And no reward dost thou ask of them for this: it is no less than a message for all creatures.

And Moses said: "If ye show ingratitude, ye and all on earth together, yet is Allah free of all wants, worthy of all praise.

Their messengers said: "Is there a doubt about Allah, The Creator of the heavens and the earth? It is He Who invites you, in order that He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a term appointed!" They said: "Ah! ye are no more than human, like ourselves! Ye wish to turn us away from the (gods) our fathers used to worship: then bring us some clear authority."

Their messengers said to them: "True, we are human like yourselves, but Allah doth grant His grace to such of his servants as He pleases. It is not for us to bring you an authority except as Allah permits. And on Allah let all men of faith put their trust.

Seest thou not that Allah created the heavens and the earth in Truth? If He so will, He can remove you and put (in your place) a new creation?

"Why bringest thou not angels to us if it be that thou hast the Truth?"

He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)."

If thou art anxious for their guidance, yet Allah guideth not such as He leaves to stray, and there is none to help them.

And before thee also the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: if ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message.

Nor sell the covenant of Allah for a miserable price: for with Allah is (a prize) far better for you, if ye only knew.

So eat of the sustenance which Allah has provided for you, lawful and good; and be grateful for the favours of Allah, if it is He Whom ye serve.

If ye did well, ye did well for yourselves; if ye did evil, (ye did it) against yourselves. So when the second of the warnings came to pass, (We permitted your enemies) to disfigure your faces, and to enter your Temple as they had entered it before, and to visit with destruction all that fell into their power.

Your Lord knoweth best what is in your hearts: If ye do deeds of righteousness, verily He is Most Forgiving to those who turn to Him again and again (in true penitence).

We know best why it is they listen, when they listen to thee; and when they meet in private conference, behold, the wicked say, "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched!"

"It will be on a Day when He will call you, and ye will answer (His call) with (words of) His praise, and ye will think that ye tarried but a little while!"

It is your Lord that knoweth you best: If He please, He granteth you mercy, or if He please, punishment: We have not sent thee to be a disposer of their affairs for them.

"And they say: 'Glory to our Lord! Truly has the promise of our Lord been fulfilled!'"

No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. It is a grievous thing that issues from their mouths as a saying what they say is nothing but falsehood!

Thou wouldst only, perchance, fret thyself to death, following after them, in grief, if they believe not in this Message.

"For if they should come upon you, they would stone you or force you to return to their cult, and in that case ye would never attain prosperity."

"Why didst thou not, as thou wentest into thy garden, say: 'Allah's will (be done)! There is no power but with Allah!' If thou dost see me less than thee in wealth and sons,

Moses said: "Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught."

(Moses) said: "If ever I ask thee about anything after this, keep me not in thy company: then wouldst thou have received (full) excuse from my side."

She said: "I seek refuge from thee to (Allah) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah."

Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant.

They said: "These two are certainly (expert) magicians: their object is to drive you out from your land with their magic, and to do away with your most cherished institutions.

In whispers will they consult each other: "Yet tarried not longer than ten (Days);

We know best what they will say, when their leader most eminent in conduct will say: "Ye tarried not longer than a day!"

Before thee, also, the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: If ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message.

你不为传授《古兰经》而向他们要求任何报酬。《古兰经》只是对世人的教诲。

穆萨说：“如果你们和大地上的人统统都忘恩负义，（也无损于真主），因为真主确是无求的，确是可颂的。”

他们族中的使者说：“难道对于真主--天地的创造者--还有怀疑吗？他号召你们行善，以便他饶恕你们的罪过，并对你们缓刑到一个定期。”他们说：“你们只是像我们一样的凡人，你们欲阻止我们崇拜我们的祖先所崇拜的（偶像），你们昭示我们一个明证吧！”

他们族中的一个使者对他们说：“我们只是像你们一样的凡人，但真主施恩于他所意欲的仆人。我们不该昭示你们任何明证，除非奉真主的命令，信道者只信托真主。

难道你没有看见真主已本真理而创造天地吗？如果他意欲，他就消灭你们，而创造新人。

你怎不昭示我们一些天神呢？如果你是说实话的。”

他说：“这些是我的女儿，如果你们要干什么。”

如果你们热望他们获得引导，那末，（你的热望是徒然的），真主不引导那误导人者，他们绝没有任何援助者。

在你之前，我只派遣了我所启示的一些男子。你们应当请教深明教诲者，如果你们不知道。

你们不要以廉价出卖真主的盟约；在真主那里的，对于你们是更好的，如果你们知道。

你们可以吃真主赏赐你们的合法而佳美的食物，你们应当感谢真主的恩惠，如果你们只崇拜他。

我说：“如果你们行善，那末，你们是为自己而行善，如果你们作恶，那末，你们是为自己而作恶。”当第二次作乱的约期来临的时候，（我又派遣他们），以便他们使你们变成为愁眉苦脸的，以便他们像头一次那样再入禁寺，以便他们把自己所占领的地方加以摧毁。

你们的主是最知道你们的心情的。如果你们是善良的，那末，他对于常常悔过者确是至赦的。

我最知道他们为何要倾听你诵经，当时他们来倾听你诵经，并且秘密地谈话。当时不义者们说：“你们只是顺从一个中了魔术的人。”

在那时，他将召唤你们，而你们将以颂词答应他。你们将猜想自己在坟墓里只逗留了一会儿。

”你们的主是最知道你们的，他要怜悯你们就怜悯你们；他要惩罚你们就惩罚你们。”我没派遣你做他们的监护者。

他们说：“赞颂我们的主超绝万物！我们的主的诺言必定要被履行。”

他们和他们的祖先，对于这句话都毫无知识，他们信口开河地说这句荒谬绝伦的话。

如果他们不信这训辞，在他们背离之后，你或许为悲伤而自杀。

城里的人，如果拿著你们，将用石头打死你们，或者强迫你们信奉他们的宗教，那末，你们就永不会成功了。”

你走进你的园圃的时候，你怎么不说：'这件事是真主意欲的。除真主外，我绝无能力！'如果你认为我的财产和后嗣都不如你，

穆萨说：“如果真主意欲，你将发现我是坚忍的，不会违抗你的任何命令。”

穆萨说：“此后，如果我再问你什么道理，你就可以不许我再追随你，你对于我，总算仁至义尽了。”

她说：“我的确求庇于至仁主，免遭你的侵犯，如果你是敬畏的。”

凡在天地间的，将来没有一个不像奴仆一样归依至仁主的。

他们说：“这两个确是术士，想用魔术把你们逐出国境， 并且废除你们的最完善的制度，

他们低声相告说：“你们只逗留了十天。”

我知道他们说些什么。当时，他们中思想最正确的人说：“你们只逗留了一天。”
