On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."

And Moses chose seventy of his people for Our place of meeting: when they were seized with violent quaking, he prayed: "O my Lord! if it had been Thy will Thou couldst have destroyed, long before, both them and me: wouldst Thou destroy us for the deeds of the foolish ones among us? this is no more than Thy trial: by it Thou causest whom Thou wilt to stray, and Thou leadest whom Thou wilt into the right path. Thou art our Protector: so forgive us and give us Thy mercy; for Thou art the best of those who forgive.

"A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!"

真主只依各人的能力而加以责成。各人要享受自己所行善功的奖赏，要遭遇自己所作罪恶的惩罚。”我们的主啊！求你不要惩罚我们，如果我们遗忘或错误。求你不要使我们荷负重担，犹如你使古人荷负它一样。我们的主啊！求你不要使我们担负我们所不能胜任的。求你恕饶我们，求你赦宥我们，求你怜悯我们。你是我们的保佑者，求你援助我们，以对抗不信道的民众。”

穆萨从他的宗族中拣选了七十个人来赴我的约会；当他们为地震所袭击的时候，他说：“我的主啊！假若你意欲，那末，以前你早已毁灭他们和我。难道你要为我们中的愚人的行为而毁灭我们吗？这只是你的考验，你借此使你意欲者误入歧途，使你意欲者走上正道。你是我们的保护者，故求你饶恕我们，慈悯我们。你是最善的饶恕者。

从前，我的仆人中有一派人常说：“我们的主啊！我们已信道了，求你饶恕我们，求你怜悯我们，你是最怜悯的。”
