He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding.

There will then be (left) no subterfuge for them but to say: "By Allah our Lord, we were not those who joined gods with Allah."

If thou couldst but see when they are confronted with the Fire! They will say: "Would that we were but sent back! Then would we not reject the signs of our Lord, but would be amongst those who believe!"

And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury;- beneath them will be rivers flowing;- and they shall say: "Praise be to Allah, who hath guided us to this (felicity): never could we have found guidance, had it not been for the guidance of Allah: indeed it was the truth, that the messengers of our Lord brought unto us." And they shall hear the cry: "Behold! the garden before you! Ye have been made its inheritors, for your deeds (of righteousness)."

Do they just wait for the final fulfilment of the event? On the day the event is finally fulfilled, those who disregarded it before will say: "The messengers of our Lord did indeed bring true (tidings). Have we no intercessors now to intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back? then should we behave differently from our behaviour in the past." In fact they will have lost their souls, and the things they invented will leave them in the lurch.

They said: "For us, We are but sent back unto our Lord:

"But thou dost wreak thy vengeance on us simply because we believed in the Signs of our Lord when they reached us! Our Lord! pour out on us patience and constancy, and take our souls unto thee as Muslims (who bow to thy will)!

"And they say: 'Glory to our Lord! Truly has the promise of our Lord been fulfilled!'"

"And they say: 'Glory to our Lord! Truly has the promise of our Lord been fulfilled!'"

They said: "No matter! for us, we shall but return to our Lord!

And when it is recited to them, they say: "We believe therein, for it is the Truth from our Lord: indeed we have been Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will) from before this.

"So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins).

"And to our Lord, surely, must we turn back!"

They said: "Glory to our Lord! Verily we have been doing wrong!"

"It may be that our Lord will give us in exchange a better (garden) than this: for we do turn to Him (in repentance)!"

'And Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord: He has taken neither a wife nor a son.

"We only fear a Day of distressful Wrath from the side of our Lord."

他降示你这部经典，其中有许多明确的节文，是全经的基本；还有别的许多隐微的节文。心存邪念的人，遵从隐微的节文，企图淆惑人心，探求经义的究竟。只有真主和学问文精通的人才知道经义的究竟。他们说：“我们已确信它，明确的和隐微的，都是从我们的主那里降示的。惟有理智的人，才会觉悟。

然后，他们唯一的托辞是：”指真主--我们的主发誓，我们没有以物配主。”

当他们奉命站在火狱边上的时候，假若你看到他们的情状……。于是，他们说：“啊！但愿我们得复返人世，我们不再否认我们的主的迹象，而我们要做信士了。”

我将拔除他们心中的怨恨，他们将住在下临诸河的乐园，他们将说：“一切赞颂，全归真主！他引导我们获此善报，假如真主没有引导我们，我们不致于遵循正道。我们的主的众使者，确已昭示了真理。”或者将大声地对他们说：“这就是你们因自己的行为而得继承的乐园。”

他们只等待那部经典的效果，他的效果到来的日子，从前忘记这经典的人将会说：“我们的主的众使者，确已昭示真理了！我们有几位说情的人来替我们说情，或准我们返回尘世去，舍罪恶而立善功吗？”他们确已亏折了自身，他们所捏造的事已回避他们了。

他们说：“我们确要返于我们的主。

你无非是责备我们信仰了我们的主所降示的迹象。我们的主啊！求你把坚忍倾注在我们心中，求你在我们顺服的情状下使我们死去。”

他们说：“赞颂我们的主超绝万物！我们的主的诺言必定要被履行。”

他们说：“赞颂我们的主超绝万物！我们的主的诺言必定要被履行。”

他们说：“那也没什么，我们将归于我们的主。

当有人对他们宣读这真言的时候，他们说：“我们确信这真言，它确是从我们的主降示的，在降示它之前，我们确是归顺的。”

故我们应当受我们的主的判决，我们确是尝试的。

我们必定归于我们的主。”

他们说：“赞颂我们的主超绝万物！我们确是不义的。”

或许我们的主，以一个比这还好的园圃，补偿我们，我们确是恳求我们的主的。”

赞颂我们的主的尊严！超绝万物，他没有择取妻室，也没有择取儿女。

我们的确畏惧从我们的主发出的严酷的一日。”
