Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.

They are the ones who denied Revelation and hindered you from the Sacred Mosque and the sacrificial animals, detained from reaching their place of sacrifice. Had there not been believing men and believing women whom ye did not know that ye were trampling down and on whose account a crime would have accrued to you without (your) knowledge, (Allah would have allowed you to force your way, but He held back your hands) that He may admit to His Mercy whom He will. If they had been apart, We should certainly have punished the Unbelievers among them with a grievous Punishment.

Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great Reward.

O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong.

But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing!

We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account).

But how many generations before them did We destroy (for their sins),- stronger in power than they? Then did they wander through the land: was there any place of escape (for them)?

(When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge.

No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me.

Has not the Time arrived for the Believers that their hearts in all humility should engage in the remembrance of Allah and of the Truth which has been revealed (to them), and that they should not become like those to whom was given Revelation aforetime, but long ages passed over them and their hearts grew hard? For many among them are rebellious transgressors.

And We sent Noah and Abraham, and established in their line Prophethood and Revelation: and some of them were on right guidance. But many of them became rebellious transgressors.

Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our messengers: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them: (We commanded) only the seeking for the Good Pleasure of Allah; but that they did not foster as they should have done. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors.

Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our messengers: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. Turnest thou not thy attention to those who turn (in friendship) to such as have the Wrath of Allah upon them? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to falsehood knowingly.

What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger (and taken away) from them - for this ye made no expedition with either cavalry or camelry: but Allah gives power to His messengers over any He pleases: and Allah has power over all things.

It may be that Allah will grant love (and friendship) between you and those whom ye (now) hold as enemies. For Allah has power (over all things); And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered a messenger from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;-

As well as (to confer all these benefits upon) others of them, who have not already joined them: And He is exalted in Might, Wise.

Does every man of them long to enter the Garden of Bliss?

Substitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan).

Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out!

Therefore be patient with constancy to the Command of thy Lord, and hearken not to the sinner or the ingrate among them.

Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others.

And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!-

你们在战场上遇到不信道者的时候，应当斩杀他们，你们既战胜他们，就应当俘虏他们；以后或释放他们，或准许他们赎身，直到战争放下他的重担。事情就是这样的，假若真主意欲，他必惩治他们；但他命你们抗战，以便他以你们互相考验。为主道而阵亡者，真主绝不枉费他们的善功，

他们不信道，并阻碍你们入禁寺，且阻止被扣留的牺牲达到它的已定的位置。若不为厌恶你们蹂躏你们所未认识的许多信道的男子和女子，而你们因此无知地犯罪，那末，他不制止你们。真主制止你们，以便他使他所意欲者入于他的恩惠之中。假若他们是散居的，我必使他们中不信道的人们受痛苦的刑罚。

他们不信道，并阻碍你们入禁寺，且阻止被扣留的牺牲达到它的已定的位置。若不为厌恶你们蹂躏你们所未认识的许多信道的男子和女子，而你们因此无知地犯罪，那末，他不制止你们。真主制止你们，以便他使他所意欲者入于他的恩惠之中。假若他们是散居的，我必使他们中不信道的人们受痛苦的刑罚。

穆罕默德是真主的使者，在他左右的人，对外道是庄严的，对教胞是慈祥的。你看他们鞠躬叩头，要求真主的恩惠和喜悦，他们的标记就在他们的脸上，那是叩头的效果。那是他们在《讨拉特》中的譬喻。他们在《引支勒》中的譬喻，是他们象一棵庄稼，发出支条，而他助它长大，而那支条渐渐茁壮，终于固定在苗本上，使农夫欣赏。他将他们造成那样，以便他借他们激怒外道。真主应许他们这等信道而且行善者，将蒙赦宥和重大的报酬。

信道的人们啊！你们中的男子，不要互相嘲笑；被嘲笑者，或许胜于嘲笑者。你们中的女子，也不要互相嘲笑；被嘲笑者，或许胜于嘲笑者。你们不要互相诽谤，不要以诨名相称；信道后再以诨名相称，这称呼真恶劣！未悔罪者，是不义的。

难道他们因同族的警告者来临他们而惊讶吗？不信道的人们说：“这是奇事！

我确己知道大地对于他们的剥蚀，我这里有一本被保护的天经。

在他们之前，我毁灭了许多比他们更强悍的世代！他们曾在各地旅行，难道有什么避死的地方吗？

他为他们而心怀恐惧。他们说：“你不要恐惧。”他们以一个有学识的儿童向他报喜。

我不望他们的供给，我也不望他们的奉养。

难道信士们以为时间还未到，故他们的心不为真主的教诲和他所降示的真理而柔和吗？他们不可以象以前曾奉天经的人们那样，经过长时期后，他们的心就变硬了，他们中有许多人是犯罪的。

我确已派遣努哈和易卜拉欣，我以预言和天经赏赐他们俩的后裔；他们中有遵循正道的，他们中有许多人是悖逆的。

在他们之后，我曾继续派遣我的众使者，我又继续派遣麦尔彦之子尔撒，我赏赐他《引支勒》，我使他的信徒们心怀仁爱和慈悯。他们自创出家制--我未曾以出家为他们的定制--他们创设此制，以求真主的喜悦；但他们未曾切实的遵守它，故我把报酬赏赐他们中的信道者。他们中有许多人是悖逆的。

难道你没有看见与真主所遣怒的民众结交的人们吗？他们不属於你们，也不属於那些民众；他们明知故犯地以谎言盟誓。

凡真主收归使者的逆产，你们都没有汗马之劳；但真主使众使者，制服他所意欲者；真主对于万事，是全能的。

真主或许在你们和你们所仇视的人之间造化友谊，真主是全能的；真主是至赦的，是至慈的。

他在文盲中派遣一个同族的使者，去对他们宣读他的迹象，并培养他们，教授他们天经和智慧，尽管以前他们确是在明显的迷误中；

并教化还没有赶上他们的其他人。真主是万能的，是至睿的。

难道他们每个人都希望入恩泽的乐园吗？

我能以比他们更好的人代替他们，我不是无能的。

不然，他们中的每个人都希望获得一些展开的天经。

故你应当忍受你的主的判决。你不要顺从他们中任何犯罪的人，或孤恩的人。

在那日，各人将自顾不暇；

他们对於信士们，只责备他们信仰真主--万能的，可颂的主，
