We did reveal to Moses the Book after We had destroyed the earlier generations, (to give) Insight to men, and guidance and Mercy, that they might receive admonition.

The (material) things which ye are given are but the conveniences of this life and the glitter thereof; but that which is with Allah is better and more enduring: will ye not then be wise?

And those who had envied his position the day before began to say on the morrow: "Ah! it is indeed Allah Who enlarges the provision or restricts it, to any of His servants He pleases! had it not been that Allah was gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up! We did test those before them, and Allah will certainly know those who are true from those who are false.

Then there are among men such as say, "We believe in Allah"; but when they suffer affliction in (the cause of) Allah, they treat men's oppression as if it were the Wrath of Allah! And if help comes (to thee) from thy Lord, they are sure to say, "We have (always) been with you!" Does not Allah know best all that is in the hearts of all creation?

我将从每一个民族中先拔一个证人，并且说：“你们把你们的证据拿来吧！”他们才知道真理是真主的，他们生前所伪造的，已回避他们了。

戈伦的确属于穆萨的宗族，但他虐待他们。我曾赏赐他许多财宝，那些财宝的钥匙是几个力士所不能胜任的。当日，他的宗族对他说：“不要狂喜，真主确是不爱狂喜者。

他说：“我获得这项财富，只是因为我有特殊的知识罢了。”难道他不知道吗？在他之前，真主所毁灭的各世代的恶人，有比他能力更强、积蓄更多的。犯罪的人，是不必加以审问的。

我使他和他的房屋沦陷在地面下，他没有党羽协助他抵抗真主，他也不能自卫。

昨天羡慕戈伦的境遇的人说：“你不见吗？真主要使哪个仆人的给养宽裕，就使他宽裕；（要使哪个仆人的给养窘迫），就使他窘迫。假若没有真主对我们的恩典，他必使我们沦陷在地面下。你不知道吗？孤恩的人，是不会成功的。”

你并未希望真主把这部经典赏赐你，但那是由于你的主的恩惠。你绝不要做不信道者的助手。

我确已考验在他们之前的人。真主必定要知道说实话者，必定要知道说谎者。

有些人说：“我们已信真主了。”当他们为真主而受迫害的时候，他们把众人的迫害当做真主的刑罚。如果援助从你们的主降临，他们必定说：“我们确是与你们同在一起的。”难道真主不是知道世人的胸襟的吗？
