Also (prohibited are) women already married, except those whom your right hands possess: Thus hath Allah ordained (Prohibitions) against you: Except for these, all others are lawful, provided ye seek (them in marriage) with gifts from your property,- desiring chastity, not lust, seeing that ye derive benefit from them, give them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if, after a dower is prescribed, agree Mutually (to vary it), there is no blame on you, and Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.

If any of you have not the means wherewith to wed free believing women, they may wed believing girls from among those whom your right hands possess: And Allah hath full knowledge about your faith. Ye are one from another: Wed them with the leave of their owners, and give them their dowers, according to what is reasonable: They should be chaste, not lustful, nor taking paramours: when they are taken in wedlock, if they fall into shame, their punishment is half that for free women. This (permission) is for those among you who fear sin; but it is better for you that ye practise self-restraint. And Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste women among the People of the Book, revealed before your time,- when ye give them their due dowers, and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues if any one rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).

O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated (from Makka) with thee; and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her;- this only for thee, and not for the Believers (at large); We know what We have appointed for them as to their wives and the captives whom their right hands possess;- in order that there should be no difficulty for thee. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

O ye who believe! When there come to you believing women refugees, examine (and test) them: Allah knows best as to their Faith: if ye ascertain that they are Believers, then send them not back to the Unbelievers. They are not lawful (wives) for the Unbelievers, nor are the (Unbelievers) lawful (husbands) for them. But pay the Unbelievers what they have spent (on their dower), and there will be no blame on you if ye marry them on payment of their dower to them. But hold not to the guardianship of unbelieving women: ask for what ye have spent on their dowers, and let the (Unbelievers) ask for what they have spent (on the dowers of women who come over to you). Such is the command of Allah: He judges (with justice) between you. And Allah is Full of Knowledge and Wisdom.

Let the women live (in 'iddat) in the same style as ye live, according to your means: Annoy them not, so as to restrict them. And if they carry (life in their wombs), then spend (your substance) on them until they deliver their burden: and if they suckle your (offspring), give them their recompense: and take mutual counsel together, according to what is just and reasonable. And if ye find yourselves in difficulties, let another woman suckle (the child) on the (father's) behalf.

（他又严禁你们娶）有丈夫的妇女，但你们所管辖的妇女除外；真主以此为你们的定制。除此以外，一切妇女，对于你们是合法的，你们可以借自己的财产而谋与妇女结合，但你们应当是贞节的，不可是淫荡的。既与你们成婚的妇女，你们应当把已决定的聘仪交给她们。既决定聘仪之后，你们双方同意的事，对于你们是毫无罪过的。真主确是全知的，确是至睿的。

你们当中在能力方面谁不能娶信道的自由女，谁可以娶友所管辖的信道的奴婢。真主是知道你们的信仰的。你们彼此是同教的，故你们取得她们的主人的许可后，可娶她们为妻室，你们应当把她们的聘仪照例交给她们，但她们应当是贞节的，不可是淫荡的，也不可是有情人的。她们既婚之后，如果作了丑事，那末，她们应受自由女所应受的刑罚的一半。这是特许你们中恐陷于奸淫的人规定的。你们能坚忍，那对于你们是更好的。真主是至赦的，是至慈的。

今天，准许你们吃一切佳美的食物；曾受天经者的食物，对于你们是合法的；你们的食物，对于他们也是合法的；信道的自由女，和曾受天经的自由女，对于你们都是合法的，如果你们把他们的聘仪交给她们，但你们应当是贞节的，不可是淫荡的，也不可是有情人的。谁否认正信，谁的善功，确已无效了；他在后世，是亏折的人。

先知啊！我确已准你享受你给予聘礼的妻子，你的奴婢，即真主以为你的战利品的，你的从父的女儿．你的姑母的女儿．你的舅父的女儿．你的姨母的女儿．她们是同你一道迁居的。信道的妇女，若将自身赠与先知，若先知愿意娶她，这是特许你的，信士们不得援例--我知道我为他们的妻子与奴婢而对他们做出的规定--以免你感受困难。真主是至赦的，是至慈的。

信道的人们啊！当信女们迁移而来的时候，你们当试验她们。真主是至知她们的信德的--如果你们认为她们确是信女，那末，就不要使她们再归不信道的丈夫。她们对於他们是不合法的，他们对於她们也是不合法的。你们应当把他们所纳的聘礼偿还他们。当你们把她们的聘礼交付给她们的时候，你们娶她们为妻，对於你们是毫无罪过的。你们不要坚持不信道的妻子的婚约，你们当索回你们所纳的聘礼，叫他们也索回他们所纳的聘礼。这是真主的律例，他依此而替你们判决。真主是全知的，是至睿的。

你们当依自己的能力而使她们住在你们所住的地方，你们不要妨害她们，而使她们烦闷。如果她们有孕，你们就应当供给她们，直到她们分娩。如果她们为你们哺乳，你们应当报酬她们，并且应当依正义而相商。如果你们的意见不合，就让别的妇人为他哺乳。
