They will say: "Ah! Woe unto us! Who hath raised us up from our beds of repose?"... (A voice will say:) "This is what (Allah) Most Gracious had promised. And true was the word of the messengers!"

That it may give admonition to any (who are) alive, and that the charge may be proved against those who reject (Truth).

And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (origin and) Creation: He says, "Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?"

Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness.

Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay!

They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!"

Is it not to Allah that sincere devotion is due? But those who take for protectors other than Allah (say): "We only serve them in order that they may bring us nearer to Allah." Truly Allah will judge between them in that wherein they differ. But Allah guides not such as are false and ungrateful.

Is, then, one against whom the decree of Punishment is justly due (equal to one who eschews Evil)? Wouldst thou, then, deliver one (who is) in the Fire?

Allah has revealed (from time to time) the most beautiful Message in the form of a Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah's praises. Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide.

If indeed thou ask them who it is that created the heavens and the earth, they would be sure to say, "Allah". Say: "See ye then? the things that ye invoke besides Allah,- can they, if Allah wills some Penalty for me, remove His Penalty?- Or if He wills some Grace for me, can they keep back his Grace?" Say: "Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust."

Now the 'Ad behaved arrogantly through the land, against (all) truth and reason, and said: "Who is superior to us in strength?" What! did they not see that Allah, Who created them, was superior to them in strength? But they continued to reject Our Signs!

Those who pervert the Truth in Our Signs are not hidden from Us. Which is better?- he that is cast into the Fire, or he that comes safe through, on the Day of Judgment? Do what ye will: verily He seeth (clearly) all that ye do.

Whoever works righteousness benefits his own soul; whoever works evil, it is against his own soul: nor is thy Lord ever unjust (in the least) to His Servants.

如果有声音对他们说：“你们应当分舍真主所赐予你们的。”那末，不信道者将对信道者说：“真主欲供养谁就供养谁，我们何必供养他呢？你们只是在明显的迷误中。”

他们将说：“伤哉我们！谁将我们从我们的卧处唤醒？这是至仁主所应许我们的，使者们已说实话了。”

以便他警告活人，以便不信道的人们当受刑罚的判决。

他为我设了一个譬喻，而他忘却了我曾创造他。他说：“谁能使朽骨复活呢？”

但窃听一次的，灿烂的流星就追赶上他。

真的，应受诚笃的顺服者，只有真主。舍真主而以偶像为保护者的人说：“我们崇拜他们，只为他们能使我们亲近真主。”真主将判决他们所争论的是非。真主必定不引导说谎者、孤恩者。

应当受刑罚的判决者，（必入火狱），难道你还想拯救他吗？

真主曾降示最美的训辞，就是前后一律、反复叮咛的经典；畏惧主的人，为他而战栗，然后，为记忆真主而安静。那是真主的正道，他用来引导他所意欲引导者，真主使谁迷误，谁就没有向导。

如果你问他们：”谁创造了天地？”他们必定说：“真主。”你说：“你们告诉我吧，你们舍真主而祈祷的那些偶像，如果真主欲加害于我，他们能解除他的伤害吗？如果真主欲施恩于我，他们能扣留他的恩惠吗？”你说：“真主是使我满足的，信任者只信任真主。”

凌辱的刑罚将降于谁，永恒的刑罚将加于谁！”

以前，优素福确已将许多明证昭示你们，但你们对他所昭示你们的明证，依然在疑惑中，直到他死去的时候，你们还说：‘在他之后，真主绝不会再派遣任何使者了。'真主这样使过分的怀疑者迷误。”

作恶者只受同样的恶报；行善而且信道的男子和女子，将入乐园，受无量的供给。

他创造了你们，先用泥土，继用精液，继用血块，然后使你们出生为婴儿，然后让你们成年，然后让你们变成老人--你们中有夭折的--然后，让你们活到一个定期，以便你们明理。

在你之前，我确已派遣许多使者，他们中有我已告诉你的，有我未告诉你的。任何使者，不应昭示迹象，除非获得真主的许可。当真主的命令来临的时候，众生将依真理而被判决；那时，反对真理的人将遭亏折。

至于阿德人，他们不该在地方上妄自尊大，他们说：“谁比我们能力更强大呢？”难道他们不知道创造他们的真主比他们更强大吗？他们否认了我的许多迹象，

曲解我的迹象者，必不能隐匿起来，不让我看见他们。是在复活日被投入火狱者好呢？还是在复活日安全者好呢？你们要做什么，就随便做什么吧！他确是明察你们的行为的。

行善者自受其益，作恶者自受其害。你的主绝不会亏枉众仆的。
