O ye who believe! Be not like the Unbelievers, who say of their brethren, when they are travelling through the Earth or engaged in fighting: "If they had stayed with us, they would not have died, or been slain." This that Allah may make it a cause of sighs and regrets in their hearts. It is Allah that gives Life and Death, and Allah sees well all that ye do.

And there is not a thing but its (sources and) treasures (inexhaustible) are with Us; but We only send down thereof in due and ascertainable measures.

It is not your wealth nor your sons, that will bring you nearer to Us in degree: but only those who believe and work righteousness - these are the ones for whom there is a multiplied Reward for their deeds, while secure they (reside) in the dwellings on high!

"If only we had had before us a Message from those of old,

So We forgave him this (lapse): he enjoyed, indeed, a Near Approach to Us, and a beautiful place of (Final) Return.

信道的人们啊！你们不要象不信道的人一样；当他们的同胞出门病故，或阵亡前线的时候，他们说：“假若他们同我们坐在家里，那么，他们不致病故或阵亡。”（你们不要象他们那样说）以便真主以此为他们心里（所独有）的悔恨。真主能使死人复活，能使活人死亡。真主是明察他们的行为的。

每一种事物，我这里都有其仓库，我只依定数降下它。

你们的财产、你们的儿子，都不能使你们稍稍地亲近我；但信道而且行善的人们，将因他们的行为而受加倍的报酬，他们将安居于楼上。

“假若我们有古人所遗留的教诲，

我就饶了他的过失，他在我那里，的确获得宠爱和优美的归宿。
