Do they just wait for the final fulfilment of the event? On the day the event is finally fulfilled, those who disregarded it before will say: "The messengers of our Lord did indeed bring true (tidings). Have we no intercessors now to intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back? then should we behave differently from our behaviour in the past." In fact they will have lost their souls, and the things they invented will leave them in the lurch.

"(Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of wrong-doing to their own souls." Then would they offer submission (with the pretence), "We did no evil (knowingly)." (The angels will reply), "Nay, but verily Allah knoweth all that ye did;

Therein will they cry aloud (for assistance): "Our Lord! Bring us out: we shall work righteousness, not the (deeds) we used to do!" - "Did We not give you long enough life so that he that would should receive admonition? and (moreover) the warner came to you. So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds): for the wrong-doers there is no helper."

他们只等待那部经典的效果，他的效果到来的日子，从前忘记这经典的人将会说：“我们的主的众使者，确已昭示真理了！我们有几位说情的人来替我们说情，或准我们返回尘世去，舍罪恶而立善功吗？”他们确已亏折了自身，他们所捏造的事已回避他们了。

他们在自亏的情况下，天神们使他们死亡。他们表示屈服，说：“我们没有犯过什么罪恶。”不然！真主确是全知你们的行为的。

他们在里面求救说：“我们的主啊！求你放我们出去，我们将改过迁善。”难道我没有延长你们的寿数，使能觉悟者有觉悟的时间吗？警告者已降临你们了。你们尝试刑罚吧，不义者绝没有任何援助者。
