If only they had stood fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course: but many of them follow a course that is evil.

(They are) those who, if We establish them in the land, establish regular prayer and give regular charity, enjoin the right and forbid wrong: with Allah rests the end (and decision) of (all) affairs.

Allah did aforetime take a covenant from the Children of Israel, and we appointed twelve captains among them. And Allah said: "I am with you: if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practise regular charity, believe in my messengers, honour and assist them, and loan to Allah a beautiful loan, verily I will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resisteth faith, he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."

The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - the which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than Allah, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. Allah chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).

"And further (thus): 'set thy face towards religion with true piety, and never in any wise be of the Unbelievers;

Establish regular prayers - at the sun's decline till the darkness of the night, and the morning prayer and reading: for the prayer and reading in the morning carry their testimony.

"O my son! establish regular prayer, enjoin what is just, and forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs.

That is the grace of Allah, which He will bestow on whom He pleaseth. And Allah encompasseth all, and He knoweth all things.

For each (such person) there are (angels) in succession, before and behind him: They guard him by command of Allah. Allah does not change a people's lot unless they change what is in their hearts. But when (once) Allah willeth a people's punishment, there can be no turning it back, nor will they find, besides Him, any to protect.

But there is no blame on you if ye put away your arms because of the inconvenience of rain or because ye are ill; but take (every) precaution for yourselves. For the Unbelievers Allah hath prepared a humiliating punishment.

When ye pass (Congregational) prayers, celebrate Allah's praises, standing, sitting down, or lying down on your sides; but when ye are free from danger, set up Regular Prayers: For such prayers are enjoined on believers at stated times.

And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector - the Best to protect and the Best to help!

Is it that ye are afraid of spending sums in charity before your private consultation (with him)? If, then, ye do not so, and Allah forgives you, then (at least) establish regular prayer; practise regular charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

So set thou thy face steadily and truly to the Faith: (establish) Allah's handiwork according to the pattern on which He has made mankind: no change (let there be) in the work (wrought) by Allah: that is the standard Religion: but most among mankind understand not.

But set thou thy face to the right Religion before there come from Allah the Day which there is no chance of averting: on that Day shall men be divided (in two).

Allah said: "Accepted is your prayer (O Moses and Aaron)! So stand ye straight, and follow not the path of those who know not."

How can there be a league, before Allah and His Messenger, with the Pagans, except those with whom ye made a treaty near the sacred Mosque? As long as these stand true to you, stand ye true to them: for Allah doth love the righteous.

Say thou: "I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your Allah is one Allah: so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness." And woe to those who join gods with Allah,-

"Who has, out of His Bounty, settled us in a Home that will last: no toil nor sense of weariness shall touch us therein."

He said: "Because thou hast thrown me out of the way, lo! I will lie in wait for them on thy straight way:

他已为你们制定正教，就是他所命令努哈的、他所启示你的、他命令易卜拉欣、穆萨和尔撒的宗教。你们应当谨守正教，不要为正教而分门别户。以物配主的人们，以为你所教导他们的事是难堪的。真主将他所意欲者招致于正教，将归依他者引导于真理。

并（奉命说）：”你应当趋向正教，你切莫做一个以物配主的人，

你应当谨守从晨时到黑夜的拜功；并应当谨守早晨的拜功，早晨的拜功确是被参加的。

我的小子啊！你应当谨守拜功，应当劝善戒恶，应当忍受患难，这确是应该决心做的事情。

这部《古兰经》必引导人于至正之道，并预告行善的信士，他们将要享受最大的报酬。

每个人的前面和后面，都有许多接踵而来的天神，他们奉真主的命令来监护他。真主必定不变更任何民众的情况，直到他们变更自己的情况。当真主欲降灾害于任何民众的时候，那灾害是不可抗拒的。除真主外，他们绝无保佑者。

当你在他们之间，而你欲带领他们礼拜的时候，教他们中的一队人同你立正，并教他们携带武器。当他们礼拜的时候，叫另一队人防守在你们后面；然后，教还没有礼拜的那一队人来同你礼拜，教他们也要谨慎戒备，并携带武器。不信道的人，希望你们忽视你们的武器和物资，而乘机袭击你们。如果你们为雨水或疾病而感觉烦难，那末，放下武器对于你们是无罪的。你们当谨慎戒备。真主确已为不信道的人而预备凌辱的刑罚。

当你们完成拜功的时候，你们当站着、坐着、躺着记念真主。当你们安宁的时候，你们当谨守拜功。拜功对于信士，确是定时的义务。

你们应当为真主而真实地奋斗。他拣选你们，关于宗教的事，他未曾以任何烦难为你们的义务，你们应当遵循你们的祖先易卜拉欣的宗教，以前真主称你们为穆斯林，在这部经典里他也称你们为穆斯林，以便使者为你们作证，而你们为世人作证。你们当谨守拜功，完纳天课，信托真主；他是你们的主宰，主宰真好！助者真好！

难道你们怕在密谈之前有所施舍吗？你们没有施舍，而真主已赦宥你们，故你们应当谨守拜功、完纳天课、服从真主和使者。真主是全知你们的行为的。

你应当趋向正教，（并谨守）真主所赋予人的本性。真主所创造的，是不容变更的；这才是正教，但人们大半不知道。

在不可抗拒的日子从真主来临以前，你应当趋向正教，在那日，他们将彼此分离。

主说：“你们俩的祈祷确已被应承了，故你们俩应当继续传道，你们俩不要遵循无知者的道路。”

在真主及其使者看来，以物配主者怎么会有盟约呢？但在禁寺附近与你们缔结盟约的人，在他们为你们遵守盟约的期间，你们当为他们遵守盟约。真主确是喜爱敬畏者的。

你说：“我跟你们一样，只是一个凡人，我奉到启示：“你们所应当崇拜的，只是独一的主宰。所以你们应当遵循正路而趋向他，应当向他求饶。”伤哉以物配主者！

你应当按照天命而遵循正路，与你一起悔过的人，也当遵循正路。你们不要过分，他确是明察你们的行为的。

他使我们居住在常住的房屋中，那是出于他的恩惠。我们在里面，毫不辛苦，毫不疲倦。”

求你引领我们正路，

他说：“由于你使我迷误，我必定在你的正路上伺候他们。
