Praise be Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet those who reject Faith hold (others) as equal, with their Guardian-Lord.

Say: "Bring forward your witnesses to prove that Allah did forbid so and so." If they bring such witnesses, be not thou amongst them: Nor follow thou the vain desires of such as treat our signs as falsehoods, and such as believe not in the Hereafter: for they hold others as equal with their Guardian-Lord.

If thou dost marvel (at their want of faith), strange is their saying: "When we are (actually) dust, shall we indeed then be in a creation renewed?" They are those who deny their Lord! They are those round whose necks will be yokes (of servitude): they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for aye)!

The parable of those who reject their Lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a tempestuous day: No power have they over aught that they have earned: that is the straying far, far (from the goal).

Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord-

We relate to thee their story in truth: they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We advanced them in guidance:

Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord;

When trouble touches men, they cry to their Lord, turning back to Him in repentance: but when He gives them a taste of Mercy as from Himself, behold, some of them pay part-worship to other god's besides their Lord,-

For those who reject their Lord (and Cherisher) is the Penalty of Hell: and evil is (such), Destination.

一切赞颂，全归真主！他创造天和地，造化重重黑暗和光明；不信道的人，却以物配主。

你说：“曾见真主戒食此类禁物的见证，你们把他们召来吧！”如果他们作证，那末，你不要与他们一同作证。那些既否认我的迹象，又不信后世，而且以物配主的人，你不要顺从他们的私欲。

如果你感到惊讶，那末，他们的这句话才是奇怪的：”当我们变成为尘土的时候，我们必定要重新受造吗？”这等人是不信他们的主的，这等人是要带枷锁的；这等人是居住火狱的，他们将永居其中。

不信主者，他们的善功比如一堆灰，在暴风之日，被狂风吹散，他们对于自己所谋求的，不能获得一点报酬。这确是深深的迷误。

然后，当他解除你们的患难的时候，你们中有一部分人，立刻以物配他们的主，

我把他们的故事，诚实地告诉你，他们是几个青年，他们信仰他们的主，而我给他们增加正道。

不以物配主者，

人们遭难的时候，祈祷他们的主，同时归依他。当他使他们尝试他的恩惠的时候，他们中的一部分人，立刻以物配主，

不信主的人们将受火狱的刑罚，那归宿真恶劣！
