Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against Allah, or saith, "I have received inspiration," when he hath received none, or (again) who saith, "I can reveal the like of what Allah hath revealed"? If thou couldst but see how the wicked (do fare) in the flood of confusion at death! - the angels stretch forth their hands, (saying),"Yield up your souls: this day shall ye receive your reward,- a penalty of shame, for that ye used to tell lies against Allah, and scornfully to reject of His signs!"

We divided them into twelve tribes or nations. We directed Moses by inspiration, when his (thirsty) people asked him for water: "Strike the rock with thy staff": out of it there gushed forth twelve springs: Each group knew its own place for water. We gave them the shade of clouds, and sent down to them manna and quails, (saying): "Eat of the good things We have provided for you": (but they rebelled); to Us they did no harm, but they harmed their own souls.

The Unbelievers say: "We shall neither believe in this scripture nor in (any) that (came) before it." Couldst thou but see when the wrong-doers will be made to stand before their Lord, throwing back the word (of blame) on one another! Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!"

Warn them of the Day that is (ever) drawing near, when the hearts will (come) right up to the throats to choke (them); No intimate friend nor intercessor will the wrong-doers have, who could be listened to.

When the yokes (shall be) round their necks, and the chains; they shall be dragged along-

Behold, the most wicked man among them was deputed (for impiety).

假借真主的名义而造谣的，自称奉到启示，其实，没有奉到任何启示的人，或妄言要像真主那样降示天经的人，这等人谁比他们还不义呢？不义的人正在临死的苦痛中，众天神伸著手说：“你们拿出你们的灵魂吧！今天你们要受辱刑的报酬，因为你们假借真主的名义而造谣，并藐视他的迹象。”那时，假若你看见他们的情状，……。

我把他们分为十二支派，即部落。当穆萨的宗族向他求水的时候，我启示他说：“你用你的手杖打那磐石吧。”十二股泉水就从那磐石里涌出来，各部落都知道自己的饮水处。我以白云荫蔽他们，又降下甘露和鹌鹑给他们。（我对他们说）：”你们可以吃我所供给你们的佳美的食物。”他们没有亏负我，但他们自亏了。

当你们相遇的时候，他使你们眼见敌军是少数的，又使你们在他们的眼里变成少数的；以便真主判决一件必行的事。万事只归真主裁决。

你应当在这部经典里提及麦尔彦，当日她离开了家属而到东边一个地方。

假若你得见犯罪者在他们的主那里垂头丧气地说：“我们的主啊！我们已经看见了，听见了，求你让我们转回去，我们将做善事，我们确是确信者。”假若你看见这种情状……。

不信道的人们说：“我们决不信这《古兰经》，也不信以前的经典。”假若你得见不义的人们被拘留在他们的主那里的时候，他们互相辩驳，被欺负的人们将对骄傲的人们说：“假若没有你们，我们必定是信道的。”

你应当以临近之日警告他们，那时他们的心将升到咽喉，他满腹忧愁。不义者，将没有任何亲友，也没有奏效的说情者。

那时，铁圈和铁链，将在他们的颈上，

当时，他们中最薄命者忙上前来，
