Or do ye think that ye shall enter the Garden (of bliss) without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? they encountered suffering and adversity, and were so shaken in spirit that even the Messenger and those of faith who were with him cried: "When (will come) the help of Allah?" Ah! Verily, the help of Allah is (always) near!

It is not (possible) that a man, to whom is given the Book, and Wisdom, and the prophetic office, should say to people: "Be ye my worshippers rather than Allah's": on the contrary (He would say) "Be ye worshippers of Him Who is truly the Cherisher of all: For ye have taught the Book and ye have studied it earnestly."

Verily, when He intends a thing, His Command is, "be", and it is!

A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said: "Will ye slay a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah'?- when he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him is (the sin of) his lie: but, if he is telling the Truth, then will fall on you something of the (calamity) of which he warns you: Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies!

你们还没有遭遇前人所遭遇的患难，就猜想自己得入乐园了吗？前人曾遭受穷困和患难，曾受震惊，甚至使者和信道的人都说：“真主的援助甚麽时候降临呢？”真的，真主的援助，确是临近的。

一个人既蒙真主赏赐经典，智慧和预言，他不至对世人说：“你们做我的奴仆，不要做真主的奴仆。”但（他必说）：“你们当做崇拜造物主的人，因为你们教授天经，诵习天经。”

当他欲造化任何事物的时候，他的事情只是说声：”有”，它就有了。

法老族中一个秘密归信的信士说：“一个人把从你们的主发出的明证昭示你们，并说'我的主是真主'，你们就要杀戮他吗？如果他是一个说谎者，那末，他自受谎言之害；如果他是一个诚实者，那末，他所用以恫吓你们的灾难，将有一部分来临你们，真主必定不引导过分的常说谎言者。
