And remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Ye have indeed wronged yourselves by your worship of the calf: So turn (in repentance) to your Maker, and slay yourselves (the wrong-doers); that will be better for you in the sight of your Maker." Then He turned towards you (in forgiveness): For He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.

And remember Moses prayed for water for his people; We said: "Strike the rock with thy staff." Then gushed forth therefrom twelve springs. Each group knew its own place for water. So eat and drink of the sustenance provided by Allah, and do no evil nor mischief on the (face of the) earth.

And remember Moses said to his people: "Allah commands that ye sacrifice a heifer." They said: "Makest thou a laughing-stock of us?" He said: "Allah save me from being an ignorant (fool)!"

Remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, when He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples.

We also (sent) Lut: He said to his people: "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you?

Said Moses to his people: "Pray for help from Allah, and (wait) in patience and constancy: for the earth is Allah's, to give as a heritage to such of His servants as He pleaseth; and the end is (best) for the righteous.

Relate to them the story of Noah. Behold! he said to his people: "O my people, if it be hard on your (mind) that I should stay (with you) and commemorate the signs of Allah,- yet I put my trust in Allah. Get ye then an agreement about your plan and among your partners, so your plan be on to you dark and dubious. Then pass your sentence on me, and give me no respite.

Remember! Moses said to his people: "Call to mind the favour of Allah to you when He delivered you from the people of Pharaoh: they set you hard tasks and punishments, slaughtered your sons, and let your women-folk live: therein was a tremendous trial from your Lord."

(We also sent) Lut (as a messenger): behold, He said to his people, "Do ye do what is shameful though ye see (its iniquity)?

And (We also saved) Abraham: behold, he said to his people, "Serve Allah and fear Him: that will be best for you- If ye understand!

And (remember) Lut: behold, he said to his people: "Ye do commit lewdness, such as no people in Creation (ever) committed before you.

Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)?

And remember, Moses said to his people: "O my people! why do ye vex and insult me, though ye know that I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you?" Then when they went wrong, Allah let their hearts go wrong. For Allah guides not those who are rebellious transgressors.

当时，穆萨对他的宗族说：“我的宗族啊！你们确因认犊为神而自欺，故你们当向造物主悔罪，当处死罪人。在真主看来，这对於你们确是更好的。他就恕宥你们。他确是至宥的，确是至慈的。”

当时，穆萨替他的宗族祈水，我说：“你用手杖打那磐石吧。”十二道水泉，就从那磐石里涌出来，各部落都知道自己的饮水处。你们可以吃饮真主的给养，你们不要在地方上为非作歹。

当时，穆萨对他的宗族说：“真主的确命令你们宰一头牛。”他们说：“你愚弄我们吗？”他说：“我求真主保佑我，以免我变成愚人。”

.当时，穆萨对他的宗族说：“我的宗族呀！你们当记忆真主所赐你们的恩典，当时，他在你们中派遣许多先知，并使你们人人自主，而且把没有给过全世界任何人的（恩典）给了你们。

（我确已派遣）鲁特，当时他对他的宗族说：“你们怎么做那种丑事呢？在你们之前，全世界的人没有一个做过这种事的。

穆萨对他的宗族说：“你们要求助于真主，要忍受虐待；大地确是真主的，他使他意欲的臣仆继承它；优美的结局只归敬畏者。”

你当对他们宣读努哈的故事，当时他对他的宗族说：“我的宗族啊！如果我居住在你们中间，以真主的迹象教训你们，这使你们感到难堪，那末，我只信托真主，你们应当和你们的配主在一起决定你们的事情，不要让你们的事情成为暖昧的。你们对我做出判决吧，不要宽限我。

当时，穆萨曾对他的宗族说：“你们应当铭记真主赐给你们的恩典，他曾使你们脱离法老的臣民。他们使你们遭受酷刑，屠杀你们的男子，留下你们的女子，此中有从你们的主降下的大难。”

（我曾遣）鲁特，当日，他对他的宗族说：“你们怎么明目张胆地干丑事呢？

（我确已派遣）易卜拉欣，当日，他对他的宗族说：“你们应当崇拜真主，并当敬畏他，这对于你们是更好的。如果你们知道。

（我曾派遣）鲁特，当日，他对他的宗族说：“你们的确干丑事，在你们之前，全世界的人没有一个干过这种丑事的。

当时，他对他的宗族说：“难道你们不敬畏真主吗？

当时，穆萨曾对他的宗族说：“我的宗族啊！你们既知道我是真主派来教化你们的使者，你们为什麽诽谤我呢？”当他们背离正道的时候，真主使他们的心背离真理；真主是不引导悖逆的民众的。
