the people
(are) some who
say,
`We believed
in Allah
and in the Day
[the] Last,`
but not
they
(are) believers (at all).
And they said,
`Whatever
you bring us
therewith
of
(the) sign
so that you bewitch us
with it,
then not
we
(will be) in you
believers.`
They said,
`Have you come to us
to turn us away
from that
we found
on it
our forefathers,
and you two (may) have
the greatness
in
the land?
Are we (are) not
(in) you two
believers.`
They said,
`O Hud!
You have not brought us
clear proofs,
and not
we
(will) leave
our gods
on
your saying,
and not
we (are)
in you
believers.
And not
most
(of) the mankind,
although
you desire,
(are) believers.
Not
(is) he
but
a man
who (has) invented
about
Allah
a lie,
and not
we
(in) him
(are) believers.`
Of the people there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day;" but they do not (really) believe.
They said (to Moses): "Whatever be the Signs thou bringest, to work therewith thy sorcery on us, we shall never believe in thee.
They said: "Hast thou come to us to turn us away from the ways we found our fathers following,- in order that thou and thy brother may have greatness in the land? But not we shall believe in you!"
They said: "O Hud! No Clear (Sign) that hast thou brought us, and we are not the ones to desert our gods on thy word! Nor shall we believe in thee!
Yet no faith will the greater part of mankind have, however ardently thou dost desire it.
"He is only a man who invents a lie against Allah, but we are not the ones to believe in him!"
有些人说：“我们已信真主和末日了。”其实，他们绝不是信士。
他们说：“无论你拿什么迹象来迷惑我们，我们绝不信仰你。”
他们说：“你到我们这里来，想使我们抛奔我们的祖先的宗教，而让你们俩称尊于国中吗？我们绝不会归信你们的。”
他们说：“呼德啊！你没有昭示我们任何明证，我们绝不为你的言论而抛弃我们的神灵，我们并不归信你。
你虽然切望世人信道，但他们大半是不信道的。
他只是一个人假借真主的名义而造谣，我们绝不信他！”
