If thou dost marvel (at their want of faith), strange is their saying: "When we are (actually) dust, shall we indeed then be in a creation renewed?" They are those who deny their Lord! They are those round whose necks will be yokes (of servitude): they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for aye)!

He sends down water from the skies, and the channels flow, each according to its measure: But the torrent bears away to foam that mounts up to the surface. Even so, from that (ore) which they heat in the fire, to make ornaments or utensils therewith, there is a scum likewise. Thus doth Allah (by parables) show forth Truth and Vanity. For the scum disappears like forth cast out; while that which is for the good of mankind remains on the earth. Thus doth Allah set forth parables.

And they set up (idols) as equal to Allah, to mislead (men) from the Path! Say: "Enjoy (your brief power)! But verily ye are making straightway for Hell!"

Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire."

But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard: "Blessed are those in the fire and those around: and glory to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

And if any do evil, their faces will be thrown headlong into the Fire: "Do ye receive a reward other than that which ye have earned by your deeds?"

Now when Moses had fulfilled the term, and was travelling with his family, he perceived a fire in the direction of Mount Tur. He said to his family: "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; I hope to bring you from there some information, or a burning firebrand, that ye may warm yourselves."

And we made them (but) leaders inviting to the Fire; and on the Day of Judgment no help shall they find.

So naught was the answer of (Abraham's) people except that they said: "Slay him or burn him." But Allah did save him from the Fire. Verily in this are Signs for people who believe.

As to those who are rebellious and wicked, their abode will be the Fire: every time they wish to get away therefrom, they will be forced thereinto, and it will be said to them: "Taste ye the Penalty of the Fire, the which ye were wont to reject as false."

The Day that their faces will be turned upside down in the Fire, they will say: "Woe to us! Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger!"

So on that Day no power shall they have over each other, for profit or harm: and We shall say to the wrong-doers, "Taste ye the Penalty of the Fire,- the which ye were wont to deny!"

Not without purpose did We create heaven and earth and all between! that were the thought of Unbelievers! but woe to the Unbelievers because of the Fire (of Hell)!

Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire!

They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!"

Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire!

When some trouble toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning to Him in repentance: but when He bestoweth a favour upon him as from Himself, (man) doth forget what he cried and prayed for before, and he doth set up rivals unto Allah, thus misleading others from Allah's Path. Say, "Enjoy thy blasphemy for a little while: verily thou art (one) of the Companions of the Fire!"

They shall have Layers of Fire above them, and Layers (of Fire) below them: with this doth Allah warn off his servants: "O My Servants! then fear ye Me!"

Is, then, one against whom the decree of Punishment is justly due (equal to one who eschews Evil)? Wouldst thou, then, deliver one (who is) in the Fire?

Thus was the Decree of thy Lord proved true against the Unbelievers; that truly they are Companions of the Fire!

"And O my people! How (strange) it is for me to call you to Salvation while ye call me to the Fire!

"Without doubt ye do call me to one who is not fit to be called to, whether in this world, or in the Hereafter; our return will be to Allah; and the Transgressors will be Companions of the Fire!

Behold, they will dispute with each other in the Fire! The weak ones (who followed) will say to those who had been arrogant, "We but followed you: Can ye then take (on yourselves) from us some share of the Fire?

Those in the Fire will say to the Keepers of Hell: "Pray to your Lord to lighten us the Penalty for a day (at least)!"

In the boiling fetid fluid: then in the Fire shall they be burned;

On the Day that the enemies of Allah will be gathered together to the Fire, they will be marched in ranks.

Those who pervert the Truth in Our Signs are not hidden from Us. Which is better?- he that is cast into the Fire, or he that comes safe through, on the Day of Judgment? Do what ye will: verily He seeth (clearly) all that ye do.

And on the Day that the Unbelievers will be placed before the Fire, (It will be said to them): "Ye received your good things in the life of the world, and ye took your pleasure out of them: but today shall ye be recompensed with a Penalty of humiliation: for that ye were arrogant on earth without just cause, and that ye (ever) transgressed."

