Thus have We placed leaders in every town, its wicked men, to plot (and burrow) therein: but they only plot against their own souls, and they perceive it not.

When there comes to them a sign (from Allah), They say: "We shall not believe until we receive one (exactly) like those received by Allah's messengers." Allah knoweth best where (and how) to carry out His mission. Soon will the wicked be overtaken by humiliation before Allah, and a severe punishment, for all their plots.

Such is one of the stories of what happened unseen, which We reveal by inspiration unto thee; nor wast thou (present) with them then when they concerted their plans together in the process of weaving their plots.

And do thou be patient, for thy patience is but from Allah; nor grieve over them: and distress not thyself because of their plots.

But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots.

If any do seek for glory and power,- to Allah belong all glory and power. To Him mount up (all) Words of Purity: It is He Who exalts each Deed of Righteousness. Those that lay Plots of Evil,- for them is a Penalty terrible; and the plotting of such will be void (of result).

我这样使-个城市都有一些罪魁，以便他们在那里用计谋；其实，他们的计谋，只害自己，但他们不自觉。

当一种迹象降临他们的时候，他们说：“我们绝不信，直到我们得受众使者所受的（启示）。”真主是知道要把自己的使命安置在什么地方的。犯罪者，将因自己的计谋，而遭受真主那里的屈辱，和痛苦的刑罚。

那是一部分幽玄的消息，我把它启示你。当他们用计谋决策的时候，你不在他们面前，

你应当容忍--你的容忍只赖真主的佑助--你不要为他们而悲伤，不要为他们的计谋而烦恼。

你不要为他们的（悖逆）而忧愁，不要为他们的计谋而烦闷。

欲得光荣者，须知光荣全归真主。良言将为他所知，他升起善行。图谋不轨者，将受严厉的刑罚；这些人的图谋，是不能得逞的。
