So if they dispute with thee, say: "I have submitted My whole self to Allah and so have those who follow me." And say to the People of the Book and to those who are unlearned: "Do ye (also) submit yourselves?" If they do, they are in right guidance, but if they turn back, Thy duty is to convey the Message; and in Allah's sight are (all) His servants.

If any one disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come to thee, say: "Come! let us gather together,- our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!"

When those come to thee who believe in Our signs, Say: "Peace be on you: Your Lord hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) mercy: verily, if any of you did evil in ignorance, and thereafter repented, and amend (his conduct), lo! He is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

If they accuse thee of falsehood, say: "Your Lord is full of mercy all-embracing; but from people in guilt never will His wrath be turned back.

If, then, Allah bring thee back to any of them, and they ask thy permission to come out (with thee), say: "Never shall ye come out with me, nor fight an enemy with me: for ye preferred to sit inactive on the first occasion: Then sit ye (now) with those who lag behind."

But if they turn away, Say: "Allah sufficeth me: there is no god but He: On Him is my trust,- He the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme!"

They say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "The Unseen is only for Allah (to know), then wait ye: I too will wait with you."

Say: "Who is it that sustains you (in life) from the sky and from the earth? or who is it that has power over hearing and sight? And who is it that brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living? and who is it that rules and regulates all affairs?" They will soon say, "Allah". Say, "will ye not then show piety (to Him)?"

If they charge thee with falsehood, say: "My work to me, and yours to you! ye are free from responsibility for what I do, and I for what ye do!"

And even if thou hast to turn away from them in pursuit of the Mercy from thy Lord which thou dost expect, yet speak to them a word of easy kindness.

They ask thee concerning the Mountains: say, "My Lord will uproot them and scatter them as dust;

But if they turn back, Say: "I have proclaimed the Message to you all alike and in truth; but I know not whether that which ye are promised is near or far.

Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!"

And to rehearse the Qur'an: and if any accept guidance, they do it for the good of their own souls, and if any stray, say: "I am only a Warner".

But if they turn away, say thou: "I have warned you of a stunning Punishment (as of thunder and lightning) like that which (overtook) the 'Ad and the Thamud!"

"And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?-

.如果他们与你争论，你就说：“我已全体归顺真主；顺从我的人，也归顺真主。”你对曾受天经的人和不识字的人说：“你们已经归顺了吗?”如果他们归顺，那末，他们已遵循正道。如果他们背弃，那末，你只负通知的责任。真主是明察众仆的。

在知识降临你之后，凡与你争论此事的人，你都可以对他们说：“你们来吧！让我们召集我们各自的孩子，我们的妇女和你们的妇女，我们的自身和你们的自身，然后让我们祈祷真主弃绝说谎的人。”

确信我的迹象的人来见你的时候，你说：“祝你们平安。你们的主，曾以慈悯为自己的责任。你们中谁无知地作恶，然后悔过自新，真主必定赦宥谁，因为他确是至赦的，确是至慈的。”

如果他们否认你，你就说：“你们的主，是有广大的慈恩的；但无人能替犯罪的民众抵抗他的刑罚。”

如果真主使你转回去见到他们中的一伙人，而他们要求你允许他们出征，你就对他们说：“你们永远不要同我一道出征，你们绝不要同我一道去作战；你们初次确已喜欢安坐家中，往后，你们就同留在后方的人们一起安坐家中吧！”

如果他们违背正道，你就说：“真主是能使我满足的，除他外，绝无应受崇拜的。我只信托他，他是有伟大的宝座的。”

他们说：“为何没有一种迹象从他的主降临他呢？”你说：“幽玄只归真主，你们期待著吧！我确是和你们在一起期待著的！”

你说：“谁从天上和地上给你们提供给养？谁主持你们的听觉和视觉？谁使活物从死物中生出？谁使死物从活物中生出？谁管理事物？”他们要说：“真主。”你说：“难道你们不敬畏他吗？

如果他们称你为说谎者，你就说：“我有我的工作，你们有你们的工作，你们与我所做的事无干，我与你们所做的事无涉。”

如果你必须求得你所希望的从主降示的恩惠后才能周济他们，那末，你应该对他们说温和的话。

他们问你诸山的（结局），你说：“我的主将粉碎诸山，

如果他们背离正道，你就说：“我公平地通知你们， 我不知道你们所被警告的（刑罚）是临近的呢？还是遥远的呢？

如果你的亲戚违抗你，你应当说：“我对于你们的行为确是无干的。”

并宣读《古兰经》。”谁遵循正道，谁自受其益；谁误入歧途，你对谁说：“我只是一个警告者。”

如果他们退避，你就说：“我警告你们一种刑罚，它象阿德人和赛莫德人所受的刑罚一样。”

你对他说：'你愿意成为纯洁的人吗？
