Thus have we sent thee amongst a People before whom (long since) have (other) Peoples (gone and) passed away; in order that thou mightest rehearse unto them what We send down unto thee by inspiration; yet do they reject (Him), the Most Gracious! Say: "He is my Lord! There is no god but He! On Him is my trust, and to Him do I turn!"

But their professing the Faith when they (actually) saw Our Punishment was not going to profit them. (Such has been) Allah's Way of dealing with His Servants (from the most ancient times). And even thus did the Rejecters of Allah perish (utterly)!

And We have destined for them intimate companions (of like nature), who made alluring to them what was before them and behind them; and the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, who have passed away, is proved against them; for they are utterly lost.

真主将要说：“你们同精灵和人类中以前逝去的各民族一起进入火狱吧。”每当一个民族进火狱去，总要咒骂她的姐妹民族，直到他们统统到齐了。他们中后进的论及先进的说：“我们的主啊！这等人曾使我们迷误，求你使他们受加倍的火刑。”主说：“-个人都受加倍的火刑，但你们不知道。”

在恩惠降临之前，他们要求你早日昭示惩罚。许多惩戒处罚在他们之前确已逝去了。众人虽然不义，但你的主对于他们确是饶恕的。你的主的惩罚确是严厉的。

我这样派遣你去教化一个民族，在他们之前有许多民族确已逝去了，以便你对他们宣读我所启示你的经典，他们是不信至仁主的。你说：“他是我的主，除他之外，绝无应受崇拜的。我只信托他，我只以他为依归。”

他们不信我的教诲，其实，古人的常道已逝去了。

当他们看见我的刑罚的时候，他们的正信，对他们毫无裨益。真主以此为众仆的已逝去的常道。那时，不信道者，遭受亏折。

我已为他们预定许多魔伴，而那些魔伴，以他们生前或死后的事情迷惑他们，他们应当受刑罚的判决，而入于以前逝去的精灵和人类的若干民族之中，而预言对他们实现，他们确是亏折者。

这等人，应当受刑罚的判决，而入于以前逝去的精灵和人类的各民族之中；他们确是亏折的。

这是真主以前的常道，对于真主的常道，你绝不能发现有任何变更。
