Why did not the believers - men and women - when ye heard of the affair,- put the best construction on it in their own minds and say, "This (charge) is an obvious lie"?

And why did ye not, when ye heard it, say? - "It is not right of us to speak of this: Glory to Allah! this is a most serious slander!"

But the misbelievers say: "Naught is this but a lie which he has forged, and others have helped him at it." In truth it is they who have put forward an iniquity and a falsehood.

And they say: "What sort of a messenger is this, who eats food, and walks through the streets? Why has not an angel been sent down to him to give admonition with him?

Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense."

It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed.

(Pharaoh) said to the Chiefs around him: "This is indeed a sorcerer well-versed:

"This is no other than a customary device of the ancients,

verily We have propounded for men, in this Qur'an every kind of Parable: But if thou bring to them any Sign, the Unbelievers are sure to say, "Ye do nothing but talk vanities."

Such is the Creation of Allah: now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created: nay, but the Transgressors are in manifest error.

"Taste ye then - for ye forgot the Meeting of this Day of yours, and We too will forget you - taste ye the Penalty of Eternity for your (evil) deeds!"

Yet from each (kind of water) do ye eat flesh fresh and tender, and ye extract ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the Bounty of Allah that ye may be grateful.

他就是任两海之间自由交流的，这是很甜的淡水，那是很苦的咸水； 他在两海之间设置屏障和堤防。

法老对他左右的贵族们说：“这确是一个高明的术士，

这不过是老生常谈罢了。

素莱曼继承达五德；他说：“众人啊！我们曾学会百鸟的语言，我们曾获得万物的享受，这确是明显的恩惠。”

那深知天经的人说：“转瞬间，我就把它拿来给你。”当他看见那个宝座安置在他面前的时候，他说：“这是我的主的恩惠之一，他欲以此试验我，看我是感谢者，还是孤负者。感谢者，只为自己的利益而感谢；孤负者（须知）我的主确是无求的、确是尊荣的。”

这是真主所创造的，你们指示我吧。你们舍真主而崇拜的（偶像）究竟创造了什么呢？不然，不义的人是在明显的迷误中的。

你们尝试吧！因为你们忘记今日的相会，我确已忘记你们了。你们因为自己的行为而尝试永久的刑罚吧。
