Or do ye think that ye shall enter the Garden (of bliss) without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? they encountered suffering and adversity, and were so shaken in spirit that even the Messenger and those of faith who were with him cried: "When (will come) the help of Allah?" Ah! Verily, the help of Allah is (always) near!

Did ye think that ye would enter Heaven without Allah testing those of you who fought hard (In His Cause) and remained steadfast?

Or think ye that ye shall be abandoned, as though Allah did not know those among you who strive with might and main, and take none for friends and protectors except Allah, His Messenger, and the (community of) Believers? But Allah is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do.

你们还没有遭遇前人所遭遇的患难，就猜想自己得入乐园了吗？前人曾遭受穷困和患难，曾受震惊，甚至使者和信道的人都说：“真主的援助甚麽时候降临呢？”真的，真主的援助，确是临近的。

真主还没有甄别你们中奋斗的人和坚忍的人，难道你们就以为自己得入乐园吗？

真主还没有认识你们中那些人是为主道而奋斗，并且未舍真主及其使者和信士们而以他人为心腹的人，难道你们就以为自己得自由自在的（不受考验了）吗？真主是熟悉你们的行为的。
