But ye turned back thereafter: Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah to you, ye had surely been among the lost.

If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).

This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste women among the People of the Book, revealed before your time,- when ye give them their due dowers, and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues if any one rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).

The (selfish) soul of the other led him to the murder of his brother: he murdered him, and became (himself) one of the lost ones.

They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be lost."

The men who reject Shu'aib became as if they had never been in the homes where they had flourished: the men who rejected Shu'aib - it was they who were ruined!

When they repented, and saw that they had erred, they said: "If our Lord have not mercy upon us and forgive us, we shall indeed be of those who perish."

Nor be of those who reject the signs of Allah, or thou shalt be of those who perish.

Noah said: "O my Lord! I do seek refuge with Thee, lest I ask Thee for that of which I have no knowledge. And unless thou forgive me and have Mercy on me, I should indeed be lost!"

"Serve ye what ye will besides him." Say: "Truly, those in loss are those who lose their own souls and their People on the Day of Judgment: Ah! that is indeed the (real and) evident Loss!

But it has already been revealed to thee,- as it was to those before thee,- "If thou wert to join (gods with Allah), truly fruitless will be thy work (in life), and thou wilt surely be in the ranks of those who lose (all spiritual good)".

"But this thought of yours which ye did entertain concerning your Lord, hath brought you to destruction, and (now) have ye become of those utterly lost!"

And thou wilt see them brought forward to the (Penalty), in a humble frame of mind because of (their) disgrace, (and) looking with a stealthy glance. And the Believers will say: "Those are indeed in loss, who have given to perdition their own selves and those belonging to them on the Day of Judgment. Behold! Truly the Wrong-doers are in a lasting Penalty!"

以後，你们背叛。假若没有真主赏赐你们的恩惠和慈恩，你们必定变成亏折者。

舍伊斯教寻求别的宗教的人，他所寻求的宗教，绝不被接受，他在后世，是亏折的。

今天，准许你们吃一切佳美的食物；曾受天经者的食物，对于你们是合法的；你们的食物，对于他们也是合法的；信道的自由女，和曾受天经的自由女，对于你们都是合法的，如果你们把他们的聘仪交给她们，但你们应当是贞节的，不可是淫荡的，也不可是有情人的。谁否认正信，谁的善功，确已无效了；他在后世，是亏折的人。

他的私欲撺掇他杀他的弟弟。故他杀了他之后，变成了亏折的人。

他俩说：“我们的主啊！我们已自欺了，如果你不赦宥我们，不慈悯我们，我们必定变成亏折者。”

否认舒阿卜的人，好像没有在那个城市里居住过一样。否认舒阿卜的人，确是亏折的。

当他们已经悔恨，而且知道自己确已迷误的时候，他们说：“如果我们的主不慈悯我们，不饶恕我们，我们一定变成亏折的人了。”

切莫居于否认真主的迹象者的行列，以致你入于亏折者之中。

他说：“我的主啊！我求庇于你，以免我向你祈求我所不知道的事情，如果你不饶恕我，不怜悯我，我就变成为亏折的人了。”

你们要舍他而崇拜什么，就崇拜什么吧！”你说：“亏折的人，确是复活日丧失自身和眷属的。真的，那确是明显的亏折。”

你和你以前的人，都奉到启示说：“如果你以物配主，则你的善功，必定无效，而你必定成为亏折者。

你们对于你们的主所怀的这种猜想已害了你们，故你们变成了亏折者。

你将来要看见他们身临火刑，为卑贱而恭敬，暗中偷看。信道者将说：“亏折的人们，在复活日确是丧失自身和家属的。”真的，不义者必在永恒的刑罚中。
