If thou dost question them, they declare (with emphasis): "We were only talking idly and in play." Say: "Was it at Allah, and His Signs, and His Messenger, that ye were mocking?"

If indeed thou ask them who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law), they will certainly reply, "Allah". How are they then deluded away (from the truth)?

And if indeed thou ask them who it is that sends down rain from the sky, and gives life therewith to the earth after its death, they will certainly reply, "Allah!" Say, "Praise be to Allah!" But most of them understand not.

Say: "See ye then? the things that ye invoke besides Allah,- can they, if Allah wills some Penalty for me, remove His Penalty?- Or if He wills some Grace for me, can they keep back his Grace?" Say: "Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust."

If thou wert to question them, 'Who created the heavens and the earth?' They would be sure to reply, 'they were created by (Him), the Exalted in Power, Full of Knowledge';-

If thou ask them, who created them, they will certainly say, Allah: How then are they deluded away (from the Truth)?

如果你问他们：”谁创造了天地？”他们必定说：“真主。”你说：“你们告诉我吧，你们舍真主而祈祷的那些偶像，如果真主欲加害于我，他们能解除他的伤害吗？如果真主欲施恩于我，他们能扣留他的恩惠吗？”你说：“真主是使我满足的，信任者只信任真主。”

如果你问他们：”谁创造了天地？”他们必定说：“万能的、全知的主创造了天地。”

如果你问他们，谁创造他们，他们必定说：“真主。”他们是如何悖谬呢？
