Remember! Moses said to his people: "Call to mind the favour of Allah to you when He delivered you from the people of Pharaoh: they set you hard tasks and punishments, slaughtered your sons, and let your women-folk live: therein was a tremendous trial from your Lord."

We have made the Night and the Day as two (of Our) Signs: the Sign of the Night have We obscured, while the Sign of the Day We have made to enlighten you; that ye may seek bounty from your Lord, and that ye may know the number and count of the years: all things have We explained in detail.

Say, "The truth is from your Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it): for the wrong-doers We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces, how dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on!

So Moses returned to his people in a state of indignation and sorrow. He said: "O my people! did not your Lord make a handsome promise to you? Did then the promise seem to you long (in coming)? Or did ye desire that Wrath should descend from your Lord on you, and so ye broke your promise to me?"

Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord."

There was, for Saba, aforetime, a Sign in their home-land - two Gardens to the right and to the left. "Eat of the Sustenance (provided) by your Lord, and be grateful to Him: a territory fair and happy, and a Lord Oft-Forgiving!

If ye reject (Allah), Truly Allah hath no need of you; but He liketh not ingratitude from His servants: if ye are grateful, He is pleased with you. No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. In the end, to your Lord is your Return, when He will tell you the truth of all that ye did (in this life). for He knoweth well all that is in (men's) hearts.

In the end will ye (all), on the Day of Judgment, settle your disputes in the presence of your Lord.

"Turn ye to our Lord (in repentance) and bow to His (Will), before the Penalty comes on you: after that ye shall not be helped.

"And follow the best of (the courses) revealed to you from your Lord, before the Penalty comes on you - of a sudden while ye perceive not!-

The Unbelievers will be led to Hell in crowd: until, when they arrive, there, its gates will be opened. And its keepers will say, "Did not messengers come to you from among yourselves, rehearsing to you the Signs of your Lord, and warning you of the Meeting of This Day of yours?" The answer will be: "True: but the Decree of Punishment has been proved true against the Unbelievers!"

A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said: "Will ye slay a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah'?- when he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him is (the sin of) his lie: but, if he is telling the Truth, then will fall on you something of the (calamity) of which he warns you: Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies!

In order that ye may sit firm and square on their backs, and when so seated, ye may celebrate the (kind) favour of your Lord, and say, "Glory to Him Who has subjected these to our (use), for we could never have accomplished this (by ourselves),

If any one does a righteous deed, it ensures to the benefit of his own soul; if he does evil, it works against (his own soul). In the end will ye (all) be brought back to your Lord.

Be ye foremost (in seeking) Forgiveness from your Lord, and a Garden (of Bliss), the width whereof is as the width of heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His messengers: that is the Grace of Allah, which He bestows on whom he pleases: and Allah is the Lord of Grace abounding.

O ye who believe! Take not my enemies and yours as friends (or protectors),- offering them (your) love, even though they have rejected the Truth that has come to you, and have (on the contrary) driven out the Prophet and yourselves (from your homes), (simply) because ye believe in Allah your Lord! If ye have come out to strive in My Way and to seek My Good Pleasure, (take them not as friends), holding secret converse of love (and friendship) with them: for I know full well all that ye conceal and all that ye reveal. And any of you that does this has strayed from the Straight Path.

当时，穆萨曾对他的宗族说：“你们应当铭记真主赐给你们的恩典，他曾使你们脱离法老的臣民。他们使你们遭受酷刑，屠杀你们的男子，留下你们的女子，此中有从你们的主降下的大难。”

我以昼夜为两种迹象，我抹掉黑夜的迹象，并以白昼为明亮的，以便你们寻求从你们的主发出的恩惠，以便你们知道历法和算术。我明白地解释一切事物。

你说：“真理是从你们的主降示的，谁愿信道就让他信吧，谁不愿信道，就让他不信吧。”我已为不义的人，预备了烈火，那烈火的烟幕将笼罩他们。如果他们（为乾渴而）求救，就以一种水供他们解渴，那种水像沥青那样烧灼人面，那饮料真糟糕！那归宿真恶劣！

穆萨悲愤地转回去看他的宗族，他说：“我的宗族啊！难道你们的主，没有给你们一个美好的应许吗？你们觉得时间太长呢？ 还是你们想应受从你们的主发出的谴责，因而你们违背了对我的约言呢？”

你说：“奉命主管你们的生命的死神，将使你们死亡，然后你们将被召归于你们的主。”

赛伯邑族，在他们的居处，确有一种迹象：两个园圃，分列左右。”你们可以吃你们的主的给养，你们要感谢他。一个肥美的地方，一个至赦的主宰。”

如果你们忘恩，那末，真主确是无求于你们的，他不喜悦他的众仆忘恩负义。如果你们感谢，那末，他喜悦你们的感谢。一个负罪的人，不负别人的罪。然后，你们只归于你们的主，他要将你们的行为告诉你们。他确是全知心事者。

然后，在复活日，你们必定要在你们的主那里，互相争论。

在刑罚来临你们，而你们不获援助以前，你们当归依你们的主。

在刑罚不知不觉地忽然降临你们以前，你们应当遵从你们的主降示你们的最美的训辞。”

不信道者，将一队一队地被赶入火狱，迨他们来到火狱前面的时候，狱门开了，管狱的天神要对他们说：“难道你们族中的使者没有来对你们宣读你们的主的迹象，并警告你们将有今日的相会吗？”他们说：“不然！不信道的人们，应当受刑罚的判决。”

法老族中一个秘密归信的信士说：“一个人把从你们的主发出的明证昭示你们，并说'我的主是真主'，你们就要杀戮他吗？如果他是一个说谎者，那末，他自受谎言之害；如果他是一个诚实者，那末，他所用以恫吓你们的灾难，将有一部分来临你们，真主必定不引导过分的常说谎言者。

以便你们端坐在上面。然后，在端坐的时候，想着你们主的恩典，并且说：“赞颂真主，超绝万物！他为我们制服此物，我们对于它本是无能的。

行善者自受其益，作恶者自受其害。然后，你们要被召归于你们的主。

你们应当争取从你们的主发出的赦宥，和与天地一样广阔的乐园--为信仰真主和众使者的人们而准备的乐园--那是真主的恩典，他将它赏赐他所意欲者。真主是有宏恩的。

信道的人们啊！你们不要以我的敌人和你们的敌人为朋友，而传送消息给他们，以示亲爱。他们不信降临你们的真理，他们为你们信仰真主--你们的主--而将使者和你们驱逐出境。如果你们从故乡迁出，是由於为我而奋斗，是由於寻求我的喜悦，（那么，你们不要以他们为朋友）。你们秘密地传送消息给他们，以示亲爱，其实，我知道你们所隐匿的和你们所显示的。你们中谁做这件事，谁已背离正道。
