In what your wives leave, your share is a half, if they leave no child; but if they leave a child, ye get a fourth; after payment of legacies and debts. In what ye leave, their share is a fourth, if ye leave no child; but if ye leave a child, they get an eighth; after payment of legacies and debts. If the man or woman whose inheritance is in question, has left neither ascendants nor descendants, but has left a brother or a sister, each one of the two gets a sixth; but if more than two, they share in a third; after payment of legacies and debts; so that no loss is caused (to any one). Thus is it ordained by Allah; and Allah is All-knowing, Most Forbearing.

"And behold! ye come to us bare and alone as We created you for the first time: ye have left behind you all (the favours) which We bestowed on you: We see not with you your intercessors whom ye thought to be partners in your affairs: so now all relations between you have been cut off, and your (pet) fancies have left you in the lurch!"

They say: "What is in the wombs of such and such cattle is specially reserved (for food) for our men, and forbidden to our women; but if it is still-born, then all have share therein. For their (false) attribution (of superstitions to Allah), He will soon punish them: for He is full of wisdom and knowledge.

Allah puts forth a Parable a man belonging to many partners at variance with each other, and a man belonging entirely to one master: are those two equal in comparison? Praise be to Allah! but most of them have no knowledge.

What! have they partners (in godhead), who have established for them some religion without the permission of Allah? Had it not been for the Decree of Judgment, the matter would have been decided between them (at once). But verily the Wrong-doers will have a grievous Penalty.

Or have they some "Partners" (in Allahhead)? Then let them produce their "partners", if they are truthful!

如果你们的妻室没有子女，那末，你们得受她们的遗产的二分之一。如果她们有子女，那末，你们得受她们的遗产的四分之一。（这种分配）须在交付亡人所嘱的遗赠或清偿亡人所欠的债务之后。如果你们没有子女，那末，你们的妻室得你们遗产的四分之一。如果你们有子女，那末，她们得你们遗产的八分之一。（这种分配），须在交付亡人所嘱的遗赠或清偿亡人所欠的债务之后。如果被继承的男子或女子，上无父母，下无子女，只有（同母异父的）更多的兄弟和姐妹，那末，他们和她们，均分遗产的三分之一。（这种分配），须在交付亡人所嘱的遗赠或清偿亡人所欠的债务之后，但留遗嘱的时候，不得妨害继承人的权利。 这是从真主发出的命令。真主是全知的，是至容的。

你们确已孤孤单单地来见我，犹如我初次创造你们的时候一样。你们把我所赏赐你们的，抛弃在背后，你们妄称为真主的伙伴的，我不见他们同你们一道来替你们说情；你们的关系，确已断绝；你们所妄言的事，确已回避你们了。

他们说：“这些牲畜所怀的胎儿，是专归我们男人的，对于我们的妻子是禁物。”如果那胎儿生下来是死的，他们就共同吃它。真主要为他们捏造谣言而报酬他们。他确是至睿的，确是全知的。

真主设一个譬喻：一个奴隶为许多纷争的伙计所共有；又有一个奴隶专归一个主人；这两个奴隶的情状相等吗？一切赞颂，全归真主！不然，他们大半不知道。

难道他们有许多配主，曾为他们制定真主所未许可的宗教吗？假若没有那判辞，他们必受判决，不义的人们，必受痛苦的刑罚。

难道他们有许多配主吗？教他们把那些配主召唤来，如果他们是诚实的人。
