If We had made it an angel, We should have sent him as a man, and We should certainly have caused them confusion in a matter which they have already covered with confusion.

And Moses chose seventy of his people for Our place of meeting: when they were seized with violent quaking, he prayed: "O my Lord! if it had been Thy will Thou couldst have destroyed, long before, both them and me: wouldst Thou destroy us for the deeds of the foolish ones among us? this is no more than Thy trial: by it Thou causest whom Thou wilt to stray, and Thou leadest whom Thou wilt into the right path. Thou art our Protector: so forgive us and give us Thy mercy; for Thou art the best of those who forgive.

We know best why it is they listen, when they listen to thee; and when they meet in private conference, behold, the wicked say, "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched!"

His companion said to him, in the course of the argument with him: "Dost thou deny Him Who created thee out of dust, then out of a sperm-drop, then fashioned thee into a man?

"Or (Why) has not a treasure been bestowed on him, or why has he (not) a garden for enjoyment?" The wicked say: "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched."

Allah puts forth a Parable a man belonging to many partners at variance with each other, and a man belonging entirely to one master: are those two equal in comparison? Praise be to Allah! but most of them have no knowledge.

A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said: "Will ye slay a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah'?- when he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him is (the sin of) his lie: but, if he is telling the Truth, then will fall on you something of the (calamity) of which he warns you: Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies!

假若我降下一个天神，我必使他变成一个人样，我必使他们陷于自己所作的蒙蔽之中。

穆萨从他的宗族中拣选了七十个人来赴我的约会；当他们为地震所袭击的时候，他说：“我的主啊！假若你意欲，那末，以前你早已毁灭他们和我。难道你要为我们中的愚人的行为而毁灭我们吗？这只是你的考验，你借此使你意欲者误入歧途，使你意欲者走上正道。你是我们的保护者，故求你饶恕我们，慈悯我们。你是最善的饶恕者。

我最知道他们为何要倾听你诵经，当时他们来倾听你诵经，并且秘密地谈话。当时不义者们说：“你们只是顺从一个中了魔术的人。”

他的朋友以辩驳的态度对他说：“你不信造物主吗？他创造你，先用泥土，继用精液，然后使你变成一个完整的男子。

或者把一个财宝赏赐他，或者他有一座果园，供他食用呢？”不义者说：“你们只顺从一个被蛊惑者。”

真主设一个譬喻：一个奴隶为许多纷争的伙计所共有；又有一个奴隶专归一个主人；这两个奴隶的情状相等吗？一切赞颂，全归真主！不然，他们大半不知道。

法老族中一个秘密归信的信士说：“一个人把从你们的主发出的明证昭示你们，并说'我的主是真主'，你们就要杀戮他吗？如果他是一个说谎者，那末，他自受谎言之害；如果他是一个诚实者，那末，他所用以恫吓你们的灾难，将有一部分来临你们，真主必定不引导过分的常说谎言者。
