One day will He gather them all together, (and say): "O ye assembly of Jinns! Much (toll) did ye take of men." Their friends amongst men will say: "Our Lord! we made profit from each other: but (alas!) we reached our term - which thou didst appoint for us." He will say: "The Fire be your dwelling-place: you will dwell therein for ever, except as Allah willeth." for thy Lord is full of wisdom and knowledge.

"O ye assembly of Jinns and men! came there not unto you messengers from amongst you, setting forth unto you My signs, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of this world that deceived them. So against themselves will they bear witness that they rejected Faith.

He will say: "Enter ye in the company of the peoples who passed away before you - men and jinns, - into the Fire." Every time a new people enters, it curses its sister-people (that went before), until they follow each other, all into the Fire. Saith the last about the first: "Our Lord! it is these that misled us: so give them a double penalty in the Fire." He will say: "Doubled for all" : but this ye do not understand.

Many are the Jinns and men we have made for Hell: They have hearts wherewith they understand not, eyes wherewith they see not, and ears wherewith they hear not. They are like cattle,- nay more misguided: for they are heedless (of warning).

Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam": They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers!

And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of Jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks.

Said an 'Ifrit, of the Jinns: "I will bring it to thee before thou rise from thy council: indeed I have full strength for the purpose, and may be trusted."

And to Solomon (We made) the Wind (obedient): Its early morning (stride) was a month's (journey), and its evening (stride) was a month's (journey); and We made a Font of molten brass to flow for him; and there were Jinns that worked in front of him, by the leave of his Lord, and if any of them turned aside from our command, We made him taste of the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.

And We have destined for them intimate companions (of like nature), who made alluring to them what was before them and behind them; and the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, who have passed away, is proved against them; for they are utterly lost.

And the Unbelievers will say: "Our Lord! Show us those, among Jinns and men, who misled us: We shall crush them beneath our feet, so that they become the vilest (before all)."

Such are they against whom is proved the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, that have passed away; for they will be (utterly) lost.

Behold, We turned towards thee a company of Jinns (quietly) listening to the Qur'an: when they stood in the presence thereof, they said, "Listen in silence!" When the (reading) was finished, they returned to their people, to warn (them of their sins).

O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!

Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital!

'True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly.

我把他们完全集合之日，（或者将说）：”精灵的群众啊！你们确已诱惑许多人了。”这些人中的党羽将说：“我们的主啊！我们已互相利用，而达到你所为我们预定的期限了！”他说：“火狱是你们的归宿，你们将永居其中，除非真主意欲的时候。”你的主确是至睿的，确是全知的。

”精灵和人类的群众啊！难道你们同族中的使者没有来对你们叙述我的迹象，并警告你们将有今日的会见吗？”他们说：“我们已招认了。”尘世的生活欺骗了他们，他将招认自己原是不信道的。

真主将要说：“你们同精灵和人类中以前逝去的各民族一起进入火狱吧。”每当一个民族进火狱去，总要咒骂她的姐妹民族，直到他们统统到齐了。他们中后进的论及先进的说：“我们的主啊！这等人曾使我们迷误，求你使他们受加倍的火刑。”主说：“-个人都受加倍的火刑，但你们不知道。”

我确已为火狱而创造了许多精灵和人类，他们有心却不用去思维，他们有眼却不用去观察，他们有耳却不用去听闻。这等人好像牲畜一样，甚至比牲畜还要迷误。这等人是疏忽的。

当时我对众天神说：“你们应当向阿丹叩头。”他们都叩了头，但易卜劣厮除外。他本是精灵，所以违背他的主的命令。他和他的子孙，是你们的仇敌，你们却舍我而以他们为保护者吗？不义者的倒行逆施真恶劣！

素莱曼的大军--由精灵、人类、鸟类组成的--被召集到他面前，他们是部署整齐的。

一个强梁的精灵说：“在你离席之前，我把它拿来给你。我对于这件事确是既胜任，又忠实可靠的。”

我曾使风供素莱曼的驱使，风在上午走一月的路程，在下午也走一月的路程。我为他使熔铜象泉水样涌出。有些精灵奉主的命令在他的面前工作；谁违背了我的命令，我就使谁尝试烈火的刑罚。

我已为他们预定许多魔伴，而那些魔伴，以他们生前或死后的事情迷惑他们，他们应当受刑罚的判决，而入于以前逝去的精灵和人类的若干民族之中，而预言对他们实现，他们确是亏折者。

不信道者说：“我们的主啊！求你昭示我们那些曾使我们迷误的精灵和人类，让我们将他们踏在我们的脚下，以便他们变成最下贱的。”

这等人，应当受刑罚的判决，而入于以前逝去的精灵和人类的各民族之中；他们确是亏折的。

当时，我曾使一伙精灵，走到你面前，来静听《古兰经》。当他们来到了他面前的时候，他们说：“大家静听吧！”诵读既毕，他们就回去警告他们的宗族，

精灵和人类的群众啊！如果你们能通过天地的境界，你们就通过吧！你们必须凭据一种权柄，才能通过。

你说：“我曾奉到启示：有几个精灵已经静听，并且说：‘我们确已听见奇异的《古兰经》，

曾有一些男人，求些男精灵保护他们，因而使他们更加骄傲。
