If We had made it an angel, We should have sent him as a man, and We should certainly have caused them confusion in a matter which they have already covered with confusion.

As to those who have rejected (Allah), and would keep back (men) from the Way of Allah, and from the Sacred Mosque, which We have made (open) to (all) men - equal is the dweller there and the visitor from the country - and any whose purpose therein is profanity or wrong-doing - them will We cause to taste of a most Grievous Penalty.

Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed;

Had We sent this as a Qur'an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses explained in detail? What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab?" Say: "It is a Guide and a Healing to those who believe; and for those who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears, and it is blindness in their (eyes): They are (as it were) being called from a place far distant!"

And thus have We, by Our Command, sent inspiration to thee: thou knewest not (before) what was Revelation, and what was Faith; but We have made the (Qur'an) a Light, wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou dost guide (men) to the Straight Way,-

We have made it a Qur'an in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand (and learn wisdom).

Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks?

假若我降下一个天神，我必使他变成一个人样，我必使他们陷于自己所作的蒙蔽之中。

不信道而且妨碍主道， 并且妨碍我使众人--定居的和游牧的--共同尊敬禁寺者，（我将使他稍稍尝试痛苦的刑罚）；谁因不义而欲在禁寺中违背正道，我将使谁稍稍尝试痛苦的刑罚。

然后，我使他变成精液，在坚固的容器中的精液，

假若我降示一部外国语的《古兰经》，他们必定会说：“怎么不解释其中的节文呢？一部外国语的经典和一个阿拉伯的先知吗？”你说：“它是信道者的向导和药方；不信道者听而不闻，视而不见，因为这些人是从远处被喊叫的。”

我这样启示你从我的命令中发出的精神。你本来不知道天经是什么，正信是什么；但我以天经为光明，而借此光明引导我所欲引导的仆人。你确是指示正路者。

我确已以此为阿拉伯文的《古兰经》，以便你们了解。

假若我意欲，我必使它变成苦的，你们怎么不感谢呢？
