Be not like those who are divided amongst themselves and fall into disputations after receiving Clear Signs: For them is a dreadful penalty,-

O ye who believe! Be not like the Unbelievers, who say of their brethren, when they are travelling through the Earth or engaged in fighting: "If they had stayed with us, they would not have died, or been slain." This that Allah may make it a cause of sighs and regrets in their hearts. It is Allah that gives Life and Death, and Allah sees well all that ye do.

Nor be like those who say, "We hear," but listen not:

And be not like those who started from their homes insolently and to be seen of men, and to hinder (men) from the path of Allah: For Allah compasseth round about all that they do.

As in the case of those before you: they were mightier than you in power, and more flourishing in wealth and children. They had their enjoyment of their portion: and ye have of yours, as did those before you; and ye indulge in idle talk as they did. They!- their work are fruitless in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will lose (all spiritual good).

O ye who believe! Be ye not like those who vexed and insulted Moses, but Allah cleared him of the (calumnies) they had uttered: and he was honourable in Allah's sight.

What! Do those who seek after evil ways think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe and do righteous deeds,- that equal will be their life and their death? Ill is the judgment that they make.

Has not the Time arrived for the Believers that their hearts in all humility should engage in the remembrance of Allah and of the Truth which has been revealed (to them), and that they should not become like those to whom was given Revelation aforetime, but long ages passed over them and their hearts grew hard? For many among them are rebellious transgressors.

And be ye not like those who forgot Allah; and He made them forget their own souls! Such are the rebellious transgressors!

你们不要象那样的人：在明证降临之后，自己分裂，常常争论；那等人，将受重大的刑罚。

信道的人们啊！你们不要象不信道的人一样；当他们的同胞出门病故，或阵亡前线的时候，他们说：“假若他们同我们坐在家里，那么，他们不致病故或阵亡。”（你们不要象他们那样说）以便真主以此为他们心里（所独有）的悔恨。真主能使死人复活，能使活人死亡。真主是明察他们的行为的。

你们不要仿效那些人，他们说：“我们已听从了。”其实他们不听从。

你们不要仿效那等人，他们骄傲自满地、沽名钓誉地从家乡出去，并阻止别人遵循真主的大道。真主是洞察他们的行为的。

（伪信的人们啊！你们）像你们以前逝去的民族一样，不过他们的势力比你们雄厚，财产和子嗣比你们富庶，他们曾享受他们的份儿，你们也可以享受你们的份儿，犹如在你们之前逝去的民族曾享受他们的份儿一样；你们也像他们那样去闲谈吧！这等人的善功，在今世和后世都是无效的。这等人是亏折的。

信士们啊！你们不要仿效冤诬穆萨的人们。真主已为他洗雪冤诬，据真主看来，他是有面子的。

难道作恶者以为我会使他们和信道而且行善者一样，而使他们的生死相等吗？他们的判断真恶劣！

难道信士们以为时间还未到，故他们的心不为真主的教诲和他所降示的真理而柔和吗？他们不可以象以前曾奉天经的人们那样，经过长时期后，他们的心就变硬了，他们中有许多人是犯罪的。

你们不要象那些忘却真主故真主使他们忘却自身的人们一样；这等人，确是悖逆的。
