In what your wives leave, your share is a half, if they leave no child; but if they leave a child, ye get a fourth; after payment of legacies and debts. In what ye leave, their share is a fourth, if ye leave no child; but if ye leave a child, they get an eighth; after payment of legacies and debts. If the man or woman whose inheritance is in question, has left neither ascendants nor descendants, but has left a brother or a sister, each one of the two gets a sixth; but if more than two, they share in a third; after payment of legacies and debts; so that no loss is caused (to any one). Thus is it ordained by Allah; and Allah is All-knowing, Most Forbearing.

And his people came rushing towards him, and they had been long in the habit of practising abominations. He said: "O my people! Here are my daughters: they are purer for you (if ye marry)! Now fear Allah, and cover me not with shame about my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?"

(And some said): "He is only a man possessed: wait (and have patience) with him for a time."

"He is only a man who invents a lie against Allah, but we are not the ones to believe in him!"

And there came a man, running, from the furthest end of the City. He said: "O Moses! the Chiefs are taking counsel together about thee, to slay thee: so get thee away, for I do give thee sincere advice."

When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, they say, "This is only a man who wishes to hinder you from the (worship) which your fathers practised." And they say, "This is only a falsehood invented!" and the Unbelievers say of the Truth when it comes to them, "This is nothing but evident magic!"

Then there came running, from the farthest part of the City, a man, saying, "O my people! Obey the messengers:

A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said: "Will ye slay a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah'?- when he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him is (the sin of) his lie: but, if he is telling the Truth, then will fall on you something of the (calamity) of which he warns you: Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies!

如果你们的妻室没有子女，那末，你们得受她们的遗产的二分之一。如果她们有子女，那末，你们得受她们的遗产的四分之一。（这种分配）须在交付亡人所嘱的遗赠或清偿亡人所欠的债务之后。如果你们没有子女，那末，你们的妻室得你们遗产的四分之一。如果你们有子女，那末，她们得你们遗产的八分之一。（这种分配），须在交付亡人所嘱的遗赠或清偿亡人所欠的债务之后。如果被继承的男子或女子，上无父母，下无子女，只有（同母异父的）更多的兄弟和姐妹，那末，他们和她们，均分遗产的三分之一。（这种分配），须在交付亡人所嘱的遗赠或清偿亡人所欠的债务之后，但留遗嘱的时候，不得妨害继承人的权利。 这是从真主发出的命令。真主是全知的，是至容的。

他的宗族仓猝地到他的家里来，他们向来是作恶的。他说：“我的宗族啊！这些是我的女儿，她们对于你们是更纯洁的。你们应当敬畏真主，你们对于我的客人们不要使我丢脸。难道你们当中没有一个精神健全的人吗？”

他只是一个疯子，故你们应当等待他一个时期。”

他只是一个人假借真主的名义而造谣，我们绝不信他！”

有一个人，从城的极远处忙来说：“穆萨啊！臣仆们的确正在商议要杀你，你快出走吧。我确是忠于你的。”

有人对他们宣读我的明白的迹象时，他们说：“这个人只想妨碍你们崇拜你们的祖先所崇拜的偶像。”他们又说：“这只是捏造的谎言。”当真理来临的时候，不信道的人们说：“这只是一种明显的魔术。”

有一个人从城中最远的地方跑来说：“我的宗族呀！你们应当顺从使者们，

法老族中一个秘密归信的信士说：“一个人把从你们的主发出的明证昭示你们，并说'我的主是真主'，你们就要杀戮他吗？如果他是一个说谎者，那末，他自受谎言之害；如果他是一个诚实者，那末，他所用以恫吓你们的灾难，将有一部分来临你们，真主必定不引导过分的常说谎言者。
