And remember ye said: "O Moses! We shall never believe in thee until we see Allah manifestly," but ye were dazed with thunder and lighting even as ye looked on.

They (also) said: "Allah took our promise not to believe in an messenger unless He showed us a sacrifice consumed by Fire (From heaven)." Say: "There came to you messengers before me, with clear Signs and even with what ye ask for: why then did ye slay them, if ye speak the truth?"

When there comes to them a sign (from Allah), They say: "We shall not believe until we receive one (exactly) like those received by Allah's messengers." Allah knoweth best where (and how) to carry out His mission. Soon will the wicked be overtaken by humiliation before Allah, and a severe punishment, for all their plots.

They will present their excuses to you when ye return to them. Say thou: "Present no excuses: we shall not believe you: Allah hath already informed us of the true state of matters concerning you: It is your actions that Allah and His Messenger will observe: in the end will ye be brought back to Him Who knoweth what is hidden and what is open: then will He show you the truth of all that ye did."

They say: "We shall not believe in thee, until thou cause a spring to gush forth for us from the earth,

"Or thou have a house adorned with gold, or thou mount a ladder right into the skies. No, we shall not even believe in thy mounting until thou send down to us a book that we could read." Say: "Glory to my Lord! Am I aught but a man,- a messenger?"

The Unbelievers say: "We shall neither believe in this scripture nor in (any) that (came) before it." Couldst thou but see when the wrong-doers will be made to stand before their Lord, throwing back the word (of blame) on one another! Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!"

当时，你们说：“穆萨啊！我们绝不信你，直到我们亲眼看见真主。”故疾雷袭击了你们，这是你们看著的。

他们曾说：“真主确已命令我们不可确信任何使者，直到他昭示火所焚化的供物。”你说：“在我之前，有许多使者已昭示你们许多明证，并昭示你们所请求的；如果你们是诚实的，你们为什么要杀害他们呢?”

当一种迹象降临他们的时候，他们说：“我们绝不信，直到我们得受众使者所受的（启示）。”真主是知道要把自己的使命安置在什么地方的。犯罪者，将因自己的计谋，而遭受真主那里的屈辱，和痛苦的刑罚。

当你们转回去见到他们的时候，他们要向你们托故。你说：“你们不要托故。我们绝不相信你们；真主确已把你们的情况告诉了我们。真主及其使者将要看你们的行为，然后，你们将被送到全知幽明者那里去，他将把你们的行为告诉你们。”

他们说：“我们绝不信你，直到你为我们而使一道源泉从地下涌出，

或者你有一所黄金屋；或者你升上天去，我们绝不信你确已升天，直到你降示我们所能阅读的经典。”你说：“赞颂我的主超绝万物！我只是一个曾奉使命的凡人。”

不信道的人们说：“我们决不信这《古兰经》，也不信以前的经典。”假若你得见不义的人们被拘留在他们的主那里的时候，他们互相辩驳，被欺负的人们将对骄傲的人们说：“假若没有你们，我们必定是信道的。”
