So he watered (their flocks) for them; then he turned back to the shade, and said:"O my Lord! truly am I in (desperate) need of any good that Thou dost send me!"
He said: "I intend to wed one of these my daughters to thee, on condition that thou serve me for eight years; but if thou complete ten years, it will be (grace) from thee. But I intend not to place thee under a difficulty: thou wilt find me, indeed, if Allah wills, one of the righteous."
Now when Moses had fulfilled the term, and was travelling with his family, he perceived a fire in the direction of Mount Tur. He said to his family: "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; I hope to bring you from there some information, or a burning firebrand, that ye may warm yourselves."
But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard from the right bank of the valley, from a tree in hallowed ground: "O Moses! Verily I am Allah, the Lord of the Worlds....
He said: "O my Lord! I have slain a man among them, and I fear lest they slay me.
"And my brother Aaron - He is more eloquent in speech than I: so send him with me as a helper, to confirm (and strengthen) me: for I fear that they may accuse me of falsehood."
But Lut had faith in Him: He said: "I will leave home for the sake of my Lord: for He is Exalted in Might, and Wise."
(Commanding), "Make thou coast of mail, balancing well the rings of chain armour, and work ye righteousness; for be sure I see (clearly) all that ye do."
"I would indeed, if I were to do so, be in manifest Error.
"For me, I have faith in the Lord of you (all): listen, then, to me!"
One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth),
And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!"
He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me!
Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!"
And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night):
Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay:
Say: "Verily, I am commanded to serve Allah with sincere devotion;
Say: "I would, if I disobeyed my Lord, indeed have fear of the Penalty of a Mighty Day."
Say: "O my People! Do whatever ye can: I will do (my part): but soon will ye know-
Said Pharaoh: "Leave me to slay Moses; and let him call on his Lord! What I fear is lest he should change your religion, or lest he should cause mischief to appear in the land!"
Moses said: "I have indeed called upon my Lord and your Lord (for protection) from every arrogant one who believes not in the Day of Account!"
Then said the man who believed: "O my people! Truly I do fear for you something like the Day (of disaster) of the Confederates (in sin)!-
"And O my people! I fear for you a Day when there will be Mutual calling (and wailing),-
Say: "I have been forbidden to invoke those whom ye invoke besides Allah,- seeing that the Clear Signs have come to me from my Lord; and I have been commanded to bow (in Islam) to the Lord of the Worlds."
We did send Moses aforetime, with Our Signs, to Pharaoh and his Chiefs: He said, "I am a messenger of the Lord of the Worlds."
Saying: "Restore to me the Servants of Allah: I am to you an messenger worthy of all trust;
"And be not arrogant as against Allah: for I come to you with authority manifest.
We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says, "O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam."
Mention (Hud) one of 'Ad's (own) brethren: Behold, he warned his people about the winding Sand-tracts: but there have been warners before him and after him: "Worship ye none other than Allah: Truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Mighty Day."
Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open!

当穆萨已做满期限,而带着他的家属旅行的时候,他看见那座山的这边有一处火光,他对他的家属说:“你们等待一下,我确已看见一处火光,也许我从火光的那里带一个消息来给你们,或带一个火把来给你们烤火。”
他已来到那个火光的附近,山谷的右岸上,有丛林的吉祥处,发出呼声说:“穆萨啊!我确是真主--全世界的主,
他说:“我的主啊!我确已杀过他们中的一个人,所以我怕他们杀我。
我的哥哥哈伦,口才比我好,求你派他同我去,做我的助手,证实我的使命;我的确怕他们否认我。”
鲁特就为他而信道。易卜拉欣说:“我必定迁移到我的主那里去,他确是万能的,确是至睿的。”
我对他说:“你应当制造完善的铠甲,你应当定好铠甲的宽度。你们应当行善,我确是明察你们的行为的。”
如果那样,我确是在明显的迷误中。
我确已归信你们的主,故你们应当听从我。”
他们中有一个人说:“我有一个朋友,
然后说:“我势必要害病。”
他说:“我果然要迁移到我的主所启示我的地方去,他将指导我。
当他长到能帮着他操作的时候,他说:“我的小子啊!我确已梦见我宰你为牺牲。你考虑一下!你究竟是什么意见?”他说:“我的父亲啊!请你执行你所奉的命令吧!如果真主意欲,你将发现我是坚忍的。”
他说:“我的确为记忆我的主而喜好马队,直到它们被帷幕遮住了。”
当时,你的主曾对众天神说:“我必定要用泥土创造一个人,
你说:“我确已奉命崇拜真主,而且忠心顺服他。
你说:“倘若我违抗我的主,我的确畏惧重大日的刑罚。”
你说:“我的宗族呀!你们在你们的情况之下工作吧!我确是工作的,不久你们就要知道,
法老说:“你们让我杀死穆萨!叫他祈祷他的主去吧!我的确怕他改变你们的宗教,或在国内作乱。”
穆萨说:“我确已求庇于我的主,亦即你们的主,免遭不信清算日的一切自大者的侵害。”
信道者说:“我的宗族啊!我的确怕你们遭遇前人所遭遇的灾难,
我的宗族啊!我的确为你们担心互相呼叫之日;
你说:“当许多明证从我的主来临我的时候,我确已奉到禁令,不准我崇拜你们舍真主而崇拜的;我确已奉到命令,叫我顺服全世界的主。”
我确已派遣穆萨带着我的许多迹象,去教化法老和他的贵族们,他说:“我确是全世界的主的使者。”
说:“你们把真主的仆人们交给我吧!我确是一个忠实的使者,奉命来教化你们的。
你们不要对真主高傲。我必定要昭示你们一个明证。
我曾命人孝敬父母;他的母亲,辛苦地怀他,辛苦地生他,他受胎和断乳的时期,共计三十个月。当他达到壮年,再达到四十岁的时候,他说:“我的主啊!求你启示我,使我感谢你所施于我和我的父母的恩惠,并行你所喜悦的善事。求你为我改善我的后裔。我确已向你悔罪,我确是一个顺服者。”
你纪念阿德人的弟兄吧!当时,他在沙丘警告他的宗族--在他以前和以后,有许多警告者,确已逝去了--他说:“你们应该只崇拜真主,我的确怕你们遭受重大日的刑罚。”
你说:“你们应当逃归真主,我对于你们确是一个坦率的警告者。