And on the Day that the Unbelievers will be placed before the Fire, (they will be asked,) "Is this not the Truth?" they will say, "Yea, by our Lord!" (One will say:) "Then taste ye the Penalty, for that ye were wont to deny (Truth)!"

真主从云中降下雨水，一切沟壑就尽量流行。山洪载著浮渣--他们为制造首饰和器皿而熔化的金属，也有同样的浮渣。真主如此阐明真伪--至于渣滓则被冲走，至于有益于人的东西则留存在地面上。真主如此阐明许多比喻。

他们为真主树立许多匹敌，以便他们使人背离主的大道。你说：“你们享受吧，因为你们必归于火狱！”

当时，他看见一处火光，就对他的家属说：“你们稍留一下， 我确已看见一处火了，也许我拿一个火把来给你们，或许我在有火的那里发现向导。”

他到了那个火的附近，就有声音喊叫他说：“在火的附近和四周的人，都蒙福佑。赞颂真主--全世界的主，超绝万物。

做恶的人，将匍匐着投入火狱：”你们只受你们的行为的报酬。”

当穆萨已做满期限，而带着他的家属旅行的时候，他看见那座山的这边有一处火光，他对他的家属说：“你们等待一下，我确已看见一处火光，也许我从火光的那里带一个消息来给你们，或带一个火把来给你们烤火。”

我以他们为召人于火狱的罪魁，复活日，他们将不获援助。

他的宗族说：“你们杀死他，或烧死他吧！”这是他们唯一的答复。真主拯救他脱离烈火，对于信道的民众，此中确有许多迹象。

至于悖逆者，他们的归宿，只是火狱，每当他们要想逃出，都被拦回去。有声音对他们说：“你们尝试以前你们所否认的火刑吧！”

他们的面皮在火中被翻转之日，他们将说：“但愿我们曾服从真主，服从使者！”

今日，他们不能互利，也不能相害；我将对不义的人们说：“你们尝试你们所否认的火刑吧！”

我没有徒然地创造天地万物，那是不信道者的猜测。悲哉！不信道的人们将受火刑。

这些是与你们一齐突进的队伍，他们不受欢迎，他们必入火狱。

他们将说：“我们的主啊！谁把我们诱惑到这种境地，求你使谁在火狱中受加倍的刑罚。”

居火狱者的争论是必然的。

遭遇患难的时候，祈祷他的主，而归依他。然后，他赏赐他一种恩惠的时候，他就忘却以前曾祈求真主解除患难，而且为他树立若干匹敌，以致别人迷失真主的大道。你说：“你暂时享受你的不信吧！你必定是居住火狱的。

他们的上面，有层层的火；他们的下面，也有层层的火。那是真主用以恫吓他的众仆的。我的众仆啊！你们当敬畏我。

应当受刑罚的判决者，（必入火狱），难道你还想拯救他吗？

不信道者当这样受你的主的判决，他们是居住火狱的。

我的宗族啊！怎么我召你们于得渡，而你们却召我于火狱呢？

其实，你们召我去崇拜的东西，在今世和后世，都不能应答任何祈祷。我们的归宿是真主，过分者必是火狱的居民。

那时他们在火狱中互相争论，懦弱者对自大者说：“我们确已做过你们的顺从者，你们能替我们解除一部分火刑吗？”

在火狱里的人对管理火狱的天神说：“请你们祈祷你们的主，求他给我们减轻一日的刑罚。”

他们将被拖入沸水中，然后他们将在火中被烧灼。

在那日，真主的敌人将被召集到火狱去。他们是受约束的。

曲解我的迹象者，必不能隐匿起来，不让我看见他们。是在复活日被投入火狱者好呢？还是在复活日安全者好呢？你们要做什么，就随便做什么吧！他确是明察你们的行为的。

不信道的人们遭受火刑之日，或者将对他们说：“你们在尘世生活中，已将你们的福分消尽享完；今日你们应受凌辱的刑罚，因为你们曾在地方上妄自尊大，也因为你们曾经犯罪。”

不信道的人们遭受火刑之日，或者将对他们说：“难道这刑罚不是真实的吗？”他们将说：“是真实的，以我们的主盟誓！”他将说：“你们尝试刑罚吧！因为你们没有信道。”
