And in the earth are tracts (diverse though) neighbouring, and gardens of vines and fields sown with corn, and palm trees - growing out of single roots or otherwise: watered with the same water, yet some of them We make more excellent than others to eat. Behold, verily in these things there are signs for those who understand!

Say, "The truth is from your Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it): for the wrong-doers We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces, how dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on!

So We opened the gates of heaven, with water pouring forth.

Say: "See ye?- If your stream be some morning lost (in the underground earth), who then can supply you with clear-flowing water?"

大地上有许多邻近的区域，有葡萄园，有庄稼，有椰枣树，其中有二株同根生的，二株异根生的，（这些都是）用同样的水灌溉的，我却使这一部分果实比那一部分佳美。对于能理解的民众，此中确有许多迹象。

你说：“真理是从你们的主降示的，谁愿信道就让他信吧，谁不愿信道，就让他不信吧。”我已为不义的人，预备了烈火，那烈火的烟幕将笼罩他们。如果他们（为乾渴而）求救，就以一种水供他们解渴，那种水像沥青那样烧灼人面，那饮料真糟糕！那归宿真恶劣！

我就以倾注的雨水开了许多天门，

你说：“你们告诉我吧，如果你们的水一旦渗漏了，谁能给你们一条流水呢？”
