Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and beware (of evil): if ye do turn back, know ye that it is Our Messenger's duty to proclaim (the message) in the clearest manner.

"On that day, if the penalty is averted from any, it is due to Allah's mercy; And that would be (Salvation), the obvious fulfilment of all desire.

And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"-

The worshippers of false gods say: "If Allah had so willed, we should not have worshipped aught but Him - neither we nor our fathers,- nor should we have prescribed prohibitions other than His." So did those who went before them. But what is the mission of messengers but to preach the Clear Message?

But if they turn away, thy duty is only to preach the clear Message.

There are among men some who serve Allah, as it were, on the verge: if good befalls them, they are, therewith, well content; but if a trial comes to them, they turn on their faces: they lose both this world and the Hereafter: that is loss for all to see!

On that Day Allah will pay them back (all) their just dues, and they will realise that Allah is the (very) Truth, that makes all things manifest.

Say: "Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger: but if ye turn away, he is only responsible for the duty placed on him and ye for that placed on you. If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance. The Messenger's duty is only to preach the clear (Message).

And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)"

"And if ye reject (the Message), so did generations before you: and the duty of the messenger is only to preach publicly (and clearly)."

"And our duty is only to proclaim the clear Message."

For this was obviously a trial-

"Serve ye what ye will besides him." Say: "Truly, those in loss are those who lose their own souls and their People on the Day of Judgment: Ah! that is indeed the (real and) evident Loss!

Then, as to those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them to His Mercy that will be the achievement for all to see.

So obey Allah, and obey His Messenger: but if ye turn back, the duty of Our Messenger is but to proclaim (the Message) clearly and openly.

你们当服从真主，当服从使者，当防备罪恶。如果你们违背命令，那末，你们须知我的使者只负明白的通知的责任。

在那日，谁得避免刑罚，谁确已蒙主的慈恩了。那是明显的成功。

你说：“我确是坦率的警告者。”

以物配主者说：“假若真主意欲，则我们和我们的祖先不会舍他而崇拜任何物的，我们也不会擅自戒除任何物的。”在他们之前的人，曾这样做过了。使者们只负明白的传达的责任。

如果他们违背正道，那末，你只负明白传达的责任。

有人在边缘上崇拜真主，若获福利，他就安然享受；若遭祸害， 他就轻率背叛。他将丧失今世和后世，这是明显的亏损。

在那日，真主要使他们享受他们所应得的完全的报应， 他们要知道真主才是真实的，才是显著的。

你说：“你们应当服从真主，应当服从使者。如果你们违背命令，那末，他只负他的责任，你们只负你们的责任。如果你们服从他，你们就遵循正道。使者只负明白的传达的责任。”

素莱曼继承达五德；他说：“众人啊！我们曾学会百鸟的语言，我们曾获得万物的享受，这确是明显的恩惠。”

如果你们否认（我），那末，在你们之前的许多民族，也否认过（他们的使者）。使者的责任只是明白地传达。”

我们只负明白的传达的责任。”

这确是明显的考验。

你们要舍他而崇拜什么，就崇拜什么吧！”你说：“亏折的人，确是复活日丧失自身和眷属的。真的，那确是明显的亏折。”

至于信道而且行善者，他们的主要使他们入于他的恩惠中，那确是明显的成功。

你们当服从真主，当服从使者。如果你们违背命令，那末，我的使者，只负明白通知的责任。
