Who has made the earth your couch, and the heavens your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith Fruits for your sustenance; then set not up rivals unto Allah when ye know (the truth).

Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal (with Allah): They love them as they should love Allah. But those of Faith are overflowing in their love for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the penalty: that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly enforce the penalty.

And they set up (idols) as equal to Allah, to mislead (men) from the Path! Say: "Enjoy (your brief power)! But verily ye are making straightway for Hell!"

Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Nay! it was a plot (of yours) by day and by night: Behold! Ye (constantly) ordered us to be ungrateful to Allah and to attribute equals to Him!" They will declare (their) repentance when they see the Penalty: We shall put yokes on the necks of the Unbelievers: It would only be a requital for their (ill) Deeds.

When some trouble toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning to Him in repentance: but when He bestoweth a favour upon him as from Himself, (man) doth forget what he cried and prayed for before, and he doth set up rivals unto Allah, thus misleading others from Allah's Path. Say, "Enjoy thy blasphemy for a little while: verily thou art (one) of the Companions of the Fire!"

Say: Is it that ye deny Him Who created the earth in two Days? And do ye join equals with Him? He is the Lord of (all) the Worlds.

他以大地为你们的席，以天空为你们的幕，并且从云中降下雨水，而借雨水生许多果实，做你们的给养，所以你们不要明知故犯地给真主树立匹敌。

有些人，在真主之外，别有崇拜，当做真主的匹敌；他们敬爱那些匹敌，象敬爱真主一样──信道的人们，对於敬爱真主，尤为恳挚──当不义的人，看见刑罚的时候，假若他们知道一切权力都是真主的，真主是刑罚严厉的……。

他们为真主树立许多匹敌，以便他们使人背离主的大道。你说：“你们享受吧，因为你们必归于火狱！”

被欺负的人们将对骄傲的人们说：“不然！这是你们昼夜的计谋。当时，你们教我们不信真主，却为他树立许多匹敌。”当他们看见刑罚的时候，他们表示悔恨。我要反枷锁放在在信道者的脖子上，他们只受他们的行为的报酬。

遭遇患难的时候，祈祷他的主，而归依他。然后，他赏赐他一种恩惠的时候，他就忘却以前曾祈求真主解除患难，而且为他树立若干匹敌，以致别人迷失真主的大道。你说：“你暂时享受你的不信吧！你必定是居住火狱的。

你说：“你们真不信在两日内创造大地者，而要为他树立许多匹敌吗？那是全世界的主。”
