

只有会听话的人，响应你的号召。至于那些死人，真主将来要使他们复活，然后，把他们集合在他那里。

继先民之后而为大地的主人公的人们，假若我意欲，我必因他们的罪恶而惩治他们；并且封闭他们的心，故他们不听劝谏。难道他们不明白这个道理吗？

我确已为火狱而创造了许多精灵和人类，他们有心却不用去思维，他们有眼却不用去观察，他们有耳却不用去听闻。这等人好像牲畜一样，甚至比牲畜还要迷误。这等人是疏忽的。

他们有脚能行呢？还是有手能擒呢？还是有眼能见呢？还是有耳能听呢？你说：“你们呼吁你们的配主，然后你们合力来谋害我，你们不用宽恕我。

你们不要仿效那些人，他们说：“我们已听从了。”其实他们不听从。

他为你们创造了黑夜，以便你们在夜间安息；又创造白昼，以便你们在白天能看见东西。对于能听忠言的民众，此中确有许多迹象。

真主从云中降下雨水，并借雨水使已死的大地复活；对善于听话的民众，此中确有一种迹象。

他们在那里面，听不到闲谈，只听到祝愿平安；他们在那里面，朝夕获得给养。

他们在其中将经常叹息，他们在其中将一无所闻。

而不闻其最微的声音，他们将永居在自己所爱好的享乐中，

难道他们没有在大地上旅行，因而有心可以了解，或者有耳可以听闻吗？ 因为肉眼不盲，胸中的心眼却盲了。

难道你以为他们大半是能听从或者能了解的人吗？他们只象牲畜一样， 他们甚至是更迷误的。

他的一种迹象是：你们在黑夜和白昼睡眠并且寻求他的恩惠；对于会听话的民众，此中确有许多迹象。

难道他们还不晓得吗？在他们之前，我曾毁灭了许多世代，他们常常经过那些人的故乡，在那里确有许多迹象。他们怎么不听从呢？

可以做报喜者和警告者；但他们大半退避而不肯听从。

在他们听见包含真理的呐喊之日，那是从坟中出来之日。

他们在乐园里，听不到恶言和谎话，

他们在那里面听不到恶言和谎话。
