O ye who believe! When ye deal with each other, in transactions involving future obligations in a fixed period of time, reduce them to writing Let a scribe write down faithfully as between the parties: let not the scribe refuse to write: as Allah Has taught him, so let him write. Let him who incurs the liability dictate, but let him fear His Lord Allah, and not diminish aught of what he owes. If they party liable is mentally deficient, or weak, or unable Himself to dictate, Let his guardian dictate faithfully, and get two witnesses, out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as ye choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her. The witnesses should not refuse when they are called on (For evidence). Disdain not to reduce to writing (your contract) for a future period, whether it be small or big: it is juster in the sight of Allah, More suitable as evidence, and more convenient to prevent doubts among yourselves but if it be a transaction which ye carry out on the spot among yourselves, there is no blame on you if ye reduce it not to writing. But take witness whenever ye make a commercial contract; and let neither scribe nor witness suffer harm. If ye do (such harm), it would be wickedness in you. So fear Allah; For it is Good that teaches you. And Allah is well acquainted with all things. If ye are on a journey, and cannot find a scribe, a pledge with possession (may serve the purpose). And if one of you deposits a thing on trust with another, let the trustee (faithfully) discharge his trust, and let him Fear his Lord conceal not evidence; for whoever conceals it, - his heart is tainted with sin. And Allah knoweth all that ye do.

To orphans restore their property (When they reach their age), nor substitute (your) worthless things for (their) good ones; and devour not their substance (by mixing it up) with your won. For this is indeed a great sin.

Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).

They said: "O exalted one! Behold! he has a father, aged and venerable, (who will grieve for him); so take one of us in his place; for we see that thou art (gracious) in doing good."

And We gave (Clear) Warning to the Children of Israel in the Book, that twice would they do mischief on the earth and be elated with mighty arrogance (and twice would they be punished)!

Verily this Qur'an doth guide to that which is most right (or stable), and giveth the Glad Tidings to the Believers who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a magnificent reward;

Kill not your children for fear of want: We shall provide sustenance for them as well as for you. Verily the killing of them is a great sin.

Glory to Him! He is high above all that they say!- Exalted and Great (beyond measure)!

Behold! We told thee that thy Lord doth encompass mankind round about: We granted the vision which We showed thee, but as a trial for men,- as also the Cursed Tree (mentioned) in the Qur'an: We put terror (and warning) into them, but it only increases their inordinate transgression!

Except for Mercy from thy Lord: for his bounty is to thee (indeed) great.

So he broke them to pieces, (all) but the biggest of them, that they might turn (and address themselves) to it.

(Allah will say): "Now have they proved you liars in what ye say: so ye cannot avert (your penalty) nor (get) help." And whoever among you does wrong, him shall We cause to taste of a grievous Penalty.

Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety!

Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an).

Then give the Glad Tidings to the Believers, that they shall have from Allah a very great Bounty.

"Our Lord! Give them double Penalty and curse them with a very great Curse!"

And when thou lookest, it is there thou wilt see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificent.

信道的人们啊！你们彼此间成立定期借贷的时候，你们应当写一张借券，请一个会写字的人，秉公代写。代书人不得拒绝，当遵照真主所教他的方法而书写。由债务者口授，（他口授时），当敬畏真主──他的主──不要减少债额一丝毫。如果债务者是愚蠢的，或老弱的，或不能亲自口授的，那末，叫他的监护人秉公地替他口授。你们当从你们的男人中邀请两个人作证；如果没有两个男人，那末，从你们所认可的证人中请一个男人和两个女人作证。这个女人遗忘的时候，那个女人可以提醒她。证人被邀请的时候，不得拒绝。无论债额多寡，不可厌烦，都要写在借券上，并写明偿还的日期。在真主看来，这是最公平的，最易作证的，最可祛疑的。但你们彼此间的现款交易，虽不写买卖契约，对於你们是毫无罪过的。你们成立商业契约的时候，宜请证人，对代书者和作证者，不得加以妨害；否则，就是你们犯罪。你们应当敬畏真主，真主教诲你们，真主是全知万物的。

你们应当把孤儿的财产交还他们，不要以（你们的）恶劣的（财产），换取（他们的）佳美的（财产），也不要把他们的财产并入你们的财产，而加以吞蚀。 这确是大罪。

男人是维护妇女的，因为真主使他们比她们更优越，又因为他们所费的财产。贤淑的女子是服从的，是借真主的保佑而保守隐微的。你们怕她们执拗的妇女，你们可以劝戒她们，可以和她们同床异被，可以打她们。如果她们服从你们，那末，你们不要再想法欺负她们。真主确是至尊的，确是至大的。

他们说：“权贵啊！他的确有一位龙钟的老父；请你以我们中的一人代替他当奴仆吧。我们的确认为你是行善的。”

我曾在经典里启示对以色列的后裔判决说：“你们必定要在大地上两次作乱，你们必定很傲慢。”

这部《古兰经》必引导人于至正之道，并预告行善的信士，他们将要享受最大的报酬。

你们不要因为怕贫穷而杀害自己的儿女，我供给他们和你们。杀害他们确是大罪。

赞颂真主，超绝万物，他绝然超乎他们所说的！

当时我曾对你说：“你的主是周知众人的。我所昭示你的梦兆和在《古兰经》里被诅咒的那棵树，我只以这两件事物考验众人，并加以恫吓，但我的恫吓只使他们更加蛮横。”

但我为从你的主发出的恩惠（才保存它），你的主所施于你的恩惠是重大的。

他把偶像打碎了，只留下一个最大的，以便他们转回来问他。

主说：“他们确已否认你们所说的话，你们不能逃避刑罚，也不能自助。你们中谁是不义的，我要使谁尝试严峻的刑罚。

不希望与我相会者曾说：“怎么不使众天神降临我们，或者得见我们的主呢？”他们确已妄自尊大，确已大逆不道。

所以你不要顺从不信道者，你应当借此《古兰经》而与他们努力奋斗。

你应当向信士们报喜，他们将获得真主降下的宏恩。

我们的主啊！求你用加倍的刑罚处治他们，求你严厉地弃绝他们。”

当你观看那里的时候，你会看见恩泽和大国。
