Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?

The Companions of the Garden will call out to the Companions of the Fire: "We have indeed found the promises of our Lord to us true: Have you also found Your Lord's promises true?" They shall say, "Yes"; but a crier shall proclaim between them: "The curse of Allah is on the wrong-doers;-

Do they just wait for the final fulfilment of the event? On the day the event is finally fulfilled, those who disregarded it before will say: "The messengers of our Lord did indeed bring true (tidings). Have we no intercessors now to intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back? then should we behave differently from our behaviour in the past." In fact they will have lost their souls, and the things they invented will leave them in the lurch.

Do they then expect (any thing) but (what happened in) the days of the men who passed away before them? Say: "Wait ye then: for I, too, will wait with you."

"If then they (your false gods) answer not your (call), know ye that this revelation is sent down (replete) with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but He! will ye even then submit (to Islam)?"

They will all be marshalled before Allah together: then will the weak say to those who were arrogant, "For us, we but followed you; can ye then avail us to all against the wrath of Allah?" They will reply, "If we had received the Guidance of Allah, we should have given it to you: to us it makes no difference (now) whether we rage, or bear (these torments) with patience: for ourselves there is no way of escape."

The worshippers of false gods say: "If Allah had so willed, we should not have worshipped aught but Him - neither we nor our fathers,- nor should we have prescribed prohibitions other than His." So did those who went before them. But what is the mission of messengers but to preach the Clear Message?

They said: "O Zul-qarnain! the Gog and Magog (People) do great mischief on earth: shall we then render thee tribute in order that thou mightest erect a barrier between us and them?

It was We Who taught him the making of coats of mail for your benefit, to guard you from each other's violence: will ye then be grateful?

Say: "What has come to me by inspiration is that your Allah is One Allah: will ye therefore bow to His Will (in Islam)?"

On account of their arrogance in the land and their plotting of Evil, but the plotting of Evil will hem in only the authors thereof. Now are they but looking for the way the ancients were dealt with? But no change wilt thou find in Allah's way (of dealing): no turning off wilt thou find in Allah's way (of dealing).

They will say: "Our Lord! twice hast Thou made us without life, and twice hast Thou given us Life! Now have we recognised our sins: Is there any way out (of this)?"

Behold, they will dispute with each other in the Fire! The weak ones (who followed) will say to those who had been arrogant, "We but followed you: Can ye then take (on yourselves) from us some share of the Fire?

Therefore patiently persevere, as did (all) messengers of inflexible purpose; and be in no haste about the (Unbelievers). On the Day that they see the (Punishment) promised them, (it will be) as if they had not tarried more than an hour in a single day. (Thine but) to proclaim the Message: but shall any be destroyed except those who transgress?

Do they then only wait for the Hour,- that it should come on them of a sudden? But already have come some tokens thereof, and when it (actually) is on them, how can they benefit then by their admonition?

Then, is it to be expected of you, if ye were put in authority, that ye will do mischief in the land, and break your ties of kith and kin?

And We have left this as a Sign (for all time): then is there any that will receive admonition?

And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition?

Then seest thou any of them left surviving?

恶魔惟愿你们因饮酒和赌博而互相仇恨，并且阻止你们记念真主，和谨守拜功。你们将戒除（饮酒和赌博）吗﹖

乐园的居民将大声地对火狱的居民说：“我们已发现我们的主所应许我们的是真实的了。你们是否也发现你们的主所应许你们的是真实的吗？”他们说：“是的。”于是，一个喊叫者要在他们中间喊叫说：“真主的弃绝归于不义者。

他们只等待那部经典的效果，他的效果到来的日子，从前忘记这经典的人将会说：“我们的主的众使者，确已昭示真理了！我们有几位说情的人来替我们说情，或准我们返回尘世去，舍罪恶而立善功吗？”他们确已亏折了自身，他们所捏造的事已回避他们了。

他们只等待在他们之前逝去者所遭的那种苦难日子。”你说：“你们等待吧！我确是与你们一起等待的。”

倘若他们不答应你们，那末，你们当知道这本经是依真主的知觉而降示的，并应当知道，除他外，绝无应受崇拜的。你们是顺服的人吗？

他们将要一同出来见真主，而懦弱者将对自大的人们说：“我们原来是你们的部下，你们能替我们抵抗真主的一点儿刑罚吗？”他们将说：“假若真主引导我们，我们也必然引导你们。我们无论急躁或忍耐，这在我们是一样的，我们绝无避难所。”

以物配主者说：“假若真主意欲，则我们和我们的祖先不会舍他而崇拜任何物的，我们也不会擅自戒除任何物的。”在他们之前的人，曾这样做过了。使者们只负明白的传达的责任。

他们说：“左勒盖尔奈英啊！雅朱者和马朱者，的确在地方捣乱，我们向你进贡，务请你在我们和他们之间建筑一座壁垒，好吗？”

我教他替你们制造铠甲，以保护你们，使你们得免于战争的创伤， 这你们感谢吗？

你说：“我只奉到启示说：你们所当崇拜的，只是独一的主宰。 你们归顺吗？”

在地方上更加自大，更加图谋不轨。阴谋只困其创造者，他们除了等待古人所遭受的常道外，还能等待什么呢？对于真主的常道，你绝不能发现任何变更；对于真主的常道，你绝不能发现任何变迁。

他们要说：“我们的主啊！你使我们死两次，你使我们生两次，故我们承认我们的罪过了。还能有一条出路吗？”

那时他们在火狱中互相争论，懦弱者对自大者说：“我们确已做过你们的顺从者，你们能替我们解除一部分火刑吗？”

你应当坚忍，如有决心的众使者那样坚忍，你不要要求他们所应得的刑罚早日实现。他们眼见自己所做恐吓的刑罚之日，他们将觉得仿佛在尘世只在白昼逗留过片刻。这是一个通告。惟悖逆的民众，才遭毁灭。

他们只等待复活时忽然来临他们，复活时的征候确已来临了。当复活时来临的时候，他们的觉悟，对于他们那里还会有效呢！

假若你们执政，你们会不会在地方上作恶，并断绝亲戚的关系呢？

我确已将这件事留作一种迹象，有接受劝告者吗？
